take it everywhere you go!

I took this product on a cruise as my sister's recommendation and it saved me. This product is great because you don't have to take it before you get motion sick, you can take it once you are feeling sick and it still works. I had it in my travel bag and one night on the cruise began to feel the rocking of the boat and the motion sickness set in. Instead of ruining my night, I took one of these tiny pills, sat for a few minutes and I was all set for the rest of the evening. My brother in law takes it every time he's in the car with my father. It doesn't have the best taste but I'll say it's better than a pepto and since the pill is so small, the flavor goes away quickly. It's a great staple to have when travelling, just in case.

The Most Versatile Antihistamine Out There!

The active ingredient of Bonine is meclizine hydrochloride. Also sold as a generic and known as both Antivert (RX) and Dramamine Less Drowsy. Meclizine is an antihistamine. It works for dizziness, as a sleep aid, to relieve nausea, helps with anxiety attacks, etc. It is a very versatile product, and it works very well.

Bonine Is The Greatest for Car Sickness

5

When I was little I used to get car sick all the time. Driving in the car for fifteen minutes would cause me to get sick. I remember my mom packing a bowl and a washcloth for every trip outside of our town. When my daughter started getting car sick, I knew exactly how she felt. Sometimes driving from our house into daycare she would get sick. When we were leaving on a extended car trip, nine hours, I knew I had to do something or everyone would be misearble during the trip. I talked with the pharmacist at our local pharmacy and he suggested Bonine. the version I bought was the KIDS version, not adult. He was able to assist me with the dosage information. I had to break the tablet into four pieces for my daughters size. I know the taste isn't great. I usually have to give her something to drink after she chews it, but she now calls it her tummy medicine. She knows chewing it will help her feel better on long car rides.

Can't travel without it! My miracle pill!

I get sick when flying, even if the plane isn't bumpy. I mean, I fly up in the air, everyone is enjoying their beverage... and I'm down! I have always had this problem, even as a child. There was nothing I could do to escape the eventual barf-bag...until Bonine. Now, I have tried Dramamehine, and sometimes it worked. But sometimes it didn't. And to be honest? Flying is stressful enough. I don't need one more thing to worry about. Hence Bonine. i do have a few issues with Bonine, but they are not enough to keep me from buying again and again. My big issue? I can't take Bonine on an empty stomach, and I do not always want to eat before an early morning flight. But if I don't eat something (even a small Chewy bar) I am a lost cause. Also, I have found that on long international flights this works only for the first 24hours (yes, it does lasts 24 hours). Even if I take a second pill (for the next 24 hours) it doesn't seem to work. In other words, I have trouble taking a second dose and it working as well as the first dose. This is why I gave it 4/5 stars. Nonetheless, this stuff works well for me. It's non-drowsy, and easy to take (although when I have the choice I prefer to swallow hole instead of chewing the pill). Works for me! No more barf bags! :)

Bonine works well, and is fun to say!

First, let me say that I'm not precisely sure how you pronounce the name of this product, but my particular take led to no small number of chuckles when I told the people I work with about taking it.  I have always been especially prone to motion sickness, often resulting in some especially unfortunate episodes wherein I've parted ways with any number of meals.  If I don't drive, I know that I have a thirty minute window of time before I get exceedingly ill.  Not so with Bonine.  Not only am I able to ride without getting sick, but I am able to engage in activities while riding that used to make me exponentially sicker.  Reading or playing portable gaming systems is an option when I take this medication, making extended trips much less daunting than in the past.  I highly recommend taking these an hour or so before getting underway.  NOTE: Avoid using with alcohol.  It has a slightly inebriating effect for me, so I also have to avoid using it if I know I'll be in a hotel hot tub at the end of the trip.

