I did not understand why people used body scrubs, until I tried Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub a few years ago! In a short clique, it made me a believer. The scrub worked wonderfully. The sugar was not grainy and so went on my skin rather smoothly. The oil was ultra moisturizing for my skin. And the fragrance, oh my goodness, it was heavenly for my senses. I especially liked to use this product during evening baths, because it helped to wind my mind down and relax my body. I would always have a Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub on hand -- sometimes I would even stock up when they were on sale and I had a coupon. I eventually stopped using the scrub, however, because of the price. I'm sad to learn that it was discontinued? But I am happy to report that you can make a similar scrub yourself from many of the ingredients you already have in your kitchen!

This stuff was amazing when I first bought it which was a while ago. I usually have problems sleeping and would end up staying up till in the A.M. So when I found this I thought I would give it a try since it was to help sleep and it was aromatherapy. I really like aromatherapy because it really seems to work well for me so I was super excited. Also the price wasn't bad at all for everything you get. The smell is wonderful another reason I bought it the lavender is spot on right with the vanilla making it a really natural calming scent to help you fall asleep. I also like the texture of it since it was a sugar scrub it really helped to exfoliate the skin, especially if it was really dry and needed to come off. I do wish it was sold at the time in a bigger container so you could buy more. As for the sleeping aid factor I would say that it really helped along the lines of it helping me be able to sleep soundly and to help me fall asleep faster than I usually do. I am really upset that they discontinued this product.

First of all, I have recently discovered the wonder of sugar scrubs. Let me say, if you have not yet, please get to Bath and Body Works and try this one. It is a great place to start. The smell is nice and the scrub is nothing short of heavenly. I usually use this product once a week. The scrub is pleasant enough when being applied, but the true thrill is the way your skin feels when this product is removed. It feels like a baby's skin. The scent is heavenly. The product is relaxing and is great for a luxurious treat before bedtime. After using this product with the matching lotion, I am relaxed and ready for sleep. Effectiveness My skin is so soft after using this product. I love how it feels on my skin. I also love how my skin feels afterwards. It is truly an affordable pampering. No need for a spa here, just give me a warm bath and this product. I can have that spa feeling after using this product! Very relaxing and so pleasant.... Scent The scent is perfect. I love this whole product line.

**Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla** collection of products is one of my favorite collections of all time and the Sugar Scrub is no exception! It's actually one of my favorite products in the Lavender Vanilla collection. I'm a true believer in aromatherapy. I'm an anxious type of person who's always worried about something. I like lavender products a lot because they calm me and relax me and help me to sleep better...but some products with a lavender scent are a little stronger than I prefer. Adding the vanilla made this product smell very close to perfect, in my opinion! So, scrubbing my body with **Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub** makes me relax...but it doesn't stop there! This sugar scrub exfoliates very well ...it gets rid of old, dead, dry skin but it does so very gently. It isn't rough or sandy feeling like many exfoliaters. It makes my very dry skin fee extremely soft, velvety smooth, and wonderfully hydrated. I have used more expensive brands of sugar scrubs, but I haven't used one that I like better than I like **Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub**. It's like magic in a jar and I very highly recommend it! Effectiveness Not only does this wonderful sugar scrub gently but effectively exfoliate dead skin from your body, it also leaves your skin feeling super soft an very moisturized. It helps you to wash away the worries of the day, sleep peacefully, and makes you feel good all over! Scent Oh my gosh--the scent is terrific! It's so calming and relaxing--the perfect blend of lavender and vanilla. The fragrance is very close to perfect!

