i love this card

I have had this card for almost 6 years. I absolutely love it. If your someone who wants to treat this card as cash back, don't bother, you will not get the return proportionly. If you choose this card, understand your choosing a Flyer Miles travel card, not a cash back. As a military member, I have no Annual membership fee and my interest rate is capped at 4%, and other waived fees. I treat my credit card like a debit card, I have never paid interest by always paying it off in full and I use it for everything possible. So I earn my flyer miles absolutely free. For anyone who has this card, don't purchase tickets through their website, you'll find it cheaper somewhere else, like Travelocity or something. Purchase the ticket with your credit card regularly. Then when the transaction posts, use the purchase eraser to credit your account back. This is especially great option because the CapitalOne Site doesnt let you purchase part of a ticket with points and rest with credit card if you dont have enough points. So you can use the purchase eraser to give a credit back for however many points you do have. The statement credit is proportionate. IE: 42,550 Miles will be a credit of $425.50 credit for rental cars and hotels. One thing I haven't checked to see is if, you purchase the ticket with your credit card, and use the purchase eraser, if it will take back the miles or if you still retain them. I recommend this credit card for anone wanting a credit card that will maximize their travel rewards.

I use this card for work without any issues.

I got this card when I started working for the local college because about once a month I travel to other colleges via air travel. The card had great mileage rewards programs that I can apply to future trips, my own travel, or to more school trips. I've had no problems with this card. I can use my reward miles towards any airline I've ever wanted to use, I can use my miles on nearly any date (so long as their is a flight available, I can go), and I haven't had any issues with accommodations. I've even been able to redeem my miles and then pay the additional fees out of pocket to upgrade my accommodations. Customer Service The customer service agents I've spoken to have been a mix of good and bad. Occasionally I will call and someone will be utterly clueless, which I am usually patient with, however I was hung up on on more than one occasion by an individual whose accent I could not understand. I am not bashful and do not mind asking to speak to someone with an American accent. I try not to be rude, but sometimes when I am on the phone with someone whose accent I can't comprehend fully, I will politely say "I'm sorry, I am having a difficult time with your accent, would it be possible to redirect my call?" This has gotten me hung up on several times and I find it rude. If I am unable to talk to a representative and understand them, how will my issue be resolved? Otherwise, I love customer service. I've had great responses, quick help, and even had help changing flight dates with points redeems. Available Rates The fees with my card have not increased in the three years I have been working for my local college. I do not have any complaints with this card and love the value I get out of the miles.

redeeming points starting to be "hassel"

For card known for making it easy to redeem miles or points I am disapointed that Capital One doesn't have as much to offer as some other credit cards.  I can get a $10.00 gift certificate from Wells Fargo for just 1000 points or get a $25.00 one for 2500 points.

Terrific Rewards- 2% back on everything with this Cap. One Visa

This card provides 2% back (in mileage rewards) on everything thing you buy. That's the best consistent "rebate" I've ever come across. Its easy to redeem your award for cash back for previousoy purchased travel (or for cash, if you want, at a slightly lower rebate rate). The card has no fee, and was flexible with me when I missed a payment, by removing the late fee (they won't do this more than once/year, though). The customer service is excellent, respectful, and located in the United States! I had an issue with a merchant, where I had paid for a product that the merchant never shipped (valued at over $800 !). Capital One Visa immediately credited my account for the disputed charge and advised the merchant that unless they could show that they had sent the product (it was a laptop computer) within 30 days, the credit would remain on my account.   I also love the feature that enables you to peersonalize the card by uploading a photo or picture of your choice to be displayed on the card.

Good for miles.

