The mascara addict that I am is silly enough to keep buying Avon mascara even though it always disappoints me. I keep thinking that a new formula or the latest brush will be amazing and I'll just *have *to try it. While this SuperMagnify Mascara isn't amazing, it isn't as bad as the other Avon mascaras I've tried. In fact, if it gave me more volume, I would call it a good mascara. **Avon SuperMagnify Mascara **has a very unique brush. The bristles are extremely short and barely noticeable. It almost looks as if it has no bristles. The microscopic bristles happen to be a pro *and *a con. They're a pro because they make it easy for the brush to grab your lashes, and I mean *all *your lashes. It adds a lot of length to them too. Another bonus is the fact that there's no clumping. Since the bristles are so short, they can't bind and stick lashes together like longer bristles can. The con to the microscopic bristles is the fact that they're so short, they can't hold enough mascara to properly coat my lashes. I have to dip the wand and apply the mascara several times, where I would normally only have to re-dip a wand once with a traditional mascara. Another con is the lack of volume. I'm not sure if it's due to the brush or the formula, but I get almost no volume at all. I like that **Avon SuperMagnify Mascara **adds tons of length to my lashes and is able to coat all of them, but I really want length AND volume in my mascara. If it gave me more volume, I would give it 4 stars.

I was a little leery at first with this weird brush Avon said would give "definition and volume."  I figured with the love it or return it guarantee, I'd try it.  I was very impressed.  My eyelashes are a bit funky - they don't curl well and they tend to clump no matter what mascara I used.  I was excited when I tried the SuperMagnify for the first time and I had NO clumps!  Every eyelash, even the tiny ones, were coated with mascara.  It is what I would consider a light-weight mascara.  It didn't look heavy on my lashes - it didn't really look like I had mascara on at all.  My eyelashes even somehow stayed curled.  That was a first as well! The mascara doesn't provide what I would call a dramatic look.  It's very subtle, great for running errands.  What I have recommended to my friends is using this mascara on their bottom lashes for definition.  I usually use a different mascara on my top lashes just for an added pop.

Like so many other women, I have a hard time finding a good, dependable mascara that lives up to the advertisement.  I hate wasting money trying products like mascara that end up clumping, smearing and not lasting all day long.  I was on the Avon website and saw this product and read the reviews.  Since it was on sale, I decided to give it a try.  I purchased the G04 brown since I am a redhead.  I was a bit doubtful when I saw the brush, as it has very short bristles.  However, it has been very well designed.  The bristols make the mascara go on so easily and without any problems like clumping.  The handle is very long, which I wish was a bit shorter as several times I have accidently rubbed it against my face and the mascara on the wand has smeared on my cheek.  I can live with it since I am very happy with this product and plan to purchase more.  It always pays to read the reviews of the product when you can before making that purchase.  Give this one a try and I am sure you will be happy with it too.