As a chronic sufferer of motion sickness I have tried almost every product out there.  Most make you drowsy or do not work at all.  This product does not make me drowsy and actually seems to work well.  I can actually sit in the backseat of the car without throwing up.  It's fantastic.  I have has similar results with candied ginger, however the taste is so awful that I am happy to have found a medication I can take instead.  It seems to last long, for most of the day.  I would recommend this to my patients, friends, family, and anyone else who suffers from motion sickness.  I have tried sea bands, dramamine, ginger, scopalamine patches, and I think this is the best product so far.  I don't forsee any other product working better with less side effects than this one any time soon.  The only problem is the taste.  It sort of tastes like chewable peptobismol without as much flavor.  However, it isn't necessarily a bad taste just weird.

Has never failed me!

The best thing about Bonine is that there is a chewable that my kids can easily take and tastes OK. I have kids who won't swallow pills and this has been a problem in the past. But they can chew a Bonine tablet just fine and it relieves their car sickness. I don't car sick, but I was worried about getting sea sick on my first cruise, so I got some Bonine and took it with me. When I started to feel queasy, I chewed one and felt much better very soon. On a subsequent cruise, when the waters were really rough, many around us were getting sick, but I was fine and so were my kids, after taking the Bonine. I have this on hand at home all the time now and always take it with us on vacations. I've given it to other people I've travelled with as well, and they have become big fans of Bonine as well. It's effective, portable, chewable, and tastes tolerable :) I would recommended this for anyone who gets motion sickness. Don't let it stop you from having fun!

Bonine Motion Sickness Raspberry Flavored Chewable Tablets

Okay, these really work and they don't make me drowsy. I used to use Dramamine but they made me feel sleepy. So I decided to give Bonine a try and so glad I did. They taste great not chalky or bitter and they have alittle aftertaste which is not nasty tasting. They are convenient and one covers you for 24 hours. I've been on two cruises where I used one pill every day and had no problems with the motion of the boat and one night we had very rough seas, didn't faze me one bit. I use it on long car trips and now I can actually read a book or magazine without getting sick which I never could do before Bonine.  I don't know that the reading in cars part will work for everyone but as for the motion sickness part, these really do what they say they do. I never travel without them.

works great, no drowsiness

Bonine Motion Sickness Protection works great to protect against motion sickness and diziness.  And, unlike Dramamine, it did not make me drowsy at all.  I was able to get fast, effective relief from motion sickness and drowsiness without having to sleep for the rest of the day. If you are going on a cruise, the drowsiness can make a big difference.  You do not want to ruin your cruise by being motion sick and dizzy the entire time.  However, a cruise is just as ruined if your too drowsy to enjoy it or you sleep through the entire thing.  But, both of these problems are solved with Bonine Motion Sickness Protection. I've used Bonine for motion sickness - i.e., a cruise, riding in a car, etc.  But I've also used the product when I've felt dizzy and nauseous due to a virus or some other ailment.  Either way, it works in both situations!  I'll always have Bonine Motion Sickness Protection handy in my medicine cabinet!

Relief can come in a little pill!

4

I found myself earlier this year suffering from different illnesses. One seemed to pile up on the other and eventually I began to have dizziness on a daily basis. Had it so bad one morning the doctor thought I may have been having a stroke. After numerous tests they come to the conclusion the dizziness was either the effects of having shingles or chronic sinus disease. I was placed on a little pill that can be picked up over the counter and works wonders. Relief can come in a little pill and it is called Bonine, which is Meclizine Hydrochloride, which is for motion sickness. Dramamine in much cheaper form. This is not a product just for riding in cars, on airplanes, or boats. I suggest someone go to the doctor and find out why they are dizzy first, but if they need an over the counter medication this is a product that works. Dizziness is not something that is comfortable, but quick relief is necessary and this is the product for it. Bonine comes in a small flavored chewable tablet. I got raspberry flavored. One a day is all that is needed. Comes in a package with 16 tablets and is reasonably priced. Can get a little pricey for an over the counter medication if have to be taken over a longer period of time. One downside to this medication is if used over a long period of time it can cause fatigue and drowsiness. I would recommend this to anyone who needs relief from dizziness after checking with their doctor first.