I have had the Capital One No Hassle Miles Card for about 5 years.  I originally got it because my in-laws live in Texas and we needed a card that was good with low black-out dates and could be used for any airline.  The process is relatively easy.  You just get the points, order the ticket and submit for reimbursement.  I, however, have never actually used it for miles...we now get the rewards.  20,000 points equals $175, really for either cash or airline credit. It used to be that you needed a minimum of 20,000 points to trade in, but they have since changed it, as I have been able to trade in my points for cash for as little as 5000 points.  It is so easy.  I just call the rewards number, press the numbers of what I want, and I recieve a check in the mail less than a week later.  It really is no-hassle.  The main drawback is that you recieve a relatively low percent back. I am actually intending on switching to their No Hassle Cash back; which provides 2 percent on all grocery and gas, while 1% on the rest.  Right now I"m getting like .75%.  But I do like the company.  Whenever we have a late fee or question they are easy to work with.  Hope this helps.

Capital One really NO HASSLE!!!!

Capital one No Hassle Credit card is a good choice for those looking to save, earn and relax.  You save as you get miles for every purchase you make, this miles can turn into cash, gift certificate or miles which can be redeemed for air travel, cruise or hotel including all inclusive resorts.  The best thing about the travel is that there are no blackout dates.  You can choose to reserve travel through their site or you can arrange travel yourself elsewhere.  So for instance if you find a good discount on a vacation at one site you can combine that with the mileage ang get the best deal on it.  Their value for traveling is the following: 15,000 miles for travel between $0-$150, 30,000 miles for travel between $150.01 - $350.00 and 60,000 miles for travel between $350.01 and $600.00, therefore if for instance you buy an airplane ticket that cost $200 with taxes 3 people can travel altogether with 60,000 miles, which means that your friends and family can enjoy the rewards.  Don't want to travel, no problem get cash back and buy anything you wish for. Use the card on everyday purchase and get tons of rewards which in fact never expire.

very versatile for airline travel

Capital one credit card is extremely flexible whenit comes to airline travel. there are no black out dates and all airlines are included. you can pick your own flights and either book online or by phone with a representative that will help you out quite a bit.  the annual fee is extremely low and well worth it.  several times our credit card number was compromised, sometimes overseas and capital one caught it everytime and issued new cards immediately, took off all charges and we had no fees associated with the fraud.. if you do not use the card to collect air miles, you can choose to cash the miles in for actual cash-back option.  this is a nice option as sometimes the money comes in handy for gifts etc.  you can also just apply the credit amount to your actual bill the one thing i did not like about the card was that if you forgot to tell them you were going out of the country, you ran the risk of your card getting refused.  this however was not consistently enforced.  overall, this is a very good card to use especially if you choose the miles option and do not want to limit yourself to any one airline.

cap. one mileage plus card gets you mileage even for free trips!

the capital one mileage plus no hassle rewards card is the bomb! earn points for every purchase, which you can redeem for cash back or merchandise...but best of all are the airline benefits! points are used as cash so you can buy any ticket on earth for any amount of money and the requisite number of points are deducted. the cool thing is...since you are essentially "buying"  your free tickets with points, you still get your airline frequent flyer miles for free flights! i flew to barcelona for free and got about 12,000 miles out of the transaction. i have always paid all my bills in full and on time, so i have no idea the terms and conditions on the card, but if you are even a semi-frequent flyer, this is the best airline miles reward card out there!

Great card and great service

5

This card is a great rewards card! The rewards are easy to redeem and are easy to earn since many items earn more than just one point per dollar spent. The customer service is awesome as well! We have had issues with other credit cards when we have a suspect purchase or suspected that someone had our card number. CapitalOne is a "no questions asked" customer service company that will help enusre that your card number is safe and you are not responsible for the fradulent charges if someone does happen to get it. We've never gotten less than the best customer service from this company!

Great until you have a problem which may take months to solve.

I have deactivated my Capital One because I had an unauthorized charge. The cancelled my card and issued a new one and then let the unauthorized charger, charge again. I spent hours and days talking to the "international" support center and when I requested to cancel the card, I was finally transferred to someone in the states who could help me. It is deactivated to this day.
