After buying a Brother serger and falling in love with the brand and how well the machine was made, I started to look for other sewing machines made by them. That is when I found this embroidery and sewing machine. I already had a sewing machine, but not one that would embroider things,and that is something I really wanted to learn how to do so I went ahead and bought this machine. Wow, was I blown away with how well this machine works and handles not only little bitty fixes but it works great with the bigger projects and for all of my embroidery projects as well. I am amazed with how easy it was for me to get the feel of the machine and learn how to start using it on bags, blankets and shirts. I would by no means say that i have mastered it, but i have gotten a lot better a lot sooner than I thought I would, and I have this amazing Brother Embroidery and sewing machine. It has really amazed me how much I can get done with this machine, and has paid off ten fold since I purchased it. I am so gladto have found the Brother brand and especially found this machine. My grandma owns one as well and she is a master quilter and loves her's just as much as i love mine.

This sewing machine/ embroidery machine by Brother brand is an amazing machine at an amazing price. If I was to buy an embroidery machine and a sewing machine separate, it would have cost nearly twice as much and it would have taken up twice the space in my house. I have had this Brother embroidery machine/sewing machine for several years and I have not had any problems at all and the machine still works as though it was bought yesterday. My favorite thing about this sewing machine/embroidery machine is that the Brother brand has made so many different embroidery patterns for this machine and are still making more. This embroidery machine/sewing machine is definetly worth the price you pay. Stitch Performance The stitching that this machine does is incredible, strong, and perfect every time. I haven't had a stitch break yet, very strong indeed. Ease of Use This machine is a little bit complicated but is very easy to understand once you get the hang of it.

This embroidery/sewing machine is absolutely worth the price.  I love, love, love my machine.  My husband bought it for me when I was sick and he thought that I might not make it.  When I started to feel better, I began to use this machine almost everyday.  I find items on the internet where I can download into this machine.  I have a program that will do this and make designs bigger or smaller.  I used this at Christmas time to embroider characters on T-Shirts that corrolated to the afghans that I crocheted.  I also made scarves and hats, and placed pictures on them.  My husband wanted to see if I could change a design and place his truck on the back of his jacket.  This really worked and you can make from 2 inch designs to 10 inch designs and if you get lucky, possibly a little bigger.  I just know that when you use this, make sure you know how to thread it.  Also make sure you buy the thread that would work for this machine.  If you do not use the correct thread, like anything else, your sewing will not come out as well.  This machine does break the thread if you use a non Brother thread.  It can be done, you just have to be more careful and try not to walk too far away from it when it is working on its own.  I do love this machine and would only trade it for the Innovis 4000, but that is a little too far out of reach.  The only difference is the screen.  The 4000 is in color and the 1500 is in black and white.
