Very Dissappointing

We purchased this grill for the large grilling surface, the appearance, it was a Brinkmann, and loved the storage drawer and pull out tank shelf. Purchased it several years ago. It has sat on our deck year round, always covered when not in use with a very expensive cover from The Cover Store. Design is the first issue. I take care of my things and this grill was not easy to care for. It had a drip pan that slides out very easily and was easy to clean . The problem is that it sits above the drawer and it is not capable of catching all the drippings due to it being small in dimension from the drawer, so the excess goes in the drawer all over the clean grilling tools. The design of the burners is also very poor. The way it dissipates the grease is right onto the flame, making an inferno and very difficult to keep your meat etc from charring. When I called Brinkmann they recognized the design flaw but wanted to charge me nearly $100 to retrofit the grill. The grill had looked new when the cover was removed. I kept up with the exterior with stainless cleaner. We suffered through the flare ups and just knew that the grill could NOT be left unattended unless you wanted burnt offerings. But about a year ago I began noticing rust. I called the company....again no support, no warranty. The door has fallen off, the wheels are about to, and it looks awful. It will make it's final farewell to the curb this week. Meanwhile our friends having invested in a new fangdango outside kitchen have given us their Weber Genesis that is the same age as our Brinkmann. It sat on their deck, uncovered, and the only maintainence it received was occasionally cleaning the grates and the grease pan. I tool some stainless cleaner to it and a little spit shine...it looks awesome...AND you can leave the grill unattended to get another round of brewskies. WOW so much better.

VERY DISSAPPOINTING

We purchased the Brinkmann Pro Series 4675 several years ago because of the large grilling surface, side burner, side sink, and being the neat freak I am, I loved the drawer for storage and pull out tray for cleaning the drippings. To top it off it was a Brinkmann and it looked really nice. We bought an expensive cover from The Cover Store, put it up on our deck and it has never been without a cover when not in use. Well we had problems from the get go, but looking back I think we were enamored with the Brinkmann name and the looks of it. My husband was constitently complaining the flame flare ups were due to poor design. The grease from a steak for instance went directly on to the flame. I do believe they have since changed this design, but they offered nothing to me for accountability of poor design and offered to sell me the newer better part version for nearly $100. The grease tray does pull out from the back quite easily for quick cleaning, BUT here is the second design flaw. The tray does not completely cover my so loved drawer and guess where the grease deposits in addition to the tray? Yes the drawer! How frustrating. So basically the drawer is useless because you have to wash everything in the drawer constantly. Finally RUST. Remember I said our beautiful grill is always covered? Well it has rust everywhere. The wheels are falling off, and one of the doors has fallen off. I called Brinkmann. Again they will sell me parts, but they are not going to stand behind their product. Very very disappointing all the way around. Our friends are putting in a super fangdango outdoor kitchen and gave us their Weber Genesis gas grill that was purchased around the same time we bought Brinkmann. It has sat on their deck, has never been covered, and the exterior has not been cleaned like I had cleaned our Brinkmann. It looks and operates fabulously!!!! I don't think it looks quite as nice, the grill surface isn't nearly as large, but we are so much happier. Would not recommend the 4675 for every single reason.

If this was electric...

The grill itself is great. It looks nice, feels great, and works perfectly. There is plenty of space available to cook for multiple people and multiple foods at the same time. The only disadvantage to this is that it is a gas grill. I prefer electric, but thats an opinion.

