Good natural product

3

I've been using the Aubrey Organics Vegecol for a while now. I like that it's natural and isn't tested on animals. I have very sensitive skin that's prone to break outs and redness. Aubrey Organics Vegecol doesn't make me break out but it doesn't really help my redness in any sort of way. I don't feel like my skin is getting the moisturizing that it needs so I'm actually looking into other products. I think this stuff smells a little like lemon Pledge as well. When I lived in Tennessee and the air wasn't as dry Aubrey Organics Vegecol worked great for my skin. Now that I'm out in Northern California the air is drier. I think that's why it's not working for me any longer. If you are looking for a great natural product that won't break you out and that lightly moisturizes your skin, Aubrey Organics Vegecol is definitely worth a look. I also use the Vegecol cleanser and toner for a complet skin care set.

Great for break-out prone skin

I love this moisturizer! I have really sensitive skin that is prone to break-outs and hives. I also have oily skin, but it can get really dry at times, especially in the winter. When we switched our household to paraben-free products this year, I purchased an Aubrey Organics facial care sampler, and I fell absolutely in love with the Vegecol moisturizer! The smell is pleasant- it reminds me of lemons. The texture is not runny, but not thick either, and is easy to rub in. I was worried it would be greasy with the vegetable oils that are in it, but it's not in the least. Best of all, it does not make my skin break-out or get hives (not an easy task). Overall, I love this product. Now for the cons- it only comes in a 2 oz size, which in my opinion isn't large enough. It is also rather expensive for this 2 oz size, and being the bottle is so small, one would have to purchase many bottles a year if this were to be used daily. Despite that, I will continue to buy it and love it!

Never once broke out my ultra-sensitive skin!

I am writing a review for Aubrey Organics Vegecol with Aloe Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin. This product is packaged in a short, flat tube which is stored cap-down. I have found that the flip-top cap is very difficult to open and can actually hurt your fingers doing so. Even though the cream is stored lid-down, somehow the product is so thick that it hardly ever has collected near the dispenser hole. I have to vigorously shake the tube in order to get enough cream near the opening. The cream itself is medium yellow, appears pearly, and smells like lemon meringue. Some users may be sensitive to the distinct aroma, but I did not find it unpleasant or overpowering. The cream is fairly thick and a bit sticky. If you apply too much to your face or if applied to a dry face, the cream does not seep in completely, leaving a "gummy" layer on the skin. I have found the best way to apply this product is to have wet skin, rub about a dime-sized amount into your hands, and apply a light layer. Although this product does have some packaging and application drawbacks, it does offer average moisturizing for someone without very dry skin, the price is quite reasonable for a skin care item, and it is non-toxic, as evidenced by its #2 rating on the Skin Deep website. All in all, this moisturizer has worked well for me and has never once broken out my ultra-sensitive skin.
