I traveled 10 hours to get home for a family wedding...only to be stricken with a terrible flu feeling in my stomach. My aunt offered me some of her Oscillococcinum and said I would feel better within the hour. I didn't really believe her, but what did I have to lose. The product is great tasting and easy to take. I only had 12 hours to feel better or I'd have to miss the wedding. Well, I actually felt better within the hour like she said. Chest Congestion Relief I haven't used this product to relieve chest congestion relief, so it's hard to give it a rating. I give it a 7 because it works for so many of my other symptoms that I default to think that its working on chest congestion relief, too. Relief of Aches & Pains Oscillococcinum is a great reliever of aches and pains. It seems to settle my stomach, my aching head, and relaxes my muscles. I have co-workers that thank me when I have it available in my desk at work and they are sore, feeling aching and need something. I have converted many friends to this product because I am a true believer in it's effectiveness. Cough Suppression It is hard to rate this because I haven't had to experience this. I use this because of stomach issues, aches and pains, and general flu symptoms. It is extremely effective for all my issues.

I take oscillococcinum at the onset of any flu-like syndrome or virus-like symptoms. I have followed this protocol for years and can firmly state there is a real, empirical difference in the length and duration of any virus when the medicine is used properly. This means that it must be taken very early in the onset of symptoms. Once you are already sick for a couple of days, the window of opportunity to interrupt the virus is long passed. This is true of all antivirals, even prescription ones. Congestion Relief Understand that the medicine is not a decongestant; it is a homeopathic remedy designed to stimulate the immune system at the onset of a virus in order to shorten the virus' duration or intensity. It won't target a specific symptom, but rather the virus as a whole. When taken early in the life of a virus, i.e., as soon as you feel run down or poorly, it can help stop the virus before it becomes full blown. Chest Congestion Relief It's not really designed to relieve congestion once that symptom is present. Relief of Aches & Pains Again, when taken early in the viral syndrome, this remedy works very impressively to interrupt aches and pains as well as fever and malaise. I have been using Boiron Oschillococcinum Natural Flu Relief for many years now- I started way before most people knew what it was or where to get it! It is very unusual in nature, but it does work! When you find yourself being hit with flu-like symptoms, you simply pop open a vial of tiny little balls and pour them under your tongue where they melt and absorb into your body. The result- no flu! I got it on good authority from a doctor who told me that you only need a tiny capful of balls in the vial to do the same thing, and it really is true. It goes a lot longer that way! Congestion Relief Although this does not work for when you already have been hit hard with the flu, it works when you are at the beginning stages, relieving slight congestion when it first starts. Chest Congestion Relief This product does not work when you already are in severe throes of the flu and have chest congestion. You have to take it BEFORE it hits hard at the beginning for it to work. Don't look at this the same way you do a pharma like Alka-Seltzer or Nyquil. You will not get that happy floaty feeling right before it makes you drop off to sleep, only to keep you drugged for six hours while it sort of works, leaving you feeling hung over the next day. This homeopathic allows your body to heal itself, which is the way it should be. At the first signs of the flu, I start taking it every two hours, dumping the vial of teeny little pills under my tongue and letting them dissolve. In as little as overnight I feel human again, and not the least bit groggy from being drugged. It takes a few days to get over it, but isn't it better to let your body fight off disease than letting pharma treat only the symptoms? Its incredible how much better for you this is than those over the counter flu meds, and so much cheaper in the long run. Plus if it doesn't work, it won't hurt you, not even a little bit. Can Tylenol say that? Nope. A few notes: Don't keep it in a medicine cabinet in the bathroom as the steam and heat will mess with the effectiveness. Don't take it until about 15 minutes before or after eating or drinking anything other than water. Don't take it in room that has strong odors - yeah, I know that sounds weird, but it's how homeopathics work. No menthol or other strong smells, please. Please don't expect miracles. You will not instantly become better once you take it. You will start to feel better with rest and fluid, taking a natural approach to healing. Oh, and don't take a bunch of other stuff with it. Let it do it's job. If you have to take a pain reliever because of sinus pressure, go with aspirin. It's the closest you can get to all natural.

I found this one of the better homeopathic remedies on the market that you can buy over the counter without any homeopathic experience or any knowledge on how to choose a remedy. It's easy to use and really works if given at the right time during your illness. No homeopathic education necessary. If, however, you find that this particular product doesn't work for you, then read up on how to use homeopathy and go through both a repertory and materia medica and select the best BOIRON remedy that matches your symptoms. I find that most people don't have to do that, however. Just take the Oscillococcinum as described (according to the directions on the box) and your flu symptoms should gradually go away as your body heals itself.

My family swears by this. It's expensive but if you take it as soon as you feel possible flu symptoms (aches, pains, nausea), you will not get the flu. Never once have I meet anyone that has taken it as flu symptoms arise and then gotten the flu. It could be that we are all mistaking flu symptoms for something else, but we've tried it so many times it doesn't seem like it could always be chance. It's known to be effective just as a placebo, but if a placebo worksis somehow working, I'll take it. I'm generally pretty skeptical about most homeopathic remedies and vitamins, but the effects of this are always helpful, whether it's in our heads or not. Also, it tastes like candy so that's a plus.

This product works ! I recommend everyone keep it in their medicine cabinet at the onset of Flu and Cold season . Relief of Aches & Pains When I was first introduced to Oscillococcinum I admit I was skeptical . I had read and heard some antidotal information about homeopathic medicines , but I really didn't take them seriously . Then about ten years ago at a family gathering , We all were starting to show the same flu like symptoms ( body aches , chills , fatigue ) , when my sister-in law recommended we take some Oscilloccinum that she had . I nervously took a tablet and told her I would let her know . I felt better within hours and immediately sent my husband to the pharmacy for more . We now keep this on hand and take it at the first sign of Flu and cold symptoms .

I can't say enough good stuff about this product! Every time I feel symptoms coming on this is my go to stuff, especially if I feel like I'm getting a sore throat. Oscillococcinum is better at stopping colds before they actually take hold of you, so take it at the first sign of any symptoms! Congestion Relief I don't really use it for congestion relief, more so for sore throats, so I'm not really sure. Chest Congestion Relief Again, I use it more for sore throats. Relief of Aches & Pains It definitely makes me feel better. Cough Suppression Oscillo soothes my throat and stops it from being scratchy. I'm not sure how it would work if you were coughing from congestions, but it will definitely work for a dry cough.
