Get ready to be sniffing your hair all day long!

I am a sucker for good-scented things, but have also learned to use quality products on my hair when I spend so much money on coloring. This Back to Basics shampoo was a big hit for me right off the bat. I LOVE the scent, it's less expensive than many of the brand name hair products, and it's an effective non-damaging daily hair cleanser. Did I mention the scent? Fantastic! Effectiveness Great overall cleanser, definitely gets all of the various products I use out nicely. I have color treated hair & though I can't honestly say that this shampoo extends the life of my color, I have never noticed any increased fading of my color. Scent This coconut-mango scent is fabulous!! It is just as described, so if you don't like coconut or mango, you're not going to be a fan. However, if you do...it really is a great combination. Sweet, but not overpowering. I love shampooing with it (lathering it up makes it smell great), and it's actually a shampoo that leaves the scent on the hair after you rinse (most shampoos rinse away the scents). I love it and catch myself sniffing my hair throughout the day whenever I use it.

Works great, smells great!

I have been using Back to Basics shampoos for almost 10 years. I have tried other brands every now and then, but none of them compare to Back to Basics. Back to Basics has a wide variety of shampoos, each specially made for different types of hair. The Coconut Mango shampoo is made for thick, coarse hair, which is what I have. It applies great, rinses out great, and when it comes time to comb my hair, my comb goes through without any problems, which doesn't happen with other shampoos. Another thing I love about Back to Basics is that the smell lasts in your hair, even after it dries! All the scents smell amazing, but the coconut mango happens to be my favorite, so I was glad to see it was for my type of hair. Effectiveness This shampoo is very effective. My hair always feels clean, looks great, smells great, and it lasts all day long! With this shampoo, I don't have to worry about it looking greasy or losing the smell after a few hours, half a day, or even a whole day within washing it. Scent I love the coconut mango smell! It isn't too strong, but it doesn't hide either. Even hours after washing and drying my hair, I can still smell the coconut mango. It's a nice combination of fruity, but the coconut makes sure the fruit smell isn't over bearing.

Man, I go nuts for mango and coconuts.

I love this shampoo tremendously. It leaves my hair looking and smelling great. And it has the same sort of feel that Salon quality shampoo feels. Every time I have used this it feels like I just went out and spent money to have my hair done at the salon (And when you can get those kind of results at home--you have to know it is a God send). This stuff lathers like crazy and a little goes a long way. There was one thing that was a minor step back for me though, I was a little disappointed in the formula. Considering the brand name is Back to Basic, I just assumed that it would have natural products. But one of the first ingredients is "Sodium Laureth Sulfate" which is NOT natural (Or at least what we think of as natural). Scent The scent on this stuff is truly amazing and one of my favorites coming from a hair care product. It has the perfect balance between coconut and mango. It has less of a perfumey smell and more of a natural one, which I love, because honestly, coconut and mango just smell tropical and lovely.

Revitalize Your Hair with Natural Ingredients

Many top salons use this nice smelling shampoo on their customers hair. I love the smell of coconut and mango so I decided to give Back to Basics Mango Shampoo a try. I found that this shampoo not only smelled fabulous, it really conditioned my hair from the bottom to the top. Effectiveness I found that this shampoo erased the dryness that I have on my scalp. I used to be worried with how dry my scalp was and now I can shampoo twice a week without worry about drying out my scalp by shampooing. Works for all hair types and deep cleans without drying out your hair. Recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice smelling hair product that does not smell like perfume. Scent As for the scent of this shampoo, it is absolutely fabulous. Makes me feel like I am in a tropical paradise. Neither one of these scents overpower the other. They compliment each other. Love coconut and mango so it is a win-win situation. I often get compliments on how nice my hair smells when I use this product.

Great Smelling Shampoo

Back to Basics Coconut Mango Shampoo might be one of the best smelling shampoos ever. Although this is a little on the expensive side, I like to get it whenever I find it at a local discount store so it's not too unaffordable. This shampoo keeps my hair clean and smelling nice all day long. It does not cause my hair to get oily at all. On the other hand, it does not make my hair dry at all. It's nice because I can use it on my color-treated hair without having to worry about it fading the color or causing my hair to look dull. Effectiveness This keeps my hair clean and does not cause it to become oily at all. It's also gentle enough to use on my color-treated hair without having to worry about the color fading. Scent This is one of the best smelling shampoos. The Coconut Mango scent is not too powerful that it becomes overwhelming. It is the perfect shampoo for the summer months when you want to have a fruity scent.

