I just started using Caltrate Calcium woth Vitamin D Tablets. They are great! I use to take a calcium & magnesium and my vitamin D separetly. The tablets were so big I use to have to cut them in half with pill cutter. Let me tell you it made me miserable to the point I would not take my vitamins. I would choke on them all the time. Something that you have to take every day should be easy and no get caught in your throat. I was never sure if the vitamins were going down or dissolving properly. I tried the Caltrate Calcium with Vitamin D tablets and was amazed. They not only taste great they are chewable. It made my day. I now never forget to take my vitamins, (which I need), but I take them with joy. The taste is good, and they dissolve so easily to the point I'm researching what other vitamins I'm lacking that the brand Caltrate may make. I enjoy my vitamins now. Yes I will/would recommend these vitamins, and I'm excited about finding what other vitamins or supplements Caltrate make.

After using chewable calcium tablets for 24 years and caltrate for the majority of that time, I was used to and liked the taste and texture. Why change if you are happy with the product, right? Now caltrate has a 'new and improved' version which tastes terrible, leaves a strong, unpleasant taste along with a chalky consistency. If only this new version is available, I will be looking for another brand. Pfizer, you made a mistake in trying to fix an un-broken wheel, probably driven purely by profit or some young rocket scientist who has never needed a calcium supplement.

My doctor recommended that I start taking calcium since I am over 50 now. I thought I would try these since they are from Caltrate and are one of the leading brands. These were huge, everytime I tried to swallow one I gagged. I kept on trying for a few days but finally it got to where I couldn't even try. I'm sure they are a good product but they are not for me. I wish they made one that were a little tablet which would be easier to swallow or even in gel like capsules, like fish oil, at least they would go down a little easier. Even if they coated these they might be a little easier to swallow. I don't know how anyone could possibly swallow them. I am still searching for a product that works well and is easy to take. I wish they had sample sizes of these kind of vitamins so people could try them before they purchase a big bottle that they can not use and then have to throw it away.

*I take this daily bc ...well lets face it....I am getting old....lol. It doesn't upset your stomach or cause other problems some vitamins do. It is easy to swallow but its pricey, but hey...don't cheap up on vitamins...thats a no no *
