When I was looking at new sewing machines I just wanted a nice machine that I could make quilts on. I took my husband to the store and he saw this machine and he was mesmerized watching the embroidery part working. So he decided this was the one for me. I loved that it came preloaded with Disney characters, love them. I bought other Disney designs to use with the machine also. I do have trouble embroidering a thick towel so I don't do those anymore. It was fun making Christmas pillowcases and embroider the family members names on them. Now I have some grand babies I can't wait to embroider them some fun clothes with the Disney characters on them. Stitch Performance The stitches look and work great. There is a wide variety of stitches more than I will ever use. Ease of Use It takes a bit of figuring out the embroidery part of the machine. Plan on spending time with it or don't waste your money on it. Fabric Handling The feet help the fabric move smoothly through the machine. Versatility The machine is great, really versatile. You can sew clothes, quilt and embroider a multitude of items. Design I wish there was a way to change the bobbin thread without having to take the embroidery hoop out. Durability Keep it clean and I see this lasting the rest of my life. The automatic threader is not working as smoothly as it first did. The thread cutter doesn't always work now.

If you can find one of these machines-buy it! Yes, it has a 3.5 floppy but it is worth getting an extra drive for you computer and stock up on the disks. I have two and have had them for over 10 years. The stitch quality for sewing is equal to my Bernina but this Brother machine has the best and most consistent buttonholes I have ever sewn. The embroidery unit is very easy to change out and I have never had a problem with any part of the machine. The stitch speed can be slowed down and you can adjust the size on the screen panel. The touch screen is just as good as it was the day I got it. Easy to clean, no need to oil and it takes .pes formats. This is the first and last machine you will need for any project from heirloom to art quilts. Stitch Performance The most consistent buttonholes I have ever sewn. Embroidery stitch quality if as close to perfect as you can get--even on batiste. Ease of Use The screen walks you through everything and if you get lost--grab the manual. Very user friendly. Fabric Handling I've never have it bunch or put holes in anything. Versatility Heirloom to quilts. Lightweight fabric to leather--this machine does it. Durability In 10 years, other than routine cleaning I've never had anything break or misalign on this machine. It works!

I have owned 2 of these sewing and embroidery machines, and they are the BEST! I started a small embroidering business out of my home at one time, and this was the machine I used for 4 years. And that was 4 years of hard, heavy use. They stood up to all I could dish out with only a yearly service visit. I also sewed quite a bit with it, and it did beautifully. My sister in law is still using one of them to this day! Highly recommended to anyone who wants a good machine with very few issues. Stitch Performance Beautiful stitches. My wife and I bought our brother sewing machine with disney characters many years ago. We decided to buy because the brother ULT2003 disney sewing machine had multiply disk ports. Like the ease of 3.5 disk use. The hard drive seems to have enough space and came with lots of stored embriodery images. The machine has tons of stitch options with width and length adjustments. the machine as an auto cut when finished sewing. We love this feature as much as the auto threader. The display screen is big and you can enlarge items to see to detail of the stitch or design. We have sewed several quilts and blanks. I have use the machine to sew on pockets to tee shirts, repair jeans, and sewed on clear vinyl without any problems. The machine has auto threaded witch is wonderful and currently not working so it is going to the repair shop. I wish we would have taken classes to learn more about the machine or a instruction video would have been nice. Overall a nice machine.

My mother bought this for me and since I've had it I've loved every second. It's easy to use as well as relatively quiet. The hardest part is figuring out what project to start first!! I've used just about all the sewing feet, and am really impressed how easy it is to change them. If I don't know which foot to use, the stitch guide tells you right on screen which foot you should be using for that stitch. This is the first maching I've had with the automatic thread cutter and I don't know what I did without it! It makes my garments and projects look so much neater without all those threads to mend by hand. The embroidery part did take a few attempts to get right. It was mostly user error though. The on screen instructions are super easy to set up anything from names to characters, sizing and changing colors is super easy. One thing to be careful with is the bobbin thread needs to be wound really well or you get loops. That is easily solved by buying pre-wound bobbins though.

A Christmas gift that keeps on giving.  My husband bought this for me after trying a different embroidery machine with limited field.  He has never regretted this splurge for one moment.  I have made many a gift which translates into savings and even made my first granddaughter's christening bonnet something she will have to treasure all her life.  This is truly a gem - easy to use and worth it's weight in gold.  Quickly changes from sewing to embroidery, to buttonholes, to quilting, etc.  Doesn't take up much space.  Easy to use for both beginner and experienced seamstress.  I love the overcast function which virtually eliminates the need for a serger.  Additional supplies can be purchased making it even more versitile than original.  The disney built in embroidery designs are an added plus and a true treat for Disney fanatics of all ages.  This machine not only creates garments, it creates a lifetime of memories.

My Brother Pacesetter embroidery machine has 3 different size hoops, has  Disney cartoon people. I can design my own design on a floppy disk, or purchase the small disk. Makes great button holes. Really the only dislike I have of my machine is when the bobbin thread starts to get low, down just past the half way mark, the machine starts to remind me. I have never had it quit sewing after it starts to remind me. Usually I am able to finish what ever I am doing and still have thread on the bobbin. Really it is a good feature, I just think it starts to remind me sooner than I would  like for it to do so. This machine is really a great all purpose machine.
