Love this bottle

I absolutely LOVE this bottle for my little one. I love the fact of it being made of glass as I am assured that it's completely safe for her to use while she is drinking milk. I really am fascinated with the shape of the nipple and how much similar it is to a mother's nipple. The milk flowing through it is at a great pace, it's just right. The design of the bottle as well is a plus, it's very appealing and overall is a pleasant bottle to use for little ones development. I 100% would recommend this to everyone!

BornFree Baby Bottles - Great Alternative to Plastic

5

We have been transitioning from plastic to glass for a couple of years at our house, and baby bottles are very high on that priority list. Even though my little one nursed exclusively, it is nice to have bottles on hand just in case your date or errand goes a little long. However, I did not want to use plastic bottles again after learning about the dangers of plastics, especially with foods and drinks that are heated. BornFree's Baby Bottles were the perfect solution for me. The couple of times that we needed to use them, they worked very well and my little guy had no issues drinking from them. These bottles are made of thick glass and are very sturdy. BornFree even sells silicone sleeves that fit over the bottle to help prevent breakage, and provide an easier grip. There are a several different silicone top choices, such as slow flow and fast flow, so you can find just what you need for your child's age and needs. These are easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I love these bottles!

Best BPA free bottle

5

This is the best BPA free baby bottle out there. Doesn't leak, heats evenly in the microwave, and dishwasher safe. I dropped some bottles accidentally, and they took it very well, did not even scratch a bit. They are sturdy, and most important eco-friendly. However, the only downside is that, these bottles are on the heavier side, and your baby will need some more time go lift and handle their own bottles.

BornFree Glass Bottles are better than their plastic version.

When my now three year old son was a baby, we used BornFree BPA-Free Plastic Baby Bottles. I still have them, so I use them for my newborn baby, but the words on the bottle that are painted on have scratched off, which makes it hard to read the levels on the side of the bottle. My mom bought me some of their bottles that are made of glass and have no painted on numbers, so I was excited to see how they worked out - I love them! Knock on wood, but I have yet to drop one of these glass bottles, so I have no idea how durable they are. With that being said, I have absolutely no complaints and love them. I especially like that the measurement levels on the side are not painted on! Child's Comfort My son likes these bottles and has never had a problem drinking from them. Leak Prevention As long as you use the inner plastic pieces, these bottles do not leak at all! Ease of Cleaning These bottles are probably more difficult to assemble than some other brands. Not that it's hard, there's just an extra step involved. To assemble, you have to attach the two valve pieces together and press on top of the bottle, then pull the nipple through the ring. I have the smaller, newborn bottles which hold 5 ounces, but they do have have a bigger glass bottle available. When they're dirty, I just throw them in the dishwasher and and don't have to worry about chemicals from plastic leaching into my baby's formula. Durability BornFree Glass Baby Bottles only have the "BornFree" logo painted on. The ounces on the side of the bottle are etched in glass, so they will never scratch off! Just like BPA-Free Plastic BornFree bottles, these have a two-piece valve system that helps reduce air. I have no idea how it works, but it seems to help.

Great glass bottle

I am a breastfeeding momma. However, we did want to have a bottle on hand for a time that we may need it. We knew we did not want to use plastic because of the issues with heating plastic and it releasing toxins so the bornfree glass bottle was perfect. We really like the 5oz bottle and the fact that it has a wide mouth. Since it is a wide bottle it fits perfect in our bottle warmer and takes no time to heat. Heating my breastmilk in a glass bottle makes me feel very safe about giving it to my Son. Also, all of the parts that come with this bottle are high quality and have lasted a long time. The bottle is easy to hold and makes a feeding very simple and easy. My Son has done super using this bottle and we will continue to use bornfree products. I highly recommend this bottle to other mothers who do not want to use plastic. We loved this bottle so much that we bought a second one to have one had as well.

love these glass bottles

I really like these born free glass bottles and trust me I've purchased MANY bottles to test. The reason I finally decided on born free is that one, it's glass, second- although there are many parts, it's easier to wash than other bottles, and three- my kids took to this nipple. Although many bottles out there are now plastic and bpa free etc., I'm still not a hundred percent convinced there isn't something else in the plastic that is bad for my kids. And another reason I chose glass is that my kids like their milk warmed and with these glass bottles I can heat the bottle in the microwave instead of heating it up in a separate glass (saves on the washing!). Be sure if you do this, swish the milk around afterwards so the heat is transferred all around equally- and test the milk before you serve it. The little vent system is pretty tricky to wash because there's a tiny whole that needs to brushed. I believe born free does sell a specific brush to wash the vent but I've actually found the muchkin bottle brush that comes with a tiny brush is small enough to wash it (it's much cheaper than buying those small brushes from born free). I also bought the 9 oz bottles and we haven't exprienced any bottle throwing from our toddler. Overall this a great bottle and I would reccommend it to anyone interested in trying out glass bottles. Oh and there's no need to use those bottle protectors, the bottle never gets THAT hot where you would need one of those sleeves.

Best brand I ever used

5

A baby girl I used to babysit used these bottles.  After having 4 kids myself, I was very impressed with this brand.  I used everything with my kids- Dr Brown, playtex, etc., this by far was my favorite.  Easy to clean, and easy to use.  No bubbles, no messy leaks.  I wish I had been aware of it when my kids were babies.

Excellent, durable bottle!

I breastfed my son exclusively while on maternity leave, but I returned to my full time job when he was ten weeks old and needed to bottle feed him at that time.  I pumped at work, and sent along the expressed milk to daycare.  I had started using the playtex dropins system thinking that would be such a handy set up; disposable liners that I could just pump directly into & then transfer right to his bottles.  The system is great; however, it was causing my sweet little boy to be very, very gassy because of too much air getting in while he drank.  My mom had heard about the Born Free bottles from a friend whose grandson had also been very gassy before using them.  She bought me one to try, and I was hooked.  They were great at controlling the flow of milk so my son did not take in too much, and his gassy issue went away.  I used these bottles exclusively while I continued to pump, and I am happy to say that they are very durable, even with a little boy who likes to throw them after he's done drinking!

superior glass bottle

When I was pregnant with my firstborn, I knew I wanted glass bottles for occasional bottle use (I planned to breastfeed), so I registered for the BornFree glass bottle.  I was originally worried about it chipping and not being aware of it, but the bottle is very well-made and I haven't had any trouble with that.  BornFree also sells brightly colored plastic sleeves if you are worried about it breaking or if your child holds their bottle themselves.  I have not purchased any sleeves yet.  The bottle has a complex vent system to prevent gas and colic, so there are several pieces to wash, but they can go in the dishwasher.  The bottle and all its parts seem to come out very clean when either handwashed or in the dishwasher.  I love that because of the glass, the bottle always looks clean and clear (as opposed to the BornFree BPA-free plastic bottles that look yellowy).  BornFree also sells different nipples for various ages, to control the flow.  We have been very happy with this bottle!

Best glass bottles on the market, IMO.

5

I bought my son one of these because I had always wanted a glass bottle for my baby and I must say that I am very pleased with these bottles. One bottle is quite expensive but if you buy packs directly from Born Free, it's not as expensive. The venting system really helped my son to fend off gas and his acid reflux was helped because of the slower flow to the nipple. I have dropped this bottle on concrete, tile, and even metal and it hasn't cracked or broken. I have heard many people complain about them breaking if you put them in a warmer, but remember, any sort of glass that has a drastic temp change too fast WILL break!
