Burt's Bees Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion definitely lives up to it's name. The scent is just so clean and fresh as well. What more could you ask with buttermilk and aloe as ingredients? Along with these, and a host of other pure and natural ingredients, this body lotion gives your skin the nourishing boost it needs. Easy to apply and massage into the skin, this lotion does not have the unfortunate "stickiness" factor that many other Burt's Bees lotions and creams have. Much like what you'd expect from a lotion, it glides on smoothly and disappears into the skin with its moisturizing agents when applied. I've never had any complaints about this product, and it never irritated my skin in any way either (living up to it's claim of "soothingly sensitive"). Scent Refreshing, clean, and pure. I purchased Burt's Bees Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion for my children to use during the dry winter months, but have ended up using it myself as well. One of the best things about this product in my opinion is how natural it is. While other lotions are made up of who-knows-what ingredients, Burt's Bees has a refreshing commitment to making their products using natural sources. I love that I can let my children use Burt's Bees products without worrying about what kinds of chemicals are going on their skin. Although this lotion is definitely more of a light lotion than a heavy cream, it still works quite well on dry skin. The other bonus of the light formula is that it covers easily, so you don't need to use very much lotion per application. The bottle has lasted us a long time as a result. This has a nice light, natural fragrance that is not overpowering or perfume-like.

I received this as a gift and as always, I am glad that the product is natural and the company does not test on animals. I had high hopes for this product but was slightly disappointed. The lotion is very runny so you have to be careful. When applied it is a bit oily so it has to be rubbed in pretty good to get rid of that feeling. I am not a huge fan of the scent (baby powder) so I only use it for my legs at night. I won't be purchasing this product again when I am done with this bottle. As for now, I don't notice a huge difference in my skin.

My friend thoughtfully bought me **Burt's Bees Soothingly Sensitive Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion** as a thank you gift because she knows how much I like natural body care products. While I totally appreciate the gift, this is not one Burt's Bees product I'll buy in the future. I do like that this product is 99% natural, paraben-free and not tested on animals, but I'm just not crazy about the scent. Scent I don't know about Aloe & Buttermilk, but to me, this lotion smells like baby powder. Maybe that's because this smells very similar to Burt's Bees Baby Bee Lotion, but it definitely has a slightly chalky, powdery scent. Absorption This does leave a little bit of residue behind after you rub it in, but it's not a bad feeling, nor is it greasy or slimy, it's just there. Other than that this absorbs pretty well. Effectiveness I can't attest to its "24-hour moisturization" claims because to be honest, I would use this on my legs so I wouldn't smell it throughout the day. It does leave my hands soft and feeling super moisturized. This product contains a ton of moisturizing, good-for-your-skin ingredients like: sunflower seed oil, shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, grape seed oil and aloe, so if you have super dry skin, this would be ideal for you. Plus, it doesn't contain gross, pore-clogging petroleum or other nasty chemicals.

I received this lotion in a Burt's Bees Grab Bag. Given that I have dry skin, it was winter, and this lotion is not a thick formula, I wasn't sure that it would work well for me, but I decided to go ahead and try it. I was pleasantly surprised - this lotion moisturizes well, and didn't leave my skin feeling the least bit dry, even in the winter. This lotion is 99.4% natural, has a fairly light consistency and a light fragrance - you won't have to worry about it "contrasting" with perfume, for example. It doesn't leave skin feeling greasy, and it didn't irritate my skin at all. I use this lotion once a day. The product was not tested on animals and the bottle is partially made from recycled materials.

I like to try Burt's Bees products because of the natural ingredients in them. I picked this one because I was looking for something that is extra moisturizing, especially for winter dry skin. This lotion is a very smooth product, thanks to the aloe and buttermilk combination. It goes on very evenly, and you don't have to spend a lot of time rubbing it in, thanks to it's fast absoprtion. It has a pleasant fragrance, too, with the lightweight smell of aloe, so it doesn't overpower you or announce your arrival to everyone. The only drawback I could find was that the moisturizing effects didn't seem to "last" as long as I had hoped, and I had to reapply it during the day. I have noticed that they have developed a thicker cream formula, so I will try that as well.

I have extremely sensitive skin, to the point that I will break out in hives very easily. I got this Burt's Bee lotion, because it was on sale. It is marvelous on my skin. It is nice to have a lotion that actually moisturizes my skin without making me break out in hives. It is a little pricy, but worth having a product that works. Also, my kids had terrible sunburns. I didn't have any aloe so I tried the Burt's Bee Buttermilk Aloe lotion and it worked well. The girls said it was soothing and they didn't peel like they would of normally. I recommend this product.
