Every Kitchen Needs A Box!

Brillo has been around for absolutely ages and reasonably so - it just works! Every single time, no matter what I have stuck on, they work. These deceptively simple little steel wool pads with soap are powerful little scrubbers. These little scrubbers are excellent at getting off anything from cooked on tomato sauce to burned rice to the oil marks on cookie sheets. They just power their way through anything and leave sparkling clean metal in their wake. Of course, these are not to be used on ceramic or nonstick cookware. Or glass. These are strictly for use on stainless steel, aluminum, etc. I've used these for years, as did my mother before me, and presumably her mother before her. They just plain work. I also love that these come with the soap built in which means that every bit of the pad has soap on it which is perfect for getting into corners and other tight spots. You get both the scrubbing power of the steel wool with the soap all in one. If you're not already a Brillo fan you need to become one! Every kitchen should have a box of Brillo under the sink.

Tough and affordable cleaners!

I LOVE Brillo steel wool soap pads! They are very budget-friendly! I recently burnt milk in a good pot and tried soaking it for hours to make clean up easier. Mistake! The milk was still burnt in the bottom of the pot. I tried Ajax and the residue did not even budge. I remembered that I had recently bought some Brillo pads. I wish I had remembered that earlier! It took me maybe half a minute to remove all of the residue! I barely had to scrub! The pot looked amazing and the best part was that my Brillo pad was still in great shape and ready to be used again! I highly recommend using Brillo pads for stuck on food and grime! I was amazed at how quickly and easily it cut through the burnt milk residue! I will definitely be keeping these in stock!

Removes tough stuff!

Brillo works very well and is an item I use sometimes. It is not for non-stick surfaces and is very abrasive so you must use caution when you clean with it. Of course I have use it on the typical casserole dishes, oven grates, BBQ grill items, etc. But its helpful in the bathroom too. I have used brillo to help remove hard water spots on a shower door, in the tiolet bowl and around some of the facets. But use caution when cleaning with it becuase it will scratch! Know ahead of time if the surface you are cleaning can handle it.

Brillo Steel Wool Pads saved items I thought were trash!

Wow, am I new to Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads! I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm in my early 30's and just recently tried them for the first time. I never really knew what they were for (obviously scrubbing), but I didn't know if I needed them or would use them. I ended up buying a box because they were inexpensive and I figured they would come in handy one day. I recently baked dinner in a casserole dish that had some burnt-on gunk stuck on it. I tried to get if off with my regular kitchen scrubber/sponge, but the stuff wouldn't budge, so that's when I remembered about the box of **Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads** I had under my kitchen sink. I was happy to see the burnt-on stuff come off with a little effort, but that's not the exciting part of this story! While using it for my casserole dish, I wondered if it could clean my nasty electric burner plates that lay under the coiled heating element on my stove top. I was going to throw them in the trash and buy new ones because they had burnt crud on them from pasta water overflowing and many other things that haven't come off from either hand-washing or washing in the dishwasher. I started scrubbing one and was SO EXCITED to see shiny, clean metal peeking through! I got three of them looking almost brand-new and one in *much* better shape than it was in. The only two things I didn't like about these steel wool pads were 1) the soap. It felt really slimy on my hands and was hard to get off even after wiping my hands on paper towels, and 2) every now and then I get poked from the tiny steel wool fibers in the pad. Nothing serious, but those are my only problems with this product. Those issues don't affect my love for this product though. I am a believer in **Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads**! Now that I know what they can do, I'll make sure to have some on hand at all times!

Not only do these leave splinters but they harm cookware too

1

I have used many cleaning products in my time and brillo is one the only that I really dislike. Yes they get the job done however, they leave small metal splinters in your fingers and also damage you cookware by scratching the surfaces. Not a good choice if you ask me. We pay alot for cookware these days, especially good cookware, and who wants to ruin it by using a metal brillo scrubbing pad. They are also only good for one use norally because they fall apart if you have to scrub vigorously.

In the world of non-stick everything you would think you would never need to use Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads but sometimes non-stick coating get stripped off by kids who do not understand that nothing metal is to be used with these pans. Pans are expensive to replace so it is easier just to buy some Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads, and cheaper, to clean up the mess that is now stuck on your pans. One pad may only last through only one sink full of pans but even if you do not use it all it is not good to reuse a pad that had already been used before as they start to look like they are rusting and fall apart real easy after being used once. Not ideal but better than just plain steel wool that will cut into your fingers, Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads only leave some minor scrapes. If the kids make the mess then they are the ones cleaning it up and I want those no longer non-stick pans clean and that usually takes using Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads to get off all the stuck on and burnt on gunk. Maybe I'll get my wife some new pans one day but for now I will just make the kids clean the old ones with Brillo Steel Wool Soap Pads.

Not just for pots & pans

There are many uses for Brillo steel wool soap pads around your home.  They have always done a great job of removing built up burned on stains on my pots and pans but I have found a few other useful things for them.  You can clean metal patio chairs & tables with them.  You can clean your terra cotta flower pots with them to remove built up stains.  They do an amazing job of shiny up old wind chimes around your yard.  Use them to remove built up food and burned on stuff off your grill.   Another use is cleaning out the bottom of your garbage cans.  They remove the gunk plus freshen them up.  They are great for cleaning off your garden tools, you will be amazed at the way they shine after you scrub them with these pads.  They also can be used to clean the dirt & grime built up on the grooves of your golf clubs.  They are great for cleaning your stainless steel kitchen sinks and I use them to clean out my ovens in the kitchen.
