My husband and I just got back from a 2-week Caribbean vacation with some friends. Halfway through the trip, we were running short of sunscreen, so we stopped into a local shop and bought Banana Boat Kids Tear-Free Sting-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 50. It's not a brand we normally use but, even though we were all adults, we chose it because we were sick of getting sunblock in our eyes and having it sting, and this really didn't. Also, we have very sensitive skin, and this didn't cause any irritation. The no-drip tube was great, because it meant that the sunblock went only where we wanted it, on our skin and not on clothes, floors, etc. I won't hesitate to buy it again. Effectiveness I applied Banana Boat Kids Tear-Free Sting-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 50 every morning and again after swimming or bathing, and I didn't get any sunburns at all. Scent Banana Boat Kids Tear-Free Sting-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 50 has a pretty typical, chemical sunblock scent. It doesn't last once the sunscreen is absorbed, though, so it wasn't a problem. Absorption Banana Boat Kids Tear-Free Sting-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 50 is very thick, so it takes quite a bit of rubbing to get it to absorb. For me, this was actually a good thing; because it is white until it sinks in, this makes it very easy to see where I've covered and where I've missed spots.

We are at the beach a lot with a very pale family in the summertime. This product is one of our go-to products. I usually use it on the face because it truly is sting-free and tear-free. My daughter, especially, has very sensitive eyes. However, this is one of the few products she tolerates well. The coverage is good also. The price is reasonable, too. Effectiveness I have never had one of my children get sunburned through this sunscreen. I also like the application because we can smear it right over the eyelids and not have to worry about any complaints. It truly is tear-free and sting-free. We have tried a lot of these products, and this one is what it claims to be. Scent There is no scent to this product, so there are no complaints from finicky noses when it is applied. It also does not leave a smell on adult hands after they apply it. Absorption The absorption on this product is better than most. It blends easily and smoothly. We have been very pleased with it.

This Banana Boat Kids Tear-Free sting-free sunblock lotion with SPF 50 is another great kids sunblock product! I was given several tubes of this last summer and loved using it. My four young children definitely have a tendency to rub their eyes in the bright sun, and this never seemed to irritate or bother their eyes. Each one has sensitive skin, and yet this product was suitable for everyday use. It is easy and convenient to use, it absorbs easily without being too greasy, and the fragrance is light and pleasant. The SPF 50 offered good protection. I reapplied as per the instructions on the bottle, but I never had problems with the kids getting sunburned. The tubes seemed to last for a while too. All in all, this is a great and reliable product which I will definitely buy again if given the chance. You will not be disappointed in the performance of this product.

I used this product through summer when I was out in the sun all day during my sports season. When I used this product, I never got any sort of sun irritation as long as I applied it every 1.5 to 2 hours. This is a physical sunblock with high amounts of zinc oxide, giving it that ghostly white cast, so it takes a lot of rubbing in to get rid of. This product is also very oily and goopy, so it makes skin very greasy after use and some of the product drips off while using it. Overall, this would be a good sunblock if you are doing sports and are in the sun for long periods of time, but I wouldn't use it on a daily bases because it is too oily and leaves behind a white cast, so I would go for a chemical sunblock instead. Overall, this is a great product that saved me from a lot of painful sunburns and skin cancer, but it could have been slightly better. Effectiveness While using this product, even when I stood in the sun in the middle of the day in the hottest part of summer, my very pale skin that usually gets sunburned in 10 minutes, didn't get any sort of sunburn or other sun irritation for up to 2 hours. It really saved me from a lot of pain and cancer. Scent This product is fragrance free, so it would be ideal for sensitive skin because it is also a physical sunblock. Absorption It takes about five minutes to rub in a fair amount of product into the skin. Even after five minutes, there is still a white cast left behind that won't disappear no matter how much you rub. This wouldn't really be terribly obvious if you have pale or fair skin, so I wasn't terribly bothered by it.

