Never buy another pan. EVER!

5

I have all of the Contemporary Nonstick pans. I would never buy another set of pans. They are the best pans out there. The price is totally worth it because they are lifetime guaranteed by Calphalon. They NEVER stick! The only slight downside is they are not dishwasher safe. They sometimes are a little pricey but they sell them at Bed Bath and Beyond and they usually have a 20% off coupon which helps out a bunch! Also if you buy the bigger sets they usually have a bonus gift which is another pan! Doesn't Stick I have never had a problem ever with these pans sticking. If you are nervous about sticking you could use a PAM spray. Heat Distribution These pans heat extremely evenly and well. There is no problem with them and heating. Durability These pans are very durable. I've accidently dropped them on the floor and they have had nothing happen to them. Also with the hard anodized surface there is no flaking off of the nonstick surface. Just make sure you only use a plastic spatula or spoon. Don't use a metal utensil or the pan will scratch.

Pretty good pans

4

I gave this a 4 because while they are good pans, they are expensive. Doesn't Stick I love calphalon non stick pans because they really are non stick. Sure, you still need to cook with some type of oil or something, as food cant dry cook in a pan, but I have never had anything stick to them. After cooking I run hot water over them and everything in the pan just slides out making cleaning a breeze Heat Distribution These pans cook very well on a number of stoves. I like them best on a gas stove because I can control the heat more. Ease of Handling They are made great. T like the angle of the handle to the pan. There is enough room for me to grab the pan without feeling like my hand is hitting the counter top Ease of Cleaning I don't recommend a dishwasher for these, as the harsh chemicals and extreme heat can ruin them. they are super easy to hand wash, you never have to scrub because nothing sticks to them. Design I think they are a great shape and size, the only thing I don't like are the little metal round heads that attach the handle, on the inside of the pan, as food builds up around and sticks on them.

Love my Calphalon omelet pan

5

I have a large set of Calphalon pots and pans, and I am really happy with my purchase. I had purchased another brand of the hard adonized set first, and I found that it spewed water from the bottom where the metal was sealed together. But with my Calphalon plans, I have never had a problem with that. The omelet pans are great because they are the perfect small size to cook up an omelet or grilled cheese sandwich. They are easy to clean, and I have even put them in the dishwasher a couple of times but usually handwash them. They do show some browning on the bottoms of the pans, but that doesn't bother me. Overall, I really love these omelet pans. Doesn't Stick I have to use a spray. Heat Distribution I love that these pans heat up quickly and stay evenly heated for a long period of time. Ease of Cleaning They are easy to clean and clean up well. Just use a dish rag and some soap. I've put mine in the dishwasher a few times but try to not do that too much. Durability Mine have shown great durability through lots of uses.

Awesome pans!

Since moving out on my own about 15 years ago I've owned more brands of cookware than I can count. Some were hand me downs, some were gifts, and some I've purchased on my own. I've lost, trashed and given away pieces along the way and I'm sure that trend will continue for years to come. I currently have a decent modge podge of cookware and bakeware. Most of the pieces work week for me, or they would have been part of the afore mentioned trashed pieces. My Calphalon cookware is some if my favorite. They're nice, sturdy pans. They hold up well. I'm not the best cook, I'm learning as I go but I've been known to burn a meal or two (dozen) and these always come clean no matter what disaster I've managed to make of the food being cooked in them. Ease of Handling I have a harder time with the heftier pots and pans. These are fairly thick and heavy but not so much that I would get rid of them. Ease of Cleaning Their non-stick coating is great. It makes clean up super simple and easy.

my most used products

I love my 10 and 12 inch pans! These are probably the 2 pans I use the most in my kitchen. I use these for stir-fry, pan frying, browning meat and much more. Doesn't Stick This is the one area I am the least impressed by with these pans. I cannot seem to find the right ratio of just enough oil to keep them from having too much oil versus not having enough to keep the food from sticking. Heat Distribution These have exceptionally great heat distribution and always cook food really evenly. Ease of Handling These pans handle great and it is really easy to stir with one hand and hold the pan with the other! Ease of Cleaning It takes some elbow grease to get these clean sometimes and they seem to stain easily but as long as a little hard work and a few stains don't bother you then these pans are great. Design I love the design and look and feel of these pans. I probably picked them out because of that more than anything. Durability These pans are very durable. I put them in the dishwasher all the time!

