I just started using Bayer Seresto Flea & Tick Treatment for Dogs a medicine I'd given my dog made him throw up. I've used several kinds of tropical treatments, and usually use internal medicine that kills fleas and ticks. Although they work, I don't like the effects they can have on my animals. A few months ago I discovered the Bayer collar and read how well it worked. I got a discount on it on a pet care site I still think the collar is overpriced. I do like the fact that the collar is effective for eight months, which is a long time when you take in other treatments have to be applied every month. Quality of Ingredients The quality of the ingredients must be high because so far my dog hasn't had any fleas. He's an indoor dog, but even in the winter he will get flees unless I use flea medication on him. It's only been a few months so I will have to see if it works for the total time it's supposed to. So far it has worked well however and recommend it if you're tired of applying topical treatments or giving him medicine by mouth like I used to have to do. I bought some for my cats as well and I highly recommend those if you have a cat as well. Side Effects The side-effects aren't bad, just some itching when I first put the collar on my dog.

After having my house flea infested when previously using frontline and the frontline company using excuses for the infestation, I had to find something that would work. It was suggested I try the Seresto Flea & Tick collar by a relative who works in the pet market. I have been using the Seresto Flea & Tick collar for large dogs since last summer with excellent results, no flea infestations! Quality of Ingredients There is no oily spots left on the dog to absorb dirt, etc. It is a dry collar and does not absorb any other items onto it, no mounds of dirt, dog hair, etc. You are to wash your hands once putting the collar on your pet, along with handling any flea/tick products, but there is no oily/greasy residue on your hands when applying. Side Effects I have not noticed any side effects. I have also not noticed any fleas nor ticks on any of the dogs that I know of that are using the Seresto Flea & Tick collar. I prefer the least harmful products to use on my pets and also the most effective, this product seems to work well.

I purchased this July, 2013 for our dog because I disliked applying the drops. This product has performed exactly as described. It had worked perfectly during the heat of the summer and we had a few days of spring like weather which is when I usually start with the drops because she starts itching but this year that did not happen which was wonderful. They say it is good for eight months and I will have to say this is a product I will continue to purchase for our dog. She did not suffer from any side effects. It also has reflectors that can be put on the collar so as we are sitting outside in the evening we have no problem knowing where she is in the yard. I will never purchase the drops for our dog again. This product is a breeze put on because it is just like a collar. It stops the itching almost immediately. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a pet that needs to have flea and tick protection. Quality of Ingredients Great quality! Side Effects No side effects for our dog.
