Got this mini vacuum recently and only used it once on my car carpeting and dash cover which is carpeting material and car mats, and was very surprised at the suction power of this little mini vacuum, even though this is my first hand vacuum the suction power of this little unit is incredible for it's size and that it is powered by a nickel cadmium battery, it also has a 4ft hose and attachments like a full size vacuum which is very handy and allows you to get all the nooks and crannies clean, although the charge just last about fifteen minutes I was able to clean all the car carpeting and car mats but then had to put this vacuum back on charge but this is still better than I have heard from users of other brands of hand vacuums, you can not expect a full cleaning it's basically for touchups of surface dirt that can be seen. There is also a base tray for your attachments for you carry them in while you work, this can be removed for better portability and lighter weight of vacuum.

This vacuum surprised me. I saw it first on an infomercial and you know those infomercials always show the product on it's best day. I had dustbusters in the past and the time they were used it was ok but lost power fast, couldnt hold a charge, etc.. So I didnt expect much from this. I bought (and paid full price) because it came with a pet hair attachment. The vacuum keeps its charge for the time I use it. I vacuum pet hair from my sofas, chairs and I have a small area rug that is black and I use it for that when unexpected guests decide to come for a visit. The vacuum has good power, and it gets the finest pet hair out of the deepest crevice and in a hurry. The machine is surprisingly lightweight. There is an attached hose that is very pliable, not rigid so it isnt hard to work with. If I use the machine for a good 40 minutes I want to say it takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours to recharge. I also like the brush attachment for getting the buried in dirt. The canister is fairly easy to clean and there is a filter you can pull out and shake the dirt off of.

After researching many hand-held vacuums online and using consumer reports, we decided to go with this one.  If price hadn't been an issue, we would have gotten the Dyson one, but price does play a big role in our buying habits right now.  I knew that I wanted something cordless to be able to take out to the car to vacuum it.  It also had to be able to pick up things like Cheerios easily.  We don't have pets (if you don't count toddlers) so that wasn't a selling point to us.  I like how it is bagless and empties very easily.  I use this to get to places my wonderful Dyson 24 can't get to easily, like behind the couch for more Cheerios.  Or down in the cushion creases in the couch for, you guessed it, more Cheerios. The only thing I don't like about the vacuum is that it is heavy.  That is the trade off for having it cordless and to have a battery that lasts.  It helps that the unit can sit upright on its own, so I'll normaly set it on the couch and use the flexible arm to suction out all the areas.

The Black and Decker FHV 1200 Bagless Canister Cyclonic Vacuum is great for busy moms!  This is a huge help when I need to clean up a small mess and don't want to drag out the heavy upright.  The four foot expandable and flexible suction hose is great for reaching high or low.  The attachments make it easy to clean up any mess quickly and easily.  The vacuum is bagless with an easy to open, easy to empty canister.  The handheld, cordless, bagless vacuum is light weight and can be set flat on surfaces or held using the handle.  I love that this vacuum is cordless and can be used to clean the stairs much easier than carrying the heavy upright up and down the stairs.  This also picks up dog hair easily. There is a detachable attachment carrier so that attachments can be carried with the vacuum or stored on the shelf in one organized and slim carrier.  This handheld vacuum is compact for easy shelf storage.  I do wish, however, that it came with a way to mount on the wall for storage.
