California Baby makes really wonderful baby products. There are only a few things that I don't like about them. The first and foremost is that the products are expensive. It is hard to justify spending more money on the baby's products than I even spend on my own. The other is that they don't smell. That is good on the one hand because it means no added fragrances and chemicals, but then the baby does not get that sweet baby smell which I really like. However, those are two small issues. The benefit to these products is that they are so great for sensitive baby skin. You really cannot beat how well they work for babies who have troublesome skin issues. They are just the best for that. Plus, it is nice to know you are not exposing your baby to chemicals and dyes and such.

My daughter has very dry skin, and she is very very sensitive.  I have tried so many different lotions before I tried this one.  It got to the point where I couldn't really put lotion on her because everything broke her out from the chemicals and smells.  And then I got baby eczema cream and it made her so greasy.  I wanted to try this, but was initially turned off by the price tag.  I had decided to go with the eczema cream even though it cost the same, I thought it might work better on her very dry skin.  It was just so thick I couldn't use it.  I bought this recently and so far, I really like it a lot.  The only drawbacks are that even though it says fragrance free it has a weird smell to me but that might be because I am pregnant.  It is not greasy, and her skin seemed a lot less dry even after just two days of use.  She did not break out either.  I put it in her little hair too, and it didn't make it greasy, but it kept her baby mowhawk in place.  Will stick with this lotion.

Before my son was born a year ago, we bought a double pack of California Baby Wash and Lotion. We've been using the wash from the start, but we put the lotion aside because he didn't need it. It has sat in our medicine cabinet, until about a month ago. My son has started getting dry skin on his legs. I don't know if it's from the weather or what, but it's very dry and rough. I remembered we had this lotion and tried it. Wow, it made a big difference after just one application! The dry skin wasn't gone, but it did improve considerably. After a few days of using it, the dry skin stopped. Now I put it on every once in a while when I feel like it's coming back. I like that it uses natural ingredients and doesn't have any overpowering smell to it. (But not having scent added doesn't mean fragrance free. You still smell the natural ingredients, but those don't smell like crazy chemical perfumes.) I also like that the lotion is thinner--it goes on nicely without being too heavy. This lotion is kind of expensive, but a little goes a long way. We plan to keep using!

We bought this lotion for our daughter before she was born.  My husband and several of his relatives have sensitive skin and require fragrance-free soaps and lotions, so we thought we would be on the safe side with our daughter.  I also loved that it is natural and safe.  I didn't like what I was reading on other baby product labels, and wanted to stay away from lots of chemicals.  This lotion worked so well!  Our daughter was born in December, so we wanted to make sure we had plenty of on hand lotion to combat dry skin.  We still have lots of lotion left in the bottle we bought, even though we used it frequently.  A little bit of this stuff really goes a long way.  It was definitely more expensive than many other brands, but it was well worth the money in my opinion.  I loved having a natural, fragrance-free option that worked so well.  I don't intend to use any other kind of lotion after using this one.

I found this product while doing research after my son had a pretty severe reaction to another product line that I was using.  I wanted something with no fragrance and that had natural ingredients in it so that I wouldn't be exposing him to harmful chemicals.  I ordered this online and as soon as I started using it, my son's skin started to clear up.  The feel of the lotion is very light and rubs into the skin easily.  I liked that it didn't leave him feeling all sticky and goopy.  It really doesn't have much of a scent at all (which it shouldn't based on it's name) I did find that it was necessary to apply this multiple times a day, but it was well worth it.  He had pretty bad eczema for a while, and he hasn't had a problem with it since.  In fact, I liked this lotion so much that I started using it as my facial moisturizer and have been extremely pleased with it.  It costs less than what I was using and the ingredients are natural.
