I've had this laptop for 2.5 years - it's been great - very few problems, and I love the versatility.  If you were considering a notebook style computer, i would highly recommend Averatec!!  As for the processor, just like with any computer, I highly recommend AMD processors - stay away from anything Celeron.

This little computer is less that 3 lbs, has a perfect screen size for portability, and has been dependable for me for over 5 years-most laptops just don't last that long these days! While it may be considered a little outdated these recent days, it has always served its purpose for me as a great communication device with fast processing time for downloads and web surfing, as well as a handy pal for student report writing and presentations. It's size makes it ideal for the person on the go, and with a square screen as opposed to widescreen like most modern laptops, it has a less distorted screen with optimal viewing size (today's computer screens of this size look short, making the overall picture smaller and harder to read). This brand was fairly new and unknown when I first tried it out, but I'm glad I took the risk. It was well worth the price! The Averatec brand is also durable, which has done me some serious favors when I've been in a hurry with hands full. I'd definately buy from them in the future.

I am a college student that has used this brand of laptop for 4 years and counting. I received it for a high school graduation gift and had never heard of this brand. I didn't think it would take me through my college years but it has. It has never needed service and it is used daily. I am now starting grad school and my trusty averatec is still running. I have watched my college buddies go through multiple computers and am so thankful I have an averatec. I would highly recommend this brand!

I may not own one of these but I've heard that these are some really good laptops!  The quality of these is quite well and they are very portable.  I've also heard that they are quite strong and that they don't break easily.  There is almost no way to break one in shipping it.