I never even thought about sugar scrubs before going to work at Bath & Body Works nearly two years ago. As is true in so many cases, however, the customers sold me on the aromatherapy sugar scrubs. Or perhaps I should say the sugar scrubs sold me on the sugar scrubs; the customers simply talked me into trying them. They're a little different in that their high oil content means you need to stir the scrub before you use it. This same high oil content means your skin is left not only exfoliated but feeling astoundingly soft and silky. This is by far the best sugar scrub I've ever used, no matter what scent you choose and no matter what your skin type. In case it helps, I'll mention in particular that I've had multiple African American customers tell me this is one of their most important weapons against ashy skin. And the scent is fabulous. Being an aromatherapy product, it genuinely affects your mental, emotional, and physical state. I like layering aromatherapy products in the same way you layer other products. For instance, if you have trouble falling asleep or sleeping through the night, a special evening ritual could include this sugar scrub followed by a lavendar vanilla bubble bath. Then moisturize with the body lotion and spray your sheets and pillow cases with the pillow mist. You'll almost surely sleep like the proverbial baby! BBW's aromatherapy line offers several options. If you need help sleeping, there are also lavendar chamomile (my personal favorite) and black camomile. You may also be interested in their scent selections for energy and sensuality.

I had used a sugar scrub before at a friends house or something, and I remembered how much I liked it. So, when I found this on sale at a Bath and Body Works, I was so excited! Then I took it home and used it- even better! The smell is fantastic, and the results are great. My hands often get dry very quickly, as I'm a waitress and dry winter months attack my ever washed/sanitized hands. It is always so nice to use this scrub to quickly take away the rough skin, and then have it moisturized at the same time, with such a great smell! I love using it on my hands and feet the most. The only thing that sometimes bothers me about it is the somewhat greasy feeling it leaves behind, soon after you use it. Overall, it's not that big of a deal. Highly recommended! (I think I might go use some, right now :))

Whenever I shower, I usually have to shave a few certain areas.  Before I found this scrub, sometimes the areas would become raw from the frequent shaving.  I then discovered Bath and Body Works Sugar Scrub...HEAVEN!!  I just smooth this scrub where ever I am planning on shaving, rinse it off, apply the shaving cream, and shave.  I always end up with a smooth shave.  No more bleeding or raw patches.  I love products from the brand Arbonne.  I thought I would use their scrub and see how I like it.  Well, I hated it.  It made me realize how much I loved the larger crystals...I think that helped with it not stinging or being to harsh.  I love the smell...it is never overwhelming and I always enjoy my relaxing shower.  And the Arbonne scrub was a lot more money as well.  This product is really affordable, especially if you use a coupon with it.  I have been out of this scrub for awhile now, and after writing this review, I've convinced myself to go buy some more!! :)

**Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub** is the best scrub I have found for exfoliating away dead skin cells effectively. I love the way it leaves your skin smelling amazing and silky smooth and soft. I can't get enough of this scrub. The lavender vanilla scent of this product makes me feel so relaxed and honestly awesome. I can't stop touching my arms and legs after a round of exfoliation with this scrub and I am not the only one! My boyfriend loves the way I smell and feel coming out the shower after a round of exfoliation with this wonderful product. Bath and body works really knows how to make a product that smells amazing and actually works. I have never felt more feminine! It's a pretty inexpensive scrub that does the job without stinging like most salt scrubs do. It smells great, moisturizes, and leaves me in good spirits. I can't ask for more! Besides lavender is supposed to be one of the most stimulating scents for men and women alike!

I was given this product as a gift and I absolutely love it!  It is a very nice way to end the day with the relaxing "sleep" aromatherapy scent it contains.  However, it can certainly be used in the morning too even though it says "sleepy!"  I certainly have used it in the morning and enjoy it just as much then as I do in the evening.  This scrub also gently exfoliates my skin without the irritation products that exfoliate containing salt can cause or a loofah either.  Also, it has oil in it is so it is moisturizing as well and my skin feels very nice and soft afterwards.  Also - all the sugar disolves into the water and goes down the drain (unlike oatmeal bars I have tried to exfoliate).  Due to the oil in this product however, it does leave a ring in the tub that needs to be scrubbed out but I don't mind for such a nice product.  I have never had a problem with the tub being slippery afterwards either.  This is a  small spa treatment at home for a fair price!
