The black popcorn pops up very white, small and crunchy. The flavor is distinctive and delicious; makes ordinary yellow and white popcorn taste bland. Pops with no hulls--zero. There are a number of black and dark blue popcorns out there, but many of us seek out the Black Jewell brand, not just because it's the only black popcorn brand, but because it is the gold standard. Make that the black standard. I've tried dozens of popcorn varieties and brands; I rank this one number one. I use an Orville Redenbacher microwave popper with only a little Harris-Teeter butter spray, then flavor with a little I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Quite healthy.
