This iron is a simple, no frills, does-the-job type of appliance. It heats very quick and makes quick work of all my clothings. All it takes is a few passes to get rid of many wrinkles and creases and such. This is a great iron because it heats very fast! This is definitely and especially good for those people in a rush. I might get a tad too hot, but like I said earlier, it only takes a few passes or less to get the work done. The steam function is all great and super easy to operate as well. My only gripe about this product is that it didn't last quite as long as I had hoped. Like other reviews, it didn't seem that durable, but I did keep real good care of it by storing it away after it cooled, which seems quick as well. I used it just less than a year, but it does a good job!

I absolutely hate ironing, hate it, really really hate it. But if i'm going to have to iron I might as well really like my iron. The Black and Decker ICR520 Iron with auto shut-off makes it somewhat enjoyable. I like the way that it keeps the cord for easy storage and has a sleek design to it. It has a number of great settings that make it pretty fool proof. I like that it came with a little pitcher designed to pour water in for the steam setting. No more trying to pour a cup of water into a tiny hole without getting it all over yourself and the hot iron. Now you just keep the cup filled with water and you can fill it as needed. I also like the red color of mine, I know it is not really that important but I really like the little pop of color. Black and decker is a name that I don't necessarily attribute to household appliances but they have definitely done a good job of making this product.

I have a black and Decker ICR520 Iron that works really well. I have had it for a while. I have only had good experiences with my iron. I like the fact that it is very durable and the steam settings work really well for me on my clothes. I have found that this iron has been really easy for me to operate and put some creases in my pants from time to time. I really love the fact that This Black and Decker ICR520 will shut off on its' own. I have had incidents in the past when I have left the iron on and had to go back home and unplug the iron. Now that I have this Black and Decker ICR 520 I will not have to be worried about that problem, because this iron shuts off on its own. I have fallen in love with this iron. I feel that I have made a great purchase when it comes to this iron. It does every thing that I want it to do and I couldn't have chosen a better iron. I did recommend this iron to my sister and she too went out and got herself one. She is glad she chose Black and Decker

My husband irons every day so he is tougher on an iron than most people may be. I purchased this becuase it was middle of the road in price. We were both happy with the iron for a few months. The heat setting and steam were great. After about the second month a huge crack appeared down the middle of the actual iron side. We continued to use it because it was just a crack and did not impair the function of the iron. A few weeks later water started leaking out so we had to throw it away as it was ruining clothes especially white clothes. I wouldn't recommend this iron for heavy use as it does not have a long life.
