Purchased this DVD player on Black Friday due to the incredible sales prices, screen size, and our previous Minitek that we owned for 4yrs died on the way in the car to grandma's house.   Up until now, I had a good opinion of Audiovox from previous cell phone usage and positive comments about their car stereo systems and DVD systems. Took it out of the box on the way home, set it up for the kids to watch their DVD and it worked for 5 minutes and then kept "stalling". After a .5hr I gave up and the kids were greatly disappointed on 1.5hr car ride home.  It appeared the laser was defective. Went back to target and got it replaced and this time it worked, but only for 3 months.  it just died and and I can't tell if its the AC charger or the unit itself. I expected a lot more from Audiovox than this.   Needless to say, stay away from this unit and I probably won't consider Audiovox DVD players or car stereos for any future purchases.