I love our Brinkmann ProSeries 4675 gas grill

I love the Brinkmann ProSeries 4675 gas grill that we purchased.  We purchased the grill four years ago from Menards.  The one touch electronic burners light every time. The pull out tray for the propane tank makes exchanges much easier. We use the grill on average three times per week throughout the summer months. We have had one issue with this grill. The grill comes with a rotisserie and the spit rod was a two piece design that threaded together in the middle. The weight of the food on the spit rod as it turned wore on the threads and eventually stripped the threads. I called the Brinkman company and they sent out a one piece design at no charge. The 12,000 BTU side burner is great for cooking corn or warming beans, whatever you want to cook so the house stays cooler and does not smell of prepared food. There is 875 square inches of cooking space over six porcelain coated cast iron burners. The porcelain coated warming rack is great for warming buns or placing food that is done to remain warm while other food remains cooking. We have never used the covered ice bucket, but it does make a great table to set your food while cooking. The full width storage drawer and baskets on each door offer plenty of storage in this grill. We keep our grill outside covered and its stainless steel finish still looks great. The casters have commercial grade locks which I feel is important with kids around. We have had many cookouts and would highly recommend this grill. I wish you many happy barbecues and this grill will not disappoint you.

Good for the money

We received this grill as a gift 4 years ago and I have been pretty happy with it so far. I use the grill quite a lot, even in the winter (as long as it isn't too windy), so I would say it has been used above what an average user would. I didn't have any probably with the grill until about a year ago. It was then that I noticed that the grates were starting to wear-out and the burner plates were eroding. I think there is another part that is also wearing out, but I'm not sure what it is called (sorry about that)! We looked into the cost to replace the parts, and it is basically the same price as buying another grill. We are currently still using the grill and we aren't having any problems. We'll keep using it until something happens and we can't use it anymore. I think for the price of the grill and the amount that we use it, the grill has done very well. I would probably buy a Brinkmann again, but I wouldn't expect it to last a very long time.

This Brinkman grill fell apart.

The Brinkman Pro Series 4675 Grill has a stainless steel exterior.  It has a rortisserie burner in addition to 6 regular burners in the grill.  There is also a side table/stainless steel ice bucket assembly on one side and a side burner on the other.  In addition to this there is a two door storage compartment below the grill.  The 4675 grill has electronic ignition and a temperature gauge. I would not recommend this Brinkman grill for the following reasons, although I guess it just could have been the lemon of the bunch.  I have owned much less expensive grills which were maintained in the same manner which did not rust out and have ignition problems which this unit has had in a much shorter time.  This particular Brinkman grill was not inexpensive.  This Brinkman grill was purchased new and kept covered when not in use.   Before the grill was a six months old we had to replace the rotisserie burner and the bracket that sits below the burners  .  The bracket rusted and broke and the screen on the rotisserie burner melted after the second use. This grills was cleaned with stainless steel cleaner on the outside and the grates and complete interior was properly cleaned each time the grill was used, as well as greased according to manufacture's instructions .    After two years of use, about the only thing that has not fallen apart, been replaced or needs to be replaced is the grill's stainless steel body assembly.  Let's start from the top down.  The electronic Ignition to the six burners does not work, the grill must be lit manually.  As previous stated the rotisserie burner screen melted after the second use.  The three cooking grills have flaked away leaving metal flakes on food if meats are not put on grilling pans instead of cooking directly on the grills.  There are heat distribution plates which cover the burners and they have rusted away to practically nothing. The burners themselves have rusted extremely badly and are losing bits and pieces.  On the whole the entire interior of the grill rusted out prematurely.  The side burner, side table/ice bucket assembly have not presented any problems.  The storage compartment offers adequate space.  The overall look of the grill is substantial and appealing.

Great grill, but can't find parts!

4

We bought this grill about 6 years ago and it has held up fairly well on the outside. We keep it covered year round and this has helped immensely. Finding a cover that fit was a little difficult since it is a large grill, but thats another review! We love the tool drawer that makes it easy to stoor the longer grill tools, and the slide-out for the propane tank makes it very convenient. But several parts in the grill are starting to rust or corrode and we cannot find the parts we need, at least inexpensive enough. The parts can be ordered directly from the company, but they are very expensive. The grates started to go about 1 1/2 ago, they are rusting/corroding in spots and we cannot get new grates to fit this oversized grill. Also the burner plates are corroding as well due to the grease, and these parts can only be gotten from the company. In reading other reviews from other sites, apparently this is an ongoing problem with Brinkmann parts, and they will not do anything about it. We hope to make this last as long as we can since it was a great grill to start with!
