I am disappointed in my Bosch Washing Machine

3

When my Kenmore washer broke my husband and I researched several front loading washers.  The Bosch had great reviews and we own other Bosch appliances and decided it would be a good decision to purchase the Bosch front loader.  I examined the machine in the store and was happy with the options it had, especially the time delay.  We have a septic system and it is important not to use too much water at once so the septic has time to "catch up".  So, I can put the laundry in and time the machine to go on at a time when I am not home or in the middle of the night.  After getting the machine home and using it a few times, I was disappointed with the capacity size.  There are 5 people in my family and my kids play sports so I am consitently doing laundry.  I find that I cannot put as many clothes in the washer as I did my old front loader and I cannot fit even a full size comforter in it.  Also, when you do a load of socks, they get stuck in the rubber seal and do not get washed.  Furthermore, there are times when the barrel doesn't spin properly and doesn't drain all the water so your laundry is too wet to put in the dryer and need to put the spin cycle on a 2nd time.

The Bosh Front load washer is the best investment I've made, when its come to house hold appliances.  I would over all rate this a four. I would reccomend this to everyone. Thata if they're looking to buy new appliances.

Really hate my  Bosch front loader.  Mold, mildew, rubber gasket problems, not to mention that a 25 minute cycle can sometimes take excess of 90 minutes. Perhaps I have a lemon, or design problem?  The people are Bosch are nasty too.

Reliable sturdy and built for the long haul

We bought our Bosch washer because it seemed the sturdiest and the best engineered.  It has been fabulous.  I have never had any of the problems that have become common to many front loaders.  My machine is just as fresh and effective as the day it was installed and does an awesome job keeping my clothes clean.  I am also using far less laundry detergent -- about a third of what I used with my top loader -- so I am saving money which I love!

i had a great experience with my bosch washing machine, i have two boys who definitely make having a great washer like bosch front loader a necessity, i have owned mine for about a year now and i couldnt imagine having any other. I love it, takes out all the stains, I know its the machine because I've been using the same detergent for centuries and until I got my Bosch the clothes have never been cleaner, I recommend it to moms esspecially

Bosh Front load washers are the best they clean your clothes exceptionaly well the only thing I don't care for is how long it takes to do a load of laundry but absolutely love how clean my clothes come out and I lvoe the extra hot water cycle.

bosch front loading washing machine is inadequate

The bosch front loading washing machine does not function as I expected. Small items such as socks fall into the door and do not stay on the wash. It sometimes does not spin well and it has te required amount in the tub.

This washing machine works really well for me. I have owned it for two years and I have had no trouble with it at all. I wash two to three loads a day (I have a disabled child who wets his bed through two diapers every night) and use the built in heater and sanitary function every day.  Having the heater and the sanitary function is wonderful! Heating the water to temperature really helps clean my motorcyclists' muddy clothing and is also great for grass stains. I don't have to use bleach or a lot of washing powder. The sanitary cycle takes about 2 hours to complete, but is essential for us with my child's bed wetting, also great for towels or soiled underwear. There no need to have white towels and use bleach, I can wash my colored towels and know that they are sterilized. There are numerous choices for cycles and I have used every one of them at one time or another. They all work well, and my clothes come out clean.  The only thing I miss on this machine is a spin only cycle. Occasionally the machine doesn't spin out the water - usually when I mix widely varying weights and textures of bedding and blankets - it would be nice to have a spin only cycle to get the water out. I get around this by running the shortest (25 min) cycle and this usually does the trick. If you have never used a front loader:   1. The wash cycles take much longer than those of  top loading machines. This may take a while to get used to.  2. You need to buy the right detergents for front loaders. Low sudsing or you will have bubbles everywhere - there are a lot of different ones on the market now and they are widely available.   Overall this machine does a wonderful job and is very energy efficient, it uses very little water and will pay for itself in a couple of years.

**Bosch WAS24460UC Front Load Washer.  I had to return the unit back to the store.  It would not spin or drain the water.  I wished that it had worked.  It looked nice in my house.  So I got a MayTag and it works great.**
