Very Expensive

2

Brika.com is a store similar to Etsy that offers handmade novelty items. But some of the prices are so outlandish that they are not worth the money at all. Simply slapping the word "artisan" onto a product doesn't triple its value. They do have nice products (and many of them are better quality than ones that are mass produced). But the increase in price far outweighs the increase in value. Ease of Use The site is a little difficult to navigate, although I was able to find what I was looking for (handmade belts) after a little bit of searching. Product Selection On a positive side, they do have a wide variety of custom-made products. Product Pricing On the negative side, these products cost far more than they should. You can go to a local craft show and find similar products for far less money. Customer Service Customer service was helpful in answering some questions regarding shipping rates and shipping times, especially considering the extra time that can be required around Christmas.

Very Unique Website

3

I love shopping on websites that have unique and tasteful products available. Brika.com is one of my favorites. The website features "makers" that tell their story and sell their products on the website. I really enjoy looking through and reading some of their stories and how they started creating these unique items. I am very creative also and love it when websites are out of the ordinary. I have bought several items on Brika.com. I feel good supporting these individuals' dreams and inspiring them to keep doing what they are doing. I signed up for the Brika.com email list and received twenty percent off my first order. The ordering process is quick and easy. The only downside is that it's so hard for me to choose what products to buy because I want them all! I have been tempted to fill out an application to be a member, but am still on the fence about it. I have such a busy family life, I don't think I could fit in my passion of selling homemade candles. This is a great website to support individuals and buy unique goods. If you're more of a maker than a buyer, you just fill out an application on the website and wait to hear back. I recommend this website to anyone who loves creative gifts.

A very crafty website!

This website is really cool and useful. You can find a ton of unique, handcrafted items made from real people and crafters, not mass produced factories. You can really tell that items on this site are made by people with a lot of pride and passion for their work, which is very inspiring and makes me want to purchase from them again and again. Knowing that my dollar is going to someplace like this makes it easier to shop here. You get to read about and know some of the artisans and their products in detail, which is neat. It makes the item so much more meaningful and personal to you when you receive it in the mail, after knowing the back story of the item and where it came from. This is what matters most in shopping and purchasing handmade items , passion and quality, and BRIKA definitely offers up plenty of both those things. Anytime I need something special for someone else, or even to treat myself, I always peruse this website before any other.

Unique Gifts For All

4

I recently wanted to find someone a special and unique gift for a new baby. I looked at a lot of websites and found something I thought was unique on this site. Brika has gifts for all occasions and people on your list. Brika has a nicely designed website and they carry all sorts of items such as baby gifts, paper goods, accessories and jewelry and so much more. They have many unique gift ideas and the order process is simple and easy. I love the site, it is nice to look at and browse even if you do not purchase anything. It is easy to navigate and shipping is free if you spend over 75.00. The items that I ordered arrived quickly and very nicely packaged. I love the item I bought which was a cloud mobile. Many of the items are quite expensive but they do have a lot that are reasonably priced as well. It is worth taking a look at this website. It is quite lovely.

I really wanted to like this store - it has handmade goods that are great for one of a kind gifts, and it's founded and run by women, who are under-represented in the business world. But the prices were just too high, even for a New York City native like me. An example: handmade paper gift tags - made from lined paper (well made; it looks exactly like the kind you had in grade school with the blue lines and a vertical red stripe on the left), size is 2 by 3 inches, with a piece of twine through a punched hole in the corner to tie the tag on. For 5 tags, the price is $16 plus $7.95 for shipping. So, $22 for 5 small gift cards is just too much for me, especially since the only artisanal part of this is the homemade paper. And since the paper looked almost exactly like the store-bought type, why not just use ready made paper? The returns policy was also off-putting; returns were only for damaged or defective items, not if you just didn't like it. Plus, you have to submit a picture of the damaged or defective item and wait to see if your return will be approved; if it is, the refund will be a store credit. So if you have a comfortable disposable income, this might be a place to look for unique items.
