I have pale and sensitive skin so I have to be careful what I apply to it. With sensitive skin, acne treatment is tedious and moisturizing can be even worse. I've found that this stuff is great to use in conjunction with a regular skin care routine because in my regular routine I use a face wash, a facial brush, and occasionally abrasive scrubs to help clear my skin. This overnight serum is beneficial to me because after using face washes, brushes, and scrubs, my skin becomes red and irritated. This moisturizer soaks in overnight to help sooth, repair, and restore some of the healthy glow my skin has. The overnight part doesn't really matter so much but I try to put it on when I go to sleep so I am not exposed to so many elements throughout the day. One great thing about this too though is that if it is worn during the day, I can apply it to sooth my skin and then apply my makeup afterwards because the serum dries completely and soaks into my face. Effectiveness This is effective because it not only moisturizes dry skin, it also soothes skin that is irritated and dried from other facial products. I have used this to heal and repair after facial scrubs, sunburns, and wind burns. I have found that this doesn't work so well on skin that is irritated through several layers. This moisturizer does soak in but it can cause an uncomfortable, albeit short lived, tingly sensation on fresh burns and irritations. Ease of Application This is simple enough to apply. All you need to do to apply this product is push the pump and get a single squirt of the product onto your finger tips and then apply in a gentle circular motion to your face. If you are like me, you may want to use this on your neck and the V-line of your chest, so it's okay to add a second pump. A little bit of this product goes a long way. Scent This has a nice, invigorating scent. It has a citrus type smell to it that is similar to the Biore Ice cleanser. It's a nice smell that is refreshing. I like to use this in the morning because the scent is so upbeat.
