Great Buy for the Money

I love this coffee. I bought Starbucks Sumatra for years before I discovered Cafe Bustelo. Bustelo cost about a third of Starbucks and delivers a comparable if not superior taste. It's full bodied and must be consumed near brewing time as the strength turns bitter after standing.

I used to drink other brands of coffee until I found this brand. My sister let me try this coffee and then I decided to buy this for me and my family. After drinking this brand of coffee the other brands seem too weak.

More Power to you!

Cafe Bustelo is the very best coffee on the market. We make it by the cup - rich, bold, incredible taste. Nothing better. It is a fine ground espresso that easily adapts to a drip maker for a stiff morning beverage. I came to Cafe Bustelo from bags of the barista blends and have never looked back. It is half the cost and more than twice the value. Try it...

Delicious and robust espresso

5

I have been drinking Cafe Bustelo for several years now and I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy robust dark roasts. I am not a coffee expert but I like what I like and I am quite picky about what I like and do not like. I find that many of the espressos are just too strong and often taste burnt, but Bustelo is neither of those things. I have used Cafe Bustelo to make both hot and iced coffee. It is just as delicious either way. This is a versatile coffee that will satisfy your need for a rich, aromatic blend that really gets you going for the day, or lifts your spirits and energy needed for the evening/night time. I have also found that Cafe Bustelo is reasonably priced for an espresso, especially compared to the other brands. My favorite way to drink Cafe Bustelo would have to be iced, with a good amount of regular sugar and a generous amount of chilled French vanilla creamer. I have also made hot lattes, iced lattes, and cappucinos with Bustelo. As I mentioned, it is versatile so it tastes great whatever way you make it.

good tasting expresso coffee

I enjoy drinking Cafe Bustelo because of its great aroma and taste. My mother loves Bustelo as well and I remember when I was growing up my mom and dad prepared their morning coffee and I observed that the aroma and taste brought everyone in the household closer together. We would all gather in the kitchen with the intention of savoring Bustelo.

Good quality at an inexpensive price.

Cafe Bustelo is one of the best lower priced coffees out there. For not much more than you'd pay for Maxwell House or Folgers you can buy a can of this and it tastes much more like the more expensive brands. It is a fairly dark roast, but not too dark for me, and I'm a light roast person. It's not extremely bitter like some of the other espressos I've tried. It's a good, inexpensive, every day coffee.

Cafe Bustelo is the best

My grandmother once bought El Pico because the store was out of Bustelo and we didn't like it at all.  She then went and purchased Bustelo once they had it back in stock and threw out the rest of the El Pico.  I have been drinking this coffee for about 25 years.  My grandmother has been drinking it even longer.  I loved sitting with my grandmother as she enjoyed her espresso and she made me my cafe latte which wasn't even popular back then, it was just espresso with boiled milk.  The flavor is deep and pure and smells wonderful when brewing. The taste isn't too bitter it is just a very strong espresso flavor that also tastes good as a cafe latte. The coffee is always consistent in taste every time and always seems fresh and strong. I use this in my Keurig since the k-cups can be very expensive. I put in the individual brew pod, 1 scoop and it comes out nice a flavorful.

One of the best coffees I've tasted. Seriously!

I absolutely cannot believe how many people I have served this coffee to that say, "Wow, I really like your coffee!" At home, it is the only coffee I drink. I usually just use a drip brew method, but a fine-filtered perculator works well too. My mother always said that you can tell how good a coffee is by how it smells (grinds or beans). I have stuck to that principal, but also that you need a good filter and clean, unchlorinated water. Having done that, Cafe Bustelo make a smooth cup of coffee with just the right amount of acidity. Stay away from the horrible, stale brands like Folgers, Maxwell House, etc. that grind and pack garbage for the non discerning palate. I just dare anyone to try this coffee and tell me I'm wrong.

**Cafe Bustelo expresso is not for the lighthearted coffee drinker! This coffee is full of gusty flavor and the aroma is simply put delicious.  Try adding hot milk and sugar and you will get a treat you'll never forget!**

I'll let you know right off....I started drinking Spanish coffee with milk when I was 3 years old, so I am no Johnny-come-lately-from-Seattle when it comes to coffee. I grew up drinking the really good stuff, *every day*, several times a day. And the good stuff canonly be one thing: Bustelo. Open up the bag and the aroma hits you, right off. Pure coffee. The way it was meant to be. Few things make me as happy as a cup of Spanish coffee with milk, made using the best supermarket coffee, bar none: Cafe Bustelo. Bustelo is the real deal: authentic Puerto Rican coffee. None of that hazelnut or vanilla nonsense. None of that Arabica gimmicky stuff. Just good, rich coffee that tastes as good as it smells. Great in a coffee press, or espresso machine, or made the traditional, Caribbean style: filtered through a muslin strainer. If some genie were to tell me that I could have one wish, that I could wish to do one thing with one person, living or dead, my wish would be this: to sit down and have a cup of Bustelo with my long-gone grandmother. Sheer bliss. Hard to find outside of NYC or Boston or MIami, but so very much worth the extra effort. My mother sends it to me by the boxful.
