It works fine but I wish it had different patterns.

I like to see that my cats are entertained and not bored. Sometimes, I work long hours or get busy with things and they might feel neglected if I forget to play with them. I bought this from a mail order catalog because my cats love a red LED chase game, and I wanted it to entertain them. I have a little keychain pointer, and I can run the dot along the floor and up the door, and they chase it and leap at it up the door as high as they can jump, and never get tired of it. This Frolicat device rasters the dot back and forth and up and down by changing the position of a mirror, and it runs 15 minutes at a time. At first, the cats were fascinated and chased the dot, but the mirror moving makes a raspy sound they can hear, and they look at the source of the sound rather than at the red dot. The dot is not in itself interactive because it changes position randomly and not in response to them pawing it like I do when I play with them myself. The cats also just prefer when I use a noiseless hand held light source and add the human touch by moving it in ways that the Frolicat does not, such as sudden jumps when they paw at it, or onto the back of another cat and then up the door.. All in all, I am better just playing with the cats myself.

My cats do like laser pointers and my one cat will race around the room and jump half-way up the wall to get at it, so I thought that they would love this toy and I guess I thought it would be less effort for me. When you turn this on, it does create a laser light that darts around the room in kind of a random manner and at first the cats did chase it, but I think that fairly quickly they realize that the laser was not running from them and so after a short amount of time, they became board. You can turn the automatic darting motion off and just use it manually like a kind of awkward laser pointer and that works better for me. My cats really love this when I have the light hide under the coffee table and then dart out as thought the light is trying to escape from the cats. The other problem I had is that this toy seemed to use up batteries pretty quickly and because of that you really can't just have it run for a long time on its own.

I love this laser. I don't need to hold onto it which makes it so much more convenient and easier for me. My cats love it and can play whenever they want. They go crazy over it. I just recently got a kitten and he can't stop playing with this laser. It's not one of those lasers that you have to keep holding onto to make it work. For this laser to work you just have to press a button and the laser works on its own automatically. I have bought this toy for my moms cats and she thanks me everyday because its needed. If you have cats get this toy because it won't only make you happy but it will also make your cats happy. Even though it's a cat toy, my dogs love it too. They chase after the laser just as much as my cats do. Its fun for them and also a great way for my cats and dogs to exercise. It's also great in price. I wouldn't ask for a better gift. I recommend this laser toy. If you have pets make sure you have one of these. It will keep your cats occupied and happy. You also don't need those small annoying batteries anymore cause all you need for this laser is four double A batteries.

My cats love to play with the laser pointer, they'll run back and forth as long as you will play with them. Knowing that when I saw the Bolt FroliCat Interactive Laser Pet Toy on sale I decided to pick one up for them. I thought that they would love a change of pace with the different patterns of the Bolt FroliCat and even better I could set it for fifteen minutes then just sit back and watch my cats have fun. The first time I put the Bolt FroliCat toy down and turned it on the cats did seem to enjoy it but soon started to lose interest in play with it. So I waited a week and tried again and a couple of my cats really got into playing with it but two of them kept on walking right up to the Bolt FroliCat and sticking their faces right in front of where the laser comes out of. I tried to discourage this because laser pointer and eyes are a big no no but they wouldn't stop obsessing over it. Needless to say I haven't gotten it out of the box since and we are back to the hand held laser pointer. This toy might be great for some cat but be sure to always supervise you cats when playing with this toy.

My cats and my dogs love chasing lasers and while I love playing with them, sometimes I'm just too lazy to wave a laser around for thirty minutes. I picked up this toy and it was intended for my cats, since it is notoriously known that cats love lasers, but it turns out my dogs love this toy even more! All you need to do it adjust the laser, and set it on the table and turn it on. My pets love chasing the lasers and so far there have been no problems with the product at all. I normally just set it on the floor, but you should probably st this toy down in an open space because you do not want your dog or cat to be knocking things over by accident when they are having fun chasing the laser around! I think this toy also makes a great present for people who have pets because I feel most people are familiar with cat nip and squeaky toys be forget that lasers can be tons of fun too! This toy does make a bit of a swishy sound when it moves and my dog got scared, so just a warning!

This toy is good for some cats but not all. High energy cats that like laser lights will appreciate it and so will you if you are too busy to play everyday. Battery life is long and it shuts itself off after about 20 minutes. 3 of our 5 cats like this toy.

I have two bengles and they really enjoy the new Frolicat toys. The laser has a good sporadic movement and keeps the cats interested. Sometimes, however, they realize where the beam is coming from and in these circumstances have knocked the toy over, making it not able to be used.

I have a 4-year-old cat who does not want to play alone. My daughter sent me this for Christmas and he is totally fascinated by it. I turn off all the lights and the show begins. If he cannot find the spot he will walk right up to machine and stick his head in it which is so surprising to me because it makes a noise and he is 100% coward.