Banana Boat Kids Tear Free Sting Free Sunblock Lotion SPF 50 is an economically priced sunscreen that is good for kids and eveyone in the whole family. My husband, daughter and I all have red tones to our hair and lots of freckles. My son does not have freckles, but he has blond hair and also very fair skin. So we only buy suncreen with at least an SPF of 50. This one is very economically priced. There are a lot of suncreens out there with the higher SPF that charge a lot more. I started using this on my kids when they were in grade school and not really able to take responsiblity to make sure they had proper sun protection. We also live in the south, so this was a great concern, especially in the summer months. So, I would put this on them in the morning, and would re-apply in the afternoon. (I might re-apply more often if they were swimming). As a result, my kids have never had sunburns. This gives me great peace of mind, since sunburns in early childhood are especially a risk factor for skin cancer later in life. This sunscreen is rather thick, but rubs into the skin easily and wears well. Don't have to re-apply for several hours. We can use it for the whole family, which is convenient. Effectiveness This is a very effective sunscreen. I have used it for about 5 years on my kids and we live in the south and they are active and play outside and they have never had sunburns. Scent This sunscreen is fragrance free. Absorption This sunscreen is thick, but rubs into the skin quickly and well. You can get good coverage quickly. This was always important, since the kids are always in a hurry to go outside to play.

This product is awesome! Not only is it high in SPF but it is also tear free a perfect combination for beating the UV rays! My son is very pale and sensitive to the sun. He has been known to get burns on his collar line from just playing outdoors to the point he gets blisters and has to go to the doctors office even if he has been wearing sunblock! I found this is the only product that truly protects his skin! He can play outside, it doesn't get into his eyes like other failed products have, and it actually keeps him from getting burnt! I keep this product stocked up In my house for my children and for the neighborhood children as well to keep them from getting burnt while playing outside. Effectiveness It is the best product, hands down, that I have ever used for sunblock Scent It smells like sunscreen but its not overly strong Absorption Works great absorbs well its the only product I trust on my children to protect them from the sun.

I've been using Banana Boat sunblock for as long as I discovered it which is probably about 4 years now. I particularly like it clearly because of it's total ability to block the sun. My 7 year old son, wore it every day this summer when he went into the pool (the temperature was probably about 95 degrees most days). We only applied it once and he was always in the pool for about an hour. In addition, he gets quite bad excema and whilst this lotion has protected him from getting sunburnt on every occasion, it has achieved this in spite of the fact that, as he has excema, it is quite difficult to rub in. My oldest son doesn't have excema, therefore we're able to rub in the cream very easily and he also, has never been burnt with one hour of sun exposure in 95 degree temperatures. The cream never seems to completely absorbs into the skin - perhaps that's why it is so effective. This is my preferred sunblock - coupons or not!

Banana Boat sunscreen spray UVB 50 works well. I use it before work, I work outdoors with children, about 15 minutes before going out in the sun and don't get burnt. I don't even get red so it's keeping the UV rays off my skin. It's shiny at first but then the shine goes down some. I don't use it on my face because it's a spray. I tried spraying my hands with it and then rubbing my hands on my face but it made me perspire. I have tried to do it this way many times just in case it was a fluke or I would have perspire extra that day but that wasn't the case. I seem to perspire more when I use it on my face. Also when I use it on my face I rub the product and sweat and invaribly get it in my eyes and it stings. Yet when I used it on my daughter and she rubbed her eyes it didn't sting her and it doesn't appear to make her perspire either, so it must be my chemical makeup. So I don't use it on my face.

I have two red-heads and a husband that burns vey easily, so I am always looking for something strong enough for them and safe.  Banana Boat is one of those that has the SPF that is high enough for us, and the price is good. Banana Boat is one of the more fair priced sunscreens that I have found.  We use so much sunscreen over the  year that I hate to have to pay some of the higher prices, and I feel that I get a good value for the price I pay on the Banana Boat. The SPF on this one is 50, and it works well for the red-heads. We tend to only buy sunscreens that are at least SPF 50, which can be hard to find. I am so glad that Banana Boat makes a SPF 50, and that I can usually always find it when I go to the store.  It goes on easy, it is pretty thick, so it makes speading it over the skin easy.  The formula is a non-tearing, hypoallergenic and waterproof. I love that about it, makes it really good for the kids. When it is time to go shopping for sunscreen I always look for the Banana Boat display and find my favorites. I am upset if I can't find the Banana Boat display.
