My 6 year old is very tall for her age.  Her legs are like a giraffe!  She grew out of her 16" bike & needed something bigger.  I fell in love with this particular one because it has an old fashioned retro design to it.  They recommend it for 8 years old and up, but my daughter had no trouble riding it.  It is light blue with white graphics on it.  It has a zipper pouch on the front to hold her things that she picks up along the way, and 1 brake on the sidebar.  The seat is adjustable and comfortable.  It seems a little larger than normal, maybe because of the retro design.  She gets alot of compliments from the other kids because it ihas a different look.  Even the adults seem to notice her on it and compliment her.