Caphalon Nonstick Pan A Must for Omelettes

4

If you cook eggs or omelettes, a nonstick pan is a must. I use Caphalon Nonstick pans for quite a bit of dishes, mostly eggs. If you don't use a nonstick pan, you will end up with a mess and you might have to toss out the pan. The pans are fairly inexpensive compared to others that you can purchase, but I find that I go through them more often than other pots and pans I use. The coating at the bottom starts to peel off after a few years or so. But, I love to cook omelets and the nonstick pan cleans up nicely and you don't end up with a huge egg mess after you are finished cooking. The egg doesn't stick to the pan and you can flip your omelet without it sticking and tearing apart. There are not many styles to choose from, but you don't really need more than a basic nonstick pan. The pan is durable, but like I said, it doesn't last forever and you will need to replace it after a few years or so, but I'd say it's a kitchen essential.

Calphalon 10" and 8" Nonstick Omelette Pan Set

5

You simply cannot go wrong with the purchase of the Calphalon Omelette Pan for making eggs and omelette at breakfast time. This nonstick pan is the best on the market. I taught my oldest son how to make omelettes for himself and now I have Omelette chef. The Calphalon pan is sturdy and not heavy when using it. As a matter of fact the nonstick element of the pan makes it lighter for making omelettes. You should not encounter any problems with food stick to the surface of the pan. The entire pan heats nicely and cleaning it is a delight. Doesn't Stick To date I have not encountered one problem with food sticking to the pan. Heat Distribution Calphalon has developed a pan that evenly distributes heat on the entire surface. Cooking with their pan is a delight. Ease of Handling The ease of handling this pan is wonderful when using it to cook. Ease of Cleaning The ease of cleaning with the Calphalon pan is a delight. Just soap and water and no scrubbing of the pan either. Design The design of this pan is straightforward clean and sturdy. Durability My son makes omelettes on a daily basis and this pan has met the test of durability especially with growing teenagers active in sports.

love this pan set

My husband bought me the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10 and 12 Inch Omelette Pan Set because I was always complaining about the yolk in my eggs busting when I fried eggs in the skillets that we had. He went to the store specifically looking for a skillet set with a nonstick coating on them and, lucky for me, the Calphalon set was the one he picked. I was skeptical when I first tried to fry an eggs in these, but to my amazement, the eggs did not stick at all. I was able to fry them, flip them and remove them from the skillet with ease and the yolk was still runny and intact! Since then I have used my omelette skillets thousands of times and they still work just as well as they did that very first time. Calphalon is a little higher priced, but it is still very reasonable for the quality of the product. I have since added many more pieces made by Calphalon to my cookware collection, but these omelette pans are my favorites.

Great pan, but doesn't last long.

I was in the market for a new pan and decided to go with the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick Pans. I mainly purchased the pans to cook my egg whites. I used the 12 inch pan pretty much daily for 9 months. The pan has a nice weight and decent depth for stirring. The pan was wonderful for the first 6 months and then the non-stick coating started to break down. My eggs would constantly stick to the pan even after I started using cooking spray. I took excellent care of this pan and never scrapped it with any rough abrasives so I don't understand why the coating just went bad. Also, the bottom of the pan started to peel off and cause uneven heat spots in the pan. It appears these pans will only last at most 12 months before you need to replace them. I can't see myself buying these pans again because of the durability. There are lower costing pans that last longer then these pans. I definitely wouldn't recommend buying these pans for the long haul.

Perfect for cooking just about anything!

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10 and 12 Inch Omelette Pan Set was one of my favorite gifts that I've received in recent memory. I love to cook so this was only perfect. The 10 inch pan is perfect for cooking scrambled eggs in the morning along with smaller vegetables and other breakfast items. It's just the right size and has tall walls so that I don't have to worry about any falling out when moving the pan. The 12 inch is perfect to cook just about everything. My family loves fajitas and cooking meals on the stove so this pan gets quite a bit of use. Of course the fact that the pans are nonstick is perfect as there's a lot less time spent on cleaning (let alone cleaning seems to be a breeze compared to most pans that I have used) and the food doesn't seem to burn as much. This pan set is decently priced but well worth it in the end. Even if I didn't' receive this as a gift I was planning on buying them soon anyways. I recommend these pans to anyone who loves to cook or wants an easier time in the "post cooking" phase while cleaning up.
