This vacuum has lasted me over the years however the cord is short and it is loud

I have had my vacuum for 2 years now. It worked great in the beginning, great suction and such. Over the course of the first year it began to get clogged easier and it would not suck as well as in the beginning. My husband took the filters out and cleaned them out and that helped. If you make sure that you clean it out well each time you use it the vacuum will work longer. The extensions are nice to have they help me reach what i need. Also I like that it is bag less, I don't have to worry about replacing a bag each time. Make sure you have the compartment on securely or it will not suction well. I also like that the adjustments from hard floor to carpet levels is very easy to use. I also like how light the vacuum is, it is not considered a light weight machine but I don't have issues carrying it up stairs or around the house. It stores well also. The parts are durable, nothing has broken accept the band which I found really cheap at Fred Meyers.

Bissell 87B4 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum is an affordable appliance for maintaining your house. It is lightweight and easy to use, preventing the hassle of hefty vacuum cleaners. However, the efficiency of the product is compromised due to the relatively cheaper price. The suction is not very efficient as it leaves big particles behind even after repeated attempts to clean the surface. The roller at the end of the suction tube, also, gets entangled in hair quite often. When I was using this product, the hair entanglement led to reduced motion of the roller, which in turn burnt the rubber parts at that end. The cleaning of the roller is also difficult. I used the vacuum cleaner on the carpets in my house and quite often the roller had big particles and hair stuck to it which were immensely difficult to remove. The burnt rubber also hampered the revolving motion the roller. If you intend to buy the product, make sure to clean the surface of bigger particles and hair before vacuuming for best results. Maneuverability The handle grip makes it easy to hold and use. Ease of Maintenance Hair and big particles often get stuck in the roller and are difficult to clean. Suction Performance The suction can be stronger. It is hampered, especially when particles get stuck onto the roller. Versatility It is not versatile since a few pre-requisites are required before using the product, like cleaning the surface of big particles and hair. Design It is a compact vacuum cleaner making it perfect for college students. Durability I have found the product to be quite durable since it has worked even with the burnt rubber parts

I have used the Bissell 87B4 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum in the past. Although I liked this product but I found that this required a lot of maintenance. I read a lot of reviews about this vacuum losing suction and I lost suction too but then I realized you have to really give this vacuum a nice and thourough cleaning every time you use it and it will work like brand new again. The first time I used this product, I was AMAZED at how much hair, dirt, dust and debris came up from the carpet. I had an almost full container just from one room alone, and this is after vacuuming every few days normally. So, this is great for pet hair and has good suction power. But, as I said earlier it needs maintenance and is not very easy to clean. Debris and pet hair that have been sucked nicely get stuck and are very difficult to get out making clean up a lot of hard work. Basically this needs to be babied every time you use it. For that reason, I decided to go for a new vacuum.

The vacuum is fairly light, and maneuvers well. I had a Dyson, but this is much better. It is a little loud, but that's to be expected with any vacuum. It is very durable and holds up well. This vacuum not only pulled things from my carpet my Dyson apparently could not, the attachments fully cleaned up things my Dyson attachments would not. The suction is surprisingly stronger. Both Dyson machines had a turbo attachment that barely spun so I hardly used it. This one comes with a turbo that actually works extremely well. I also like the fact that the debris forms a ball in the canister so when you open it it just falls out. My Dyson was always a mess to empty. I would have to knock it to the point dust would be airborne, and I would have to take the canister apart on regular occasions to fully knock everything out. Besides that, it is very light, extremely quiet, and the attachments work better then my old Dyson. The only downsides I can say about this is the attachment hose is pretty short and does pull and on occasion knock the vacuum over when I am using it. I wish the hose was at least 8 feet rather than 6, but possibly it will stretch out a bit over time? The other thing is the "filter" in the canister. It's a sponge. They really could have put a hepa filter in there. Also, this vacuum has a belt which I assume will need to be replaced on occasion. My Dyson didn't have a belt which was nice. Other than that I would recommend this machine. It was inexpensive and so far it has been very efficient.

This is probably the worst vacuum we could have ever purchased. I wish we had read reviews before buying. We have a husky and figured we should buy a pet vacuum since they do shed a lot, but we did a terrible job of picking one. It seemed to work just fine at first but then of course after just enough time had passed for us to be ineligible for a return/exchange, it stopped cleaning. Maneuverability It's fairly easy to move back and forth but a little harder to go in any other direction. Sometimes it's even hard to pull it backwards. It's also quite heavy. Ease of Maintenance We empty it out after every use but even after doing that, cleaning out the filters and hoses, etc., it still will not do its job (which basically makes all the work pointless). Suction Performance This does not clean up at all. I feel like it actually makes our carpets dirtier. And after every use it stinks up our entire house! Design I really like the idea of the added features (e.g. turbo eraser), but since the vacuum has a horrible suction performance, there's no point to even using them. Durability We've had this vacuum for a while now and it works in the sense that it still turns on, but still doesn't clean anything.

I always wanted a bagless vacuum and this is the best one ever. I love the convenience of not changing a bag but rather just emptying the container on the vacuum. I also very easy to clean. All you have to do is clean it with soap and water and leave it to dry. It's that simple!
