I have a love hate relationship with Bath and Body Works. I love them with all my heart because they bring such amazing products to the table. I hate them, because from time to time my little family claims we need to eat. I was never able to get Bath and Body Works until I was in my twenties. The first scent I tried was Warm Vanilla Sugar and the second was Sea Island Cotton. It really is true when they say that you associate a smell with a memory. I remember standing in the store, surrounded by so many different scents. I fell in love with the fresh clean smell immediately. When you put this lotion on your skin, it feels like heaven. It's not too think and not to thick. It's the perfect combination. My skin tends to stay moisturized for approximately 3 hours. The reason why it's such a short time is because I live in such a hot dry climate. I love Sea Island Cotton and make sure I always have a bottle on hand.

I have previously and in the past purchased and used this Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Sea Island Cotton Body Lotion and I was not really impressed with it. In fact I only used it a few times and then I gave it away. Now I do know that everybody has different taste in the scents they like and this particular one I did not like at all. It smelled too much like cheap laundry detergent to me. Now as far as the lotion part goes it is a good lotion for all over use and it did help to moisturize my skin and left it feeling soft but not weighed down. But I personally could not get past the smell. It was definitely too strong and overpowering for my taste. The price of this Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Body Lotion was very reasonable as I did purchase it on sale. Like I said I would like to have the lotion just not this particular scent. I would certainly say with this product for everyone to make their own decision because if you like the scent you will like the lotion. It was not for me.

Bath & Body Works is one of my favorite stores to shop for bath and body products! One of my favorite lotions they have is the Signature Collection Sea Island Cotton body lotion! The scent of this lotion is really great! It smells like a fresh hammock on a relaxing beach on a warm breezy day. It gives me a little vacation happiness on the average day. This lotion absorbs very well into my skin and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. It leaves a very nice scent on my skin all day and I use the Signature Collection Sea Island Cotton body spray to really enhance the scent! I love how soft this lotion makes my skin feel. I use this all over my body! It's very good at moisturizing my skin and it does not irritate my skin, which is very prone to dryness and psoriasis. Overall, this is a really great lotion from Bath & Body Works! It's one of my favorite scented lotions!

I'm a longstanding user of Bath & Body Works products, especially their lotions (one of my minor vices!) I received a set of Sea Island Cotton bath gel/lotion/fragrance for Christmas from a friend and was excited to try out a fragrance I hadn't experienced before. As always, the lotion absorbed well and did a good job at moisturizing my skin. For the first time, however, I frankly disliked the scent of a Bath & Body Works product. I think the company was trying for some sort of clean linen scent; however the lotion simply smelled like cheap laundry detergent (that's the only thing that came to my mind when trying to describe the scent). It has a heavy soapy smell that I had to wash off within minutes of application. It may be just a personal preference but the scent really was unpleasant. Scent It has a strong soapy smell. I couldn't use the product because of the scent. Absorption The lotion absorbed well into the skin and didn't leave a tacky or sticky residue. Effectiveness It's a good moisturizing lotion.

I love this lotion and the natural scent takes me away for a short while with its ocean scent. I can use this lotion and after the first application my skin feels better and is on its way to healing. I got this lotion on sale at my local bath and body store for a great price just like a lot of their products and have been using it ever since. Scent The light ocean fresh scent is amazing. I am very sensitive to a lot of highly perfumed products but this one does not bother me. The fresh clean scent does not linger strongly on my skin and is such a light refreshing scent that it is actually pleasant to smell and relaxing. Absorption I like that after applying this lotion it quickly absorbs into my skin and after just the first application my skin starts healing. Effectiveness I like this product because I know it is a excellent quality product with top ingredients in it to make it work for a long time with one use a day.

This sea island cotton lotion reminds me of fresh linens, fresh and clean with a hint of fruitiness. I think is a great spring scent! That being said, I don't always use it regularly as it does have a very distinct smell. The lotion itself is great. It has a nice texture and spreads and absorbs easily. I like using these Bath and Body "lotions" instead of the cremes during the day because they have a lighter texture and can be used on the go. This lotion also does a great job at soothing cracked and dry skin and moisturizing in general. I love to use these right after the shower as they do a great job at locking in moisture and softening the skin. The last thing I like about this lotion is the price. It is very affordable, especially coupled with the buy 3 get 2 free deals Bath and Body is always having. Overall a great lotion if you like the scent. I would recommend testing it out first.

This is your basic Bath & Body Works signature lotion. I got it as a stocking stuffer last year and was interested in it because it was a scent I'd never smelled in the store before. I opened it up and nearly gagged. I ended up giving it to my mom because she seems to like it. Scent I didn't know it was possible before smelling this lotion, but there is such a thing as too fresh. The scent is very clean, like soap or laundry, but not like laundry straight out of the dryer, more like sticking your face in a box of powdered detergent and sniffing it right into your nose. It made me sneeze and cough and the overpowering smell gave me a huge headache. It's almost a medical antiseptic smell. Don't get this as a gift for someone unless you already know they use and like it because most people don't want to smell like a hospital. It does seem to dissipate to a tolerable level after about an hour, but who has that kind of time?

I love most products from Bath and Body Works, but this lotion has got to be one of my favorites from the Signature Collection. It has a lighter scent compared to others (you can put it on your entire body without smelling over-powering), but it is definitely true to the description. Scent It's a fairly light smell, but it smells great - like fresh laundry at the beach Absorption It is not greasy and absorbs quickly Effectiveness It makes skin softer and smoother, and it helps you smell lovely

I received a coupon for a travel sized bottle of Bath & Body Sea Island Cotton Body Lotion. Loving most of the fragrances from Bath &Body Works, I decided to redeem the coupon. I was pleasantly surprised with the lovely aroma of this fragrance. If you are looking for a light and airy fragrance, I would definitely recommend the Sea Island Cotton fragrance to you. You will feel like you are floating on air. And you will get many compliments from friends as I did when you wear it. Better yet, it was free. It feels so smooth on my skin. I will definitely buy a larger size when it is all. I will probably try other products in this fragrance.

My all time favorite scent from Bath and Body Works is " Cotton Blossom". I buy it in the Bath/shower Gel, and the lody lotion. The scent is so soft and clean and delicatible.  I can not longer find Cotton blossom but was assured by a sales clerk in the local Bath and Body Works shop here that the Sea Island Cotton is as close as you can get.  It does have a light fresh cotton scent and the lotion works great to soothe my dry skin but it still isn't the same scent that Cotton Blossom had.  I wonder why, every time I find somethng I really love, they quit making it.  I was told that the company switched Cotton Blossom out for the Sea Island Cotton and it is supposed to be very close to the same.  I bought Sea Island Cotton and it is not close to Cotton Blossom.  It is good. It has a great scent; is clean smelling, soft, and flattering but I still miss my Cotton Blossom bath and body works products.  I pretty much stay with a scent when I find one I really like and the Cotton Blossom suited me perfectly. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Sea Island Cotton and it does have such a fresh scent that I have come to enjoy it, but I also want my Cotton Blossom back.
