I have purchased Caltrate calcium supplements for years. When I saw this product I was skeptical and wondered if it would taste good. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these have a great chocolate taste! Each calcium chew is individually wrapped so they stay fresh. If you don't like swallowing pills or are looking for a good tasting option for your calcium supplement I highly recommend these chews!

I recently switched from Viactiv Calcium Chews to Caltrate 600-D Soft Chews.  I am unable to swallow calcium tablets, so as it is necessary for me to take a calcium supplement, I must take something I do not need to swallow but can chew.  I had been taking Viactiv practically since they were introduced on the market, but lately the new and improved Viactiv were horrible tasting and chalky.  So scouting the vitamin shelves, I saw Caltrate 600-D Soft Chews Calcium Supplement.  They were available in three flavors~~chocolate truffle, strawberry and vanilla.  I immediately noticed that Caltrate contained more calcium (great) than Viactiv  and  both contained Vitamin D.  So, being a woman who loves chocolate, I purchased the chocolate truffle flavor of the Caltrate 600-D Soft Chews.  Each soft chew contains 600 mg of calcium and 400 IU of Vitamin D in a good tasting and soft, smooth chew.  It is almost like you are eating a piece of  chocolate candy.  Depending  on what your doctor recommends, one  or two soft chews is the  usual dosage, and two chews total around 15 calories.   Price is about the same, but even if it were more, I am now a confirmed Caltrate Soft Chew user.

I was looking for an easier way to get my daily calcium. I don't like the big pills that are hard to swallow, I was tired of chewing the antacids, and just don't drink that much milk. I saw these in the store, and thought I'd give it a try. I like the fact that they aren't very big - they are about the size of a small Tootsie Roll candy. They have a very similar texture and flavor to that candy, so it is a pleasant way to get your calcium. I also like that this product has just calcium and Vitamin D. Their competitor's has Vitamin K as well, and I didn't think I needed that. I hope they will keep it that way. My only complaint is the price. They are pretty pricey for the amount you get, but I did find a coupon on their website. Will definitely buy again soon.

I have stayed away from Calcium for some time now as it seemed to hurt my stomach. But I knew that I really needed to take calcium so I continue to try different products periodically. After about 2 years of not taking calcium, I found these New Caltrate Calcium & Vitamin D Soft Chews. I've been taking them for about a month now and have had NO stomach problems. The are great tasting and come in a few different flavors. Right now I am using the Chocolate Truffle. They have 1200 mg of calcium & 800 IU of D in 2 soft chews daily. The bag that I purchased contains 60 soft chews. I'm looking forward to trying other flavors as well. The pink and white packaging is what actually caught my attention on the shelf and caused me to stop and read about it. It is more like eating candy than taking a pill so much more enjoyable. I don't like to take medicine or even extra vitamins and this certain doesn't seem like medicine or a vitamin in the soft chew form.
