Most Effective Program I've tried!

This was the most intense workout program I've ever done. It was the program I got the most results from as far as weight loss and body fat percentage. I liked the change-up of the different workouts but got really tired of all the lunges and squats. It was hard on my knees and feet since I started the program overweight. Once I lost some weight my knees and feet didn't hurt as bad. Make sure to get some padding on the floor underneath you! There were also no easier modifications on the exercises which made it really hard to keep up sometimes. Shaun T was completely obnoxious on the videos so after I learned the exercises, I would mute the sound and listen to my own music to keep me going. I lost twenty pounds in three months on this program, which included eating a high protein/low carb diet. If you are a beginner working-out then don't start with this program! I've tried several other Beachbody programs and this one was the hardest for me!

If you are ready to lose some weight and gain muscle, get this!

If you are committed to losing some serious weight and gaining muscle tone, you need to get this Beach Body Insanity workout video. I'm not even going to lie, it is hard! I felt like I was going to die on the first day. You have to really want to do it because it will push you to your limits if you are not already in great physical shape. I wanted something that would challenge me and get me ready for the beach, and this workout delivered. It is fast paced, but it doesn't take up a lot of your time. The best thing to do is to allot yourself a specific time of the day that you are going to commit to doing this workout and stick to it. By the end of it, you will be so glad you did because you will see how much it has really helped you. I actually did the entire thing and then started over from the beginning and did it all again. I was surprised at how much easier it was the second time around because I had gotten in so much better shape.

Beach Body Insanity??? It's Insanely Impossiple!!

Because I don't have enough initiative to always get out and walk or jog or even go to the gym, I though that possibly an exercise video would give me the incentive to get up of my backside and get moving. Just pop the video in, turn it on and follow the people on the screen... I wasn't going to spend full price on a video off of the TV infomercial, so I began yard sale and thrift store searching for one. I happened on this Beach Body Insanity for a reasonable cost, so bought it and brought it home with my hopes that finally I would have something to get me moving. The first time I popped it in to the DVD player and started it, I was immediately immersed into some of the most unattainable moves and kicks and bends that I could not even figure out what foot was to be moving with what arm moving. I know that some people say, don't worry about keeping up, just move! Well, I can just move without any video. I wanted something that felt like I was participating, not moving to my own music!! I don't recommend this video to anyone who is not already fit enough to fall into a routine that is "Insane". It is not meant for anyone older than their 30's or maybe 40's and definitely not for someone who is uncoordinated.

Most Intense Workout I Ever Had

I tried Beach Body Insanity last summer when I saw it advertised on television. Normally I do not like to buy any diet or workout stuff from the TV, but after reading about this work out on a blog I wanted to give it a try. After using this I can say first hand that Beach Body Insanity is an intense workout that works if you put the work into it. Before doing this workout I was really out of shape. When I first started I could not get through the first few workouts, so I just did what I could until I was able to keep up with the trainer in the video. It took about two weeks for me to really get into the entire workout program outlined in the video, but I was very proud to say I could do it. Insanity is a great workout, my body definitely looked more toned and I felt amazing. After about a month I lost about 10 pounds and my stomach actually started to have toned abs. Overall, as long as you keep up the workout and not give up, this workout will help you get in shape and lose some weight.

Insanity is truely Insane!

Alright, so I have to admit, I am not doing this program, my husband is but he doesn't do reviews so I am doing it for him. I did, though, try out the first thing you do in the program which is the fit test and I could barely walk after the 25 min. DVD was over. I had thought about secretly doing the program without my husband knowing but after that fit test I was like "I'd have to be crazy to do this program." My husband has been working out for years, not so much cardio but weight lifting, and I have only been doing it for a couple months. It even says to not do the program if you are not an advanced exerciser (don't quote that, I was paraphrasing) and I am not very experienced. When my husband did the next days DVD, all I heard were angry bursts and huffing and puffing, also very frequent pausing of the workout because he needed to take so many breaks. When I came out to see him, he was litterally pouring out sweat and it was in puddles on the floor (grose!) but he is determined to do it. He re-injured his ankle during one session and has had to take a couple weeks off to let it heal but he is not giving up. I will update when he completes it. So, if you are physically fit and looking for a challenge, this would be it. I have never seen so many people just drop to the floor during a workout video like I have seen on this one. You know, actually, I have NEVER seen people on a workout video stop or fall to the floor like I have on this program and these people are people you would envy body wise. Kick Butt Program!

