Because the Asko dishwasher is a higher priced appliance and because it lacks overall superior quality I would suggest going with a different brand, expecially if you want excellent quality and are willing to pay the price. Having said that...it does clean well. Noise Level Quieter than most, but for the price expected less noise. Cleaning Time I suppose because it is energy efficient it takes longer to clean. A bit of a disappointment when having a large dinner party and require 2 loads of dishes to be cleaned or if you are wanting to empty the dishwasher the same evening as they're washed, ie after the supper meal. Loading Flexibility Although you can put lots of thinner plates and bowls in the dishwasher the tines are too closely spaced for larger (thicker) plates and bowls. When using my china, which is thinner, I am able to put plates between each tine, however, then the rack becomes extremely heavy, is harder to roll and squeaks when wheeled forward. Sounds like a cheap, squeaky appliance!! Performance A good thing about this dishwasher is that it cleans very well. The glassware and silverware are sparkling after being cleaned. Design Although I wanted a smooth, no button front, I do miss knowing what cycle the dishwasher is on. Durability The racks, even when not full, squeak when rolled in and out. For the money spent and apparent quality of an Asko I would expect a quiet glide.
