We used the Bright Starts Bouncer with my daughter from the time we brought her home until she outgrew it at about six months old.  It is on the smaller end of the bouncer seats that are available.  This was the only drawback I could find with this product.  My daughter loved batting at the dangling mirror and toys and was always happy to hang out in this great seat and observe the world around her.  She even gave us her first giggles in this seat!  The seat is small and compact enough that it was easy to grab and take upstairs and down with one hand.  We used it all over the house. The fabric of the seat is easily removed for washing and it doesn't drain batteries quickly.  While my daughter was never very engaged by the music, the vibrations did wonders to soothe her when she was fussy. The Bright Starts Bouncing Buddies Bouncer is the best of all worlds: perfectly comfortable hammock type seat, bright engaging colors and fits into the tightest of budgets!

We received a gift card to a store in our home town from my brother and sister-in-law as a gift for our third child.  I can not believe that I had two children before I had a bouncer!  I was skeptical as to whether or not we would really use this, but we did!  I love this bouncer.  It has vibrating capabilities, which we didn't use very often.  Our son didn't care for it.  We'll find out shortly here once I put batteries back in it whether or not our daugher (child #4) will like it.  It's nice to have that feature as it is usually calming to the baby.  It is easy to strap baby into it.  Our daughter is only 5 weeks old, so she still slumps in it, so it's really great for kids that are a bit older, but she likes being in there when Daddy bounces it with his foot while he sits in a chair.  She will fall asleep pretty quickly! The toys are removeable, as is the bar they are on which is GREAT!  Our son sometimes uses it as a chair (he's 1 1/2 now), and that toy bar would get in the way.  It's nice to have a bouncer without a gazillion toys attached to it.  I like simple.  It is also easy to remove the fabrice and wash.  I just did this a few days ago.  I like things that are easy to clean like that!  I'd recommend this to anyone.  It was easy to put together, easy to remove the toy bar, easy to remove the fabric to wash it, all good in my eyes!

I wanted a bouncer for my son so I can take a shower, clean the house, etc and so that he can be occupied. This bouncer is on the smaller side, so by the time my son hit 4 months, he couldn't fit in it anymore. The print is cute, consisting of frogs and ducks. There is a hanging toy that has a mirror and a circular rattle. The mirror is nice because my son always liked to look in it, and he loved to hear the sound of the rattle shaking. The good thing was the seat vibrated, which he really liked. It would calm him whenever he was fussy, and made him go to sleep. The cons are you can only use it a few months if your baby is big, because then it becomes too small. Thus, it is a waste of money if you are looking for something long term. Once my child got big, the vibrating wasn't as powerful as it was when he was younger. I wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends, basically because I feel like it was useful in the early months, but not in the later months. (And he's so hyper now, that I wish it fit him so I could get stuff done!)

I have noticed that baby gear has become more and more complicated, where you too can buy the bouncy seat with cup holder and coffee bar, that slices, dices, and makes julienne fries.  This bouncy seat, thankfully, is not any of these, it is simply a seat that you can put your child in for a few minutes with a bit of tinny music to entertain him so that you can do something like make dinner.  Neither of my munchkins has absolutely loved the bouncy seat - they both loved the activity gym, and the first loved her exersaucer, but they both do fine in the bouncy seat.  It is inexpensive and easily portable - both are excellent features!  One downside I am noticing now that I have a baby and a toddler is that the box thing that makes the music and the vibrations is not toddler-proof and frequently comes off.  This isn't a particularly big deal, as the baby doesn't much love the vibrating feature, and if I want music, I put on a CD, but is worth mentioning.  I still use it a fair bit and will continue to for awhile.

I was given this bouncer as a gift for my newborn and haven't found it to be very useful. It doesn't exactly "bounce" rather it gently vibrates, which doesn't seem to sooth our newborn at all. The music is very annoying and not soothing, and the infant doesn't seem at all impressed by the toy bar. To top it off, it seems that this bouncer is not very sturdy and would be easy to tip over. Just the few times I put the baby in the bouncer, he cries immediately and won't stop crying until we take him out of the bouncer. I was hoping that it was something I could use to get a little reprieve from having to constantly hold him, but that isn't the case with this bouncer. I have found that this bouncer is approximately the same price online as the bright starts ingenuity bouncer, which actually bounces. We got that bouncer free and really enjoy it--it actually bounces in a rhythm like mom does and it plays really soothing music and nature sounds.

I received this as a gift and was excited to put it together so my baby son could try it out. It was a little difficult to put together and it took me and my husband to do it! As it came together I had to admit I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the fabric as it felt rough to the touch, but I am hoping that with use it won't be as stiff and would soften up like the other swing items that we were gifted. We haven't tried the vibration option and we are hoping that it is strong enough to appease our son. We have vibration options on other baby items like our bassinet and cradle, that aren't strong enough that my heavy son can't even feel it! I checked the prices and I think it's fairly reasonable for this item seeing as our baby probably won't use it that much and will soon be growing out of it.  If I had an option to buy it for myself I probably wouldn't put it at the top of my list.

My son didnt really like this chair until he was about five months old. It is a great chair that has given him quite a bit of entertainment. I like this chair because it does vibrate, even though we dont use this feature alot and I like the fact that the toys can be changed out.  My only dislikes with the chair is the bar at the bottom of the seat. We have to keep a blanket under my sons legs to keep him from banging his heels and ankles on the steel bar and vibrator box

When our son was first born our friends lent us their Bright Stars bouncy seat.  We loved it so much that we went out and bought our own.  It's great because it has cute little songs that play and you can control the volume a little bit by either switching it to loud or soft.  It also has a soothing vibration, even though my son doesn't seem to care if it's on or off.  The best part about the vibration is that after a long while it turns off automatically--this is good because often I'll pick my son up and completely forget to turn it off but the battery doesn't drain because it turns off after a while--same with the music, although it turns off sooner than the vibration does.  I like the toys especially because they can be removed, so I usually attach them to our son's car seat when we go out.  He just loves reaching for them.  I usually keep the bouncy seat in our kitchen so I can keep an eye on him while I'm cooking/cleaning.  I'm not sure what I would do without it.
