A friend who sells Avon purchased this for me because I had mentioned my uneven and dry skin tone . She had recommended this along with several other Avon products . Although I do think some of the Avon skin line is pretty good for the price, I was a little less impressed with this item. First of all , it has a bit of an odd odor - not that pleasant at all and I always wonder if it lingers when others smell it . It goes on a bit heavy and greasy too and does not absorb very well even though my skin quite dry  - it should be absorbed much more quickly and evenly and it tends to leave a film on my skin which makes applying makeup difficult . I also did not notice much of an improvement in either the texture of my skin or in the uneven skin tone , I much prefer a product that has Alpha Hydroxy or glycolic acids to do either of those things - actually, I think baby oil does a better job than this does and it smells better also and a lot cheaper .

After years of laying in the sun and spending countless hours in a tanning booth, I took a long look at my skin in the mirror and was not happy with what I saw.  I could easily see all the uneven skin tone and discolored spots on my face.  It was embarrassing and I could see it made me look at least 5 years older than I was.  I had heard that Vitamin C serum can help reduce the look of sun spots and even skin tone so I looked for a product with high concentration of Vitamin C.  When I saw the Vitamin C serum in an Avon catalog, I decided I would give it a try.  Since I have started using the Vitamin C serum, I can see the sun spots have lightened in color and the overall tone of my skin is evening out.  I love that when I put on my make up I cannot see dark spots showing through my foundation.  It has also helped to tighten my skin out and the results have taken those 5 years off and then some.

I purchased Avon's Anew Alternative Clearly C 10% Vitamin C Serum when it was on sale, after hearing on a TV talk show that vitamin C was so good for your skin. When I first applied it, I didn't think I'd like this serum, because it feels kind of oily going on - I thought "oooh, this is going to make me feel greasy. Wrong! The serum absorbs into the skin quickly, and I find that my face feels lovely after only a couple minutes. Although the package recommends using this serum at night, I use it in the daytime, under my Olay day cream and my makeup. I have found that the redness in my face has disappeared almost completely, and my complexion is dramatically more even toned. I have only been using Clearly C for a few months now, but I have not had one single breakout since I began using it. I have since purchased a bottle for my daughter, and she loves it as well! I think that the bottle appears to be small for the price, however you only need a fingertip full of product, so I think the bottle lasts a long time. I am a fan!

I do not have dry skin.  At least not until I used this product.  The first ingredient is Alcohol and you can guess where this is going.  My face turned red and itched so bad I wanted to claw my face.  I thought at first it was something else so gave it a rest and tried it again.  Same thing.  It looked like I had a sunburn.  I called Avon and told them that I couldn't use it and they refunded my money and didn't require me to send it back.  I wonder how many people ran into this same thing.  Be very careful using anything that starts out with alcohol.  I went back to my Olay products and my skin is fine now.

After struggling with dry, flaky skin around my nose and between my eyes for more than a year, I found my perfect solution.  I tried moisurizers, nourishing cleansers, serums and exfoliating products but nothing helped until I began using Avon Anew.  After only 3 nightly applications, the flaking was nearly unnoticeable and after only 5 or 6 applications, my skin was repaired.  I'm sold!  I wish I had taken before and after photos.

My Avon rep suggested this product for me. The product advertises that it will noticeably reduce redness and improve the texture and tone of your skin in two weeks.  I agreed to try the product since my rosacea appears a very dark red during cold weather.  **Not even 1 week later**, I could see the difference.  My rosacea had gone from an "angry red" to a pale pink.  By the end of the second week, there was **NO** redness whatsoever, and all the little bumps had disappeared. I have gone from using the product every day to using it every 2 or 3 days and have no trouble maintaining the results with the scaled back usage.