Smells Incredibly good!

I have thick naturally curly hair that is all the way down my back. I have experimented with so many different shampoos and conditioners and none of them can compare to Back to Basics Coconut Mango Shampoo. I absolutely love this shampoo. It is definitely worth the high price. This shampoo is made for coarse and dry hair. I think it would weigh down thinner hair. It's very rich and creamy and smells amazing. It smells like real coconut and mango, not the cheap fragrances that are added to a lot of shampoos these days. A little bit goes a long way. It lathers like no shampoo I have ever tried. I have biracial children and I use it on their hair also. When I use this on a regular basis my hair stays silky smooth and my curls don't get frizzy during the day. I constantly get compliments on the scent that it leaves on my hair. If you are looking for a shampoo that is gentle yet effective, this is a great choice.

Luxuriously scented shampoo. a great value with great results!

this is my FAVORITE shampoo. Makes my hair feel as though i just got back from a salon. and i LOVE the scent. Mango is my Favorite. it also has great value. it works well but doesnt break the bank, as so many shampoos do. Budget friendly, which is super important as i am on a fixed income. Effectiveness my hair gets clean without being stripped of its natural oils. it leaves my hair soft and shiny. Even after the mass amounts of hair dye i use. Its a great after dye shampoo, washes away the dye quickly and effectively. Also works great combined with the matching Conditioner. A dynamic duo! Scent The scent is my favorite part of this shampoo. the mango and coconut transport me to a tropical island, and away from my doldrums. Just enough fragrance to be enjoyable, but not too much to be overpowering. i often find it hard to find shampoos that do not have too overpowering of a scent, as i am very sensitive to smells.

The Back to Basics Coconut Mango shampoo does a wonderful job. Along with a very welcoming scent (which, if you have a great imagination like I do, makes you feel like you are vacationing in the tropics when you shut your eyes and take a whiff), it really works in your hair instantly. As soon as you lather up, you can feel the difference in the touch of your hair. Effectiveness This stuff works instantly. It leaves you with soft, silky, smooth, manageable, and very beautiful-looking hair. If you splurge and use their conditioner too, the results are even sweeter. Scent The scent of this shampoo (and conditioner) are so, so, so good. The sweet smell of coconut mixed with it's tropical partner, mango, are always a good match. The best part about this shampoo is the scent. You can never go wrong with this scent, it surprises you with a strong, sweet smell at first, but then stays in your hair as a subtle, yet beautiful smell throughout the day.

The best smelling, conditioning shampoo.

The Back to Basics Shampoos and Conditioners are the best I have found. I only use Professional hair products. And I've tried many brands recommended by my Stylists. But I keep going back to Back to Basics Products. A little goes a long way. Frist, the shampoos and conditioners are gentle on my hair and scalp. The scents that I have tried are really nice. Some are fruity and some have a clean scent. Some of the scents I have used are Raspberry Almond which helps in restoring damaged hair. I have to say I thought my hair felt a little dry after using the Raspberry Almond. There is Green Tea for Normalizing hair. Vanilla Plum is for damaged and dull hair.  The Vanilla Plum is anohter of my favorite that I keep on hand at all times. Blue Lavender I tried once but was not crazy about it. It's suppose to be good for people who color their hair. And I color my hair at least every six weeks. But I did not notice a difference on how long my coloring lasted. Bamboo smells really good and is for hair straightening. Unfortunately, I prefer a little curl in my hair so I cannot use that one. I also use the Back to Basics Conditioners. None of them seem to weigh my hair down or dry my scalp like other brands I have tried. I also tried one of the styling products. The styling mousse. I liked the fact it did not contain alcohol in the product. It helps keep from having build up on my scalp. Less itching for my dry scalp. It also wasn't overwhelming in scent. Always a plus for me. I wish the Back to Basics products were easier to find in my area. The company needs to make them more available. So far I have found one place in one of our malls that carrys the Back to Basics products. And some times when I go to purchase mine they are either out of the ones I like or very low on stock. I guess that is a good sign that they sell well. My daughter is in the Army and came home around Christmas. When she left she wanted a bottle of my Coconut Mango Shampoo and Conditioner. Luckily I had two of the regular sizes on hand and gave them to her. She loves the scent too! I try to keep the larger sizes on hand here. That way I have plenty on hand. If anyone asks what I use I tell them Back to Basics. Even my new Stylist says my hair always feels and looks healthy. That says a lot to me.