Insanitty is actually an understatment

I am currently a college sophomore and I would like to think that I am pretty physically fit. I spent an entire semester running about 4 miles a day and doing researched weight lifting routines, but after doing just a couple days of insanity I felt like I hadn't excercised in months. With its intense interval and circuit workouts, you will ache and sweat more than you have for any other workout out there to date. It is by far the most intense and effetive workout video on the market, and the nutrition plan that accompanies the videos helps compound the workouts' effects. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get in the best shape of their life, but make sure you can do it first and go at your own pace.

Hardwork pays off with Insanity

My husband saw the infomercial for insanity and had to order it. I told him he was insane for ordering something like that, but after watching him do it a few times I decided I wanted to give it a try. It looked almost impossible and I figured if I could get through it then there was nothing that I couldn't do. Once you start it just the warmup is ridiculously hard and difficult to get through. The warmup for insanity is more intense than almost every other aerobic exercise video you will ever do. Then you get into it and it is so challenging, but you can tell that it is working the way you are pouring sweat and the way you feel the burning in every muscle in your body. You don't need any other equipment other than yourself and it works wonders. You will start to see results within the first few days. It is not fun, it is insane, but also great.

I saw the infomercials for this on TV late at night, and I thought I would like to give it a try. I am always looking for new exciting exercise programs to try, but I think I may have been in over my head this time. The first day you just take the fit test, which was really hard for me and I thought I was in pretty good shape. Then the actual workouts start and I'm telling you...these things are intense and hard. You will be dripping sweat ready to pass out, but you can feel the calories burning, feel your muscles getting tighter and your heart getting healthier. This workout works. You will see results fast too. It is really hard, but you don't have to try to keep up with everyone in the video. Go at your own pace until you can keep up with them. Great workout!

Must be in good shape before you start Insanity.

Don't get me wrong, this workout works, but you have to pretty much be super fit before you even start it. I am a big man. I am around 300 pounds and I wanted to try something. This says you can burn 1000 calories in a workout so I thought it would get me fit fast. Yeah that would be great if I don't have a heart attack and die first haha. This workout is almost impossible if you aren't already in pretty good shape. He tells you to rest when you need to and go at your own page, but it is just really intense and like the name says, it is "insanity". I am still working up to trying to do it, but just the warmup is harder than most workouts I have ever done. It will work if you are determined and can get yoursellf to do it, but this workout could also be called "torture". There is nothing even the slightest bit fun about this, but I would recommend it if you are insane because it really will get you into shape. I just need to lose about 50 pounds before I try doing it again, but I will get through it one day haha.

Even if you can only do half of 'Insanity', you'll loose weight!

Okay well...this program is hard, but it's do-able. Starting out, you'll probably only be able to do 1/2 a video tape a day...and you may not be able to do each video for all 6 days of the week. BUT, it's a great program to advance through. It's takes the place of cardio in your weekly program, so NO need to get on the treadmill or walk outside (unless you're sore front the day before's workout...gentle activity may help reduce the soreness). Also, if you do no weight training/resistance training, this program is a good prep joint/muscle wise to graduate into some kind of strength training later--like 1-2 months--when you feel stronger. I like the fact that this program doesn't require any equipment...it's basically a 'boot camp drills' type workout. I can pop it into a DVD player at home or in my computer in my office over lunch time (close door, of course) and get a quick, effective workout in. You'll definitely need a good set of (preferably new) athletic shoes with good cushion as you do a lot of running in place and plyometrics (jumps). Again, if you take this at you're own speed, stop when you've done your best (so you don't injury yourself), and come back to it the next day or day after if you're too sore, you'll see great results! And Shaun (instructor) is a great motivator and the folks working out with him look great (inspiring) and show you what hard work looks like (they're sweating!). Good luck and GO FOR IT! But, don't forget to take it easy and go at your own pace--this is true a great program to work through for many months, if need be. :)
