We have tried many litters for two cats. We clean the litter box out once to twice daily. Have used this litter for one month. It is great!! All have some dust. I like that it is totally easy to clean the clumps. All the other litters were sticky and stuck to scoop when trying to remove the clumps in the back where the cats urinate. Not once has this litter gotten sticky. One swoop with scooper and it's clean. No odor. The cats track some of it like all the others. Price is great. We love this product. Have tried over ten other brands. For the price, you can't beat this product.

This is one of the lower cost scoopable cat litters on the market but works fine. Moisture Absorption It's not the best for absorption but it's not bad at all. Depending on how many cats you have determines a lot. We have three so I clean the box twice a day. It does tend to get a bit like clay if it goes long without a change. Ease of Cleaning It's a bit dusty for me but if you're careful and don't stir up the dust it's fine. I generally buy the forty pound box and tipping it will tend to make duct while pouring. The plastic 24 pound container is much easier to use and less dust. Odor Control Since it doesn't have a scent, it doesn't mask odor. It seems to control odors OK. I like to put baking soda in this as it seems to help quite a bit and is much cheaper than buying a name brand with baking soda in it and paying twice as much. Ease of Use It's really not any different than most other cat litter on the market. As i stated before, the plastic container is much easier to use than the 40 pound box.

I am so happy that I switched to Boots and Barkley Scoopable Cat Litter. It was on sale and I have a cartwheel for it giving me an extra percentage off and thought well we should just try it because I had not found a litter I was completely happy with yet. I have that it is in an easy to pour container with a lid to seal it back up. They smell is great and the litter actually works. It was well worth my money and I will continue to use it. Moisture Absorption The Boots and Barkley Scoopable Cat Litter is amazing with its absorption. I never have the issue like some other litters where the kitties pee is getting stuck in the back of the litter box when you scoop it. We scoop our litter twice a day because we have two cats and everything is always so nicely balled up and easy to scoop out. Ease of Cleaning I love the fact that with this litter I literally use my scooper to sift through all the litter and it gets everything out in the first shot. We have used many other litters that say they are scoopable and when you go to scoop them they unclump or they are in teeny tiny chunks instead of easy scoopable balls. Odor Control You wouldn't even know we had cats if you didn't see them physically. We never smell our cat litter even when we have forgotten to scoop it for a day or two. Ease of Use We have two female cats so odor is always an issue. Since switching to the Boots and Barkley brand I have not smelled my cats. Our friends come over and have no clue we have cats until they actually see them because they never smell them.

I'm not sure why Boots and Barkley Scoopable Cat Litter doesn't get better reviews; I've been using it for my four cats for the past year, and have not had any issues. In fact, my cats seem to prefer the cheaper Boots and Barkley cat litter over Tidy Cats and Arm & Hammer. Obviously, this is not a "premium" cat litter, but it works just fine. It clumps well, and doesn't leave a lot of dust behind. My cats prefer the smaller granules without the fancy blue granules that are found in more expensive cat litter. The litter itself doesn't have much of a smell if you are looking for more of a deodorizer, but not all cats like a strong smelling cat litter. The only down side to this is that the dirty litter may start to smell a little bit quicker; I just make sure to change it every day or every other day. Overall, if you are looking for a basic cat litter that is low cost, but better than the super cheap non-clumping kind, I would give Boots and Barkley a try. Moisture Absorption Clumps fine. Ease of Cleaning May get a little bit sticky because the granules are somewhat fine in texture. Odor Control Could be better, could be worse. Ease of Use I like the plastic bottle that you can pour from rather than the bigger plastic container.

I have always been a fan of getting the best deal on cat litter, as I don't really like to just throw money away, and that's literally what you are doing with it. When I visited target and saw that they made their own cat litter, I decided to would try it since I thought the walmart store brand was alright to use in a pinch. I opened it to see what it looked like and it looks very comparable to the other major leading brands of scoopable cat litter. When I got it home, I cleaned out the box to prepare for the new litter. When I poured it in I almost choked to death! This dust was INSANE! My cats even ran away from it. I also noticed that whenever they would come to cover up their messes, there was almost a cloud of dust that encompassed them. They would walk away sneezing for several minutes after. I would not recommend this litter, you are better off spending a little bit more so your animals are comfortable.

We used this Boots and Barkley Cat Liter for almost 4 years. When we purchased our last 2 bottles, the container had been changed. Nothing was said about the product being changed. When I poured it into the liter box, the dust came up FOUR FEET!! When the cat digs in it, it has awful dust. It chokes me and the cat up. I hate this new product. Will take back what I have and will never buy it again unless I am advised that it changed back to the old product.

I bragged about this litter to all my cat friends because there was little dust, now the new formula has too much dust and I've been made a liar. I'm looking for my receipt to return the 2nd container I had purchased and will never buy this again.

The product was great until they pulled a fast one and changed the quality of the litter. They got rid of their large plastic containers, and the litter particles are now thicker. My cats don't like this modification and either do I - will not be purchasing it again. I'm sure that other consumers will come to the same conclusion.

This new version of Boots and Barkley is HORRIBLE! For 3 years I was a loyal costumer to Boots and Barkley.I tried all the brands and B&B became my favorite litter--This past spring they must have changed the the formula.......it is so dusty it leaves a film on my walls---the odor control is not what is use to be. With in a few uses/hours of changing litter---it smells sooo bad. PLUS it has a new sent that smells like diapers.....DIRTY diapers. What a shame.....now I have to find a different brand that can compare to the formal Boots and Barkley litter! Moisture Absorption Great at absortion.....but dusty and filmy. Walls and area need constant wiping because it kicks up so much dust. Ease of Cleaning Nice and dry.....but I feel like I just be wearing an Asbestos mask when cleaning....DUST!!! Odor Control WORST. EVER. and...the scent is worse then the actual cat smell! Ease of Use It has doubled if not tripled on how often I need to clean out the boxes...walls and floor area. The lack of odor control means I am chaning the litter more frequently.....and I have to clean the area around the boxes more often because of the dust the film it leaves. Pain in the ass.

ummm...so, i am 99.9% sure that this product had fly eggs -->larvae (a.k.a., yes, maggots) in it. my husband bought a box of it recently so we could try it out. at first, it was just poor, i.e. very dusty, not that great at immediate odor control, sticky on my cats paws, as some of the other reviews had suggested. then, a few days in, as i was scooping out dirty litter, i noticed a handful of maggots around the littler box area. so disgusting. nothing about the environment had changed other than the litter brand, we got rid of all the boots and barkley litter immediate by throwing it in the dumpster outside. fast forward a week or two and the place is swarming with flies like i have never seen before. sorry neighbors! i dont know what else it could have been other then the litter that caused this situation, as i have neever seen maggots before or since this litter came into our lives. so watch out, consumers!!!
