This product actually says on the container that its an aromatherapy treatment and should be placed on the throat and chest for nasal relief.  While this product does provide nasal relief, that's not how it should be used.  I use this product on my lips daily for moisturizing and healing.  A one ounce jar lasts me a year.  This is the only balm I've found that soothes my lips and keeps them from cracking and bleeding during the winter. Because this product has eucalyptus oil, you won't want to use it if you don't like strong scents.  However, the oil works great as a cold and sinus therapy as well.  When I'm sick, I use the balm right underneath my nose.  I can't say that it clears up my nose the way medicine does, but it does help.  It also keeps the skin under my nose from blistering and turning red from repeated tissue use.  I simply reapply every time I blow my nose, and I don't have the same problems that I did when I was using Vaseline for the same issue. I highly recommend this product, even though I guess I do technically use it in a way different than the company expects.
