So the other day I read in a health magazine that using organic products, especially on your body, should be a must.  With all the chemicals in today's products (and reading the label of my favorite, apparently caustic, shampoo), I decided to give a healthier shampoo a try.  Enter Avalon Organics Volumizing Shampoo with Rosemary, wheat protein, plus vitamin E, Panthenol & Arginine.  I chose this shampoo from the many, many organic brands out there because it claims that it volumizes and gently cleanses, while building body for fuller, healthier-looking hair.  Those are all qualities that a 40+ year old mom wants for her hair, right???  Let me start by saying that this Avalon Organics Volumizing Shampoo does create volume.  I was pleasantly surprised by the nice bounce in my hair after using this product.  I also found it to lather nicely, and it definitely rinses clean.  With that said, the smell has something to be desired.  Yes, the smell is definitely Rosemary, which would be great if I was a roast.  Don't get me wrong, I really do like Rosemary, just not as the scent for my shampoo.  Call me crazy, but perhaps a nice rose scent would be better.  I will definitely try other Avalon Organics shampoo's, only I will look next time for one with a scent that's not so herb-smelling.
