I found Blick when searching for some art supplies online. As soon as I saw that I could order paints and paintbrushes in bulk I was sold. The prices are good, and I even found some certain things that I couldn't find at local art and craft supply stores in the town where I live. While it is easier most of the time to just pop out to the art store to pick up what I need, I do use Blick to order the harder to find stuff and have from time to time to order stuff from the clearance selection. I think its a great website for any artist to have in their favorites and will be using them again in the future. Ease of Use It was easy to find what I was looking for, as well as stuff that I had given up finding. Product Selection I was surprised at how good their product selection is. Product Pricing Pricing was good. I dont have any complaints about it. Customer Service Customer service was helpful and answered my questions. Shipping and Returns Shipping was great and when I had to exchange something, it was easy.

Even though there is a Dick Blick / Bick Art Materials store in my area I use the online website to purchase things that are not available in the stores, for special orders and for items that they have on sale. When I started doing origami I began looking online for sites that sold origami paper; they don't have a huge selection but they do have some of the best prices on it. I like that they have larger packs of paper and not the ones that only have 12 or 24 sheets. I make a lot of mistakes so I need to have a lot of paper on hand when I start over. The site can be a little hard to navigate if you are new to it but everything that you need to use to get around the site can be found through the search engine. I have never had to call them to ask them about any of the things that they sell nor have I had to return anything so I can't comment on that aspect of their online service but their email contact from order to delivery kept me informed of where my order was and when it would be delivered. The site sells everything that the regular retail stores have but in most cases you will be about to find more colors or other sizes of items. I have ordered everything from markers to grid-line poster board that I couldn't find locally. Everything I have ordered has been perfectly packaged and they even went the extra mile and put the markers in plastic bags and taped them in case they leaked so the other items wouldn't be damaged. The poster board was packaged between thick pieces of cardboard and labeled with "Do Not Bend" stickers. Some of the things they sell are a little more expensive than other items but if you know the average selling price of things you should be able to tell when you are getting a good deal and when you need to keep shopping around.

In my area, there is a lack of art and craft stores, so if one needs such products, online is the only way to get them. I came across Blicks via a suggestion from an artist friend. When I attended art classes at the local college, Blicks is where I ordered my supplies. Previously I'd been using some art catalogs and they were overpriced and unusually when I ordered, the product would be sold out and I'd get a call. I have never had a problem with the Blick Catalog, website, or the phone ordering. They've always had exactly what I have needed and the shipping was reasonable and fast. Ease of Use The website is no different than the standard art supply website. I've heard a few people find it hard to navigate but I've had no issues with it. Product Selection Has everything I need at a great price. I was looking for a very specific paint color. Blicks had it. Product Pricing Some of the prices can be quite steep. It depends on the particular brand that you purchase. In their sales and clearance section you can frequently find some amazing deals. Customer Service I have never had to up their customer service, so that says a lot about their products. Their contact info is on their website in plain sight. Shipping and Returns I have only had one issue with the shipping, the box was banged up, but that is more of the post office's fault their theirs. The shipping prices were reasonable and quick.

I have personally shopped and used the Blick Art Materials website off and on over the last few years and have always been pretty impressed with this company. I have a daughter who is a wonderful artist. I have purchased most of her art supplies and have been really happy with the products. This website has very good quality products as far as paints go and sketch pads and many other things. This Blick art materials website has some of the best prices I have found at any art store online. What more could I ask for great prices and great quality. They have a wonderful selection of art supplies also. Their website is very easy to navigate and use. I have never had a problem finding exactly what I needed. I was looking for a particular product so I called there customer service and the nice lady walked me through the website and help me find exactly what I was looking for. I had a very good experience with this site. A lot of times you can find online coupons to get free shipping or discount coupons.

Blick Art Materials is great for hunting down art supplies, but there isn't much that makes it stand out. It houses many different art materials such as sketchpads, paint, brushes, pencils, etc. If you can name it you can most likely find it on their website. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but it's definitely a shop that I use from time to time. Ease of Use Their website seems complex at first, but it is quite easy to navigate once you just use it. There is a search bar, an index, and a departments list. They all work according to what you want, but sometimes the search engine won't work too well. Also I find it to be a bit too much. I believe the site is good, but it can be much better. Product Selection I find there to be tons of items to choose from. If you look at the index, there are just so many categories under it that are very promising. Product Pricing Nothing bad, nothing great. The items are priced reasonably, but there isn't anything cheap or anything they seem to sell lower than anyone else. I've made purchases from Blick's website on a number of occasions because I have artists in the family. Blick runs good deals during the holiday season and I've made some great finds for my adult family members. The kids are harder to shop for on Blick's website. But I can recommend them for adult gifting without reservations. Ease of Use The site had been very easy to navigate all of the times I've used it. Product Selection Blick has a great selection of tools at reasonable prices for both serious artists and passionate amateurs. I do wish they had some more moderately priced selections geared towards kids though. Product Pricing The pricing is excellent for tools to gift my adult family members. I've purchased pencil kits, journals and large sketch pads and they've all been well-priced and well-received. However, I have hunted high and low on that site for children's equipment, and it seems there's only the really expensive kits or the cheap little things good only for stocking stuffers, and nothing in between. I haven't ordered from them too often since I do like to go to some nearby stores anytime that I need an arrt supply, but in terms of ordering online they have a great selection and reasonable prices. Paint for example, they have a ton of colors some of which you might not be able to find in a store. Same goes for brushes, take your pick, they probably have it including some hard to find ones. There is a discount for buying items in bulk as well which is nice for anyone teaching or needing a bunch of something. Ease of Use The site is pretty nice and easy to navigate. Simple looking design. Product Selection There is an almost unlimited amount of items in many characters from paint to brushes. Many specific brushes can be found in styles not always available at a big chain store. Product Pricing Really depends on the items. I find most to be reasonable. Some can be pricey, but if it is a rare item it would be pricey anywhere.

Blick Art Supplies is by far the cheapest place to find high quality art supplies. I have been using them for many years, and now they are the only supplier I use when I need to restock my art box. Typically I do a lot with watercolors, and Copic markers. I have price checked the entire world wide web over the years, and Blick beats them all by a substantial amount. On top of that, their online website gives out coupons pretty often, and also offer free shipping if the order is big enough. They keep a full stock of all colors and styles, and I have never had them run out of stock on me. Overall, I do not really have complaints about this site. If you are an artist, or an aspiring one and you are looking for a great deal; Blick Art Materials is the place to go. Most supplies that anyone could need. If not in the store they will order it for you, I have looked for some pretty obscure products and found them at the Dick Blick store in Portland, Oregon. Ease of Use Just about everyone in the store knows where to find what your looking for and there are usually enough people on the floor so that a person doesn't have to go looking for someone to help them Product Selection I shop at the Portland Oregon store and they have a huge selection of items in every department. All departments have items by multiple manufacturers and the selection is huge Product Pricing Prices are excellent and just about all products come in a variety of price ranges. Best deal in Portland. I have shopped at other Art supply stores in the city and never found one with the range of products and pricing. Customer Service Excellent. I have had problems with purchases after I got them home and out of the package and the store had no qualms about taking them back and either refunding my money or exchanging the product.
