My husband is British and loves his tea, and unfortunately due to his love of tea, we've gone through quite a few electric kettles. Some people have suggested microwaving mugs of hot water and NO! That would simply not do, so whenever one of our kettles breaks down, we HAVE to go out and buy a new one. This kettle has lasted us the longest so far and we imagine that it will be helping my husband make great cups of tea for many more years to come. of course, we don't use it just for tea, but whenever we need to boil some water. it is great, looks great, and we've not had a single problem with it. It's very easy to us. Even my 9year old daughter manages to fill it and turn it on and safely make cups of tea and hot chocolate for others. She knows not to touch the sides, because, of course, it can get quite hot. A lot of people ask us about the kettle whenever they stop by, because it doesn't seem to be a very popular item to own around here, but once people see it and try it, they want one too!!

This Electric Tea Kettle is a very convienent small appliance that fits well in a small space. It boils the water for tea, etc. very quickly and you can keep the water warm for another cup. It is well made and durable. I really like this kettle to take on trips so I can have hot tea or coffee in the morning before I leave the hotel. When it gets a buildup of hard water deposits it cleans well by boiling a little water with vinegar and then rinsing it well. I really love everything about this electric kettle!

My mom has had one of these for years and keeps it right next to the sink, it is so simple to use anyone can operate it! Open the top and fill it with water up until the fill line and place it on the heating port and click the button, then in just minutes you have the perfect temperature for all of your hot drink desires. Tea of all kinds, hot cocoa, hot water for oatmeal and cup of soups, all you want and more! I have used this appliance for years and have not found any flaws, and it has lasted forever. I would recommend this to any kitchen user who needs and loves hot water drinks. This is perfect for work break rooms when people do not have the time to wait for water to boil! It is perfect and convenient!

You can't really beat an electric tea kettle. It beats putting water and on the stove and waiting for it to boil. With an electric kettle, you can keep it filled with water and when you want, you just flip the switch, turn it on, and it starts to hear up. That makes sense and it takes so much less time. It is also easy to use and there really isn't any more room needed to store it, just keep it on your countertop with your other kitchen appliances. Stainless steel looks nice but you can also get the kettle in other colors if you wish to match your colors in your kitchen or dining room. I personally like the stainless steel and it is easy to clean as well. I would recomment this kettle and I don't think you would be disappointed if you bought it.

I own the Black & decker dome tea kettle in the red version. I have had this tea kettle for about 3 years. I like very much the way it boils water much more quickly than your standard stove tea kettle. My husbad and I are both avid tea drinkers and this has come in so handy. The appreance of this kettle looks beautiful on the countertop and I have gotten many complitments on it. It has an automatic shut off after the water has come to a boil, like most kettles. It comes with a filter in the spout (which is removable if you do not care for it). As other users have suggested, the lid can be a little bit of a fight to remove, but that does not seem to be too much of an issue for me. The fact that this kettle heats so well and so quickly really outweight the small and minior hassels (like the removal of the lid). This kettle is used at least 4-6 times a day at my house and is still going strong. I think this was a great purchase.

I had my sister by me the red version of the electric kettle because I really liked the appearance, it replaced a cheaper, different brand. While I am completely satisfied with the appearance, and it heats water efficiently and keeps it hot longer than my previous kettle, some features of the design are impractical. First, the filter constantly falls into the pot, and has to be attached, which is hard to do, due to the design of the handle. Second, the lid can be difficult to remove, and dangerous to remove if the kettle is at all hot.
