Although it says it is discontinued we have a Bright Starts portable swing. My daughter does enjoy this swing very much. She will only sit in it for about 10 minutes tops but she loves it for that amount of time. Putting it together was extremly simple and only took me about ten minutes to assemble. I really love the design of this swing. The toy bar that is on this swing is actually reachable for my daughter and catches her attention. I also placed another toy in the middle for her to bat at. The swing speed is great. I have never had it past the medium setting. Anything else would probably be too fast for her. One of the best features on this swing is the three point harness, which I LOVE. I feel confident putting her in the swing and know that she is safe. It also has three different size settings for the straps. The seat is soft and comfy as well. Also it folds up nicely for storage. Even though I never fold it up because it's used daily. The only thing that I wish this swing had was music, but she is interested in everything else that is going on around her I'm sure music wouldn't change how I feel about the swing. All in all we love it. Ease of Use Easy to assemble, use and store! Safety Three point harness on the swing ensures baby's safety.

We decided to get this travel swing over the full size swing because it was cheaper, smaller and basically had the same functions.  This swing has about 6 different speeds for the swing and it has music that plays along with it.  It's small, so it's easy to move around the house depending on where we are; we can bring baby along with us!  We also loaded up the trunk with luggage for a weekend trip and brought the swing too.  It's easy to take apart/put together and puzzle in-between all the luggage.  The only thing I dont' like is the sound quality of the music.  It seems kind of high-pitched and loud for how close a baby is sitting next to it.  Other than that, the swing has been really great to have around.  It's reclined back enough that you can put a small baby  (not yet learned neck/head control) in it and he/she will be safe and enjoy it!  Overall, a great product.  The big swing would be nice, but the small swing is so easy and convenient that I prefer it.

We have a Bright Starts swing, and although it is not the portable one, but the full size one, we love it. The assembly was fairly straight forward, although it did take me several hours by myself to put all the various pieces together. Once assembled, it is very, very difficult to move to a different location in your house as it is quite a wide load - unless you disassemble the supporting legs, but then it's top heavy and still awkward. Still, if you put it in one place, there is the advantage of being able to rotate the swing so that it swings back and forth or side to side. It has been in use for over five months and we're still on the same set of batteries. The two musical melodies are fairly pleasing and there is a volume adjustment button. It works well in swinging mode and the tray is a great addition to the swing. Our child might not be within the weight limit much longer, but it has helped sooth her to sleep at times.

the bright starts travel swing is by far one of my favorite baby items i have yet..  i have three childrren and my first two still sleep with me.  well my oldest who is 7 has to sleep in the same room and my 3 yr old still sleeps with me.  so believe me i was growing quite tired of this.  so once my 5 month old grew out of the basinet i decided to try this swing.  it reclined so i thought that that would be a good choice.  and ever since shes been sleeping in it every single night now for about two months.  i love this item because like i said it reclines and it also has a bar that is removable where toys hang down.  which of course any baby would love.  i didnt like at first how far back it went, it didnt look safe, but it was perfectly fine.  it has two settings down and up basically.  and then it has six speeds.  i usually keep it on the second which seems good enough.  and it plays music too.  but what i do really love about it is that it has the timer option on it.  so when i put my child asleep i set it.  it can be set at 15, 30 and 45 minutes.  i keep it on the 45 when i first put her to sleep and put on the music. the music also has two volumes and the problem with that is that they both are loud.  thats the only problem i have with it is that the lowest volume seems a little loud to me but its just fine for her so i guess thats good.  so i would definitly recommend this item to anyone.  it also folds up very nicely and fits great in the back seat of the car or the trunk.

Our family has had a big, full sized, baby swing for our three older children, but once they got bigger they played on it and broke it. This time around I wanted something smaller, more compact and easier to move, so I looked into the "travel swings."   I liked this one best because the colors weren't as obnoxiously loud or vibrant as others I had looked at. The fabric on this swing is very soft, the swing was relatively easy to assemble; I like the music, and the timer (it will automatically shut off if you choose, that saves on batteries.) And I like the different speed settings, there are 6 different speeds. It is small and lightweight so it is easy to move from room to room. The buckle is hidden under a flap of fabric, that is secured with velcro, so the baby won't get his/her fingers caught or get pinched; very smart. We have been pleased with this swing and would reccomend it to others.
