My wife and I knew what was ahead.  Another mowing season and we were stuck with another year fo milking as much as we could out of a lawn tractor that we have had for the last 10 years.  Ordinarily, it would have been O.K., but you see, we have 7 acres of property and I simply hate to pay people to do something I can do myself. The last straw came when, after replacing the main drive belt last year, the hydrostatic drive stopped working this year.  For all you who don't know, it would likely cost more to replace that item than the tractor was worth.  So, it was clear that it was time to bite the bullet and get another mower.  But we had no idea which one to get.  Over the years, we had tested several models but none of them really stood out. So we went to our local outdoor power supply store to check out what they had to offer so we could gut our grass.  After all the proverbial dust settled, we settled on the Ariens 60 inch, 25 HP Zero Turn mower.  I haven't regretted the decision once and it's a lot of fun to cut the grass with something as powerful and reliable as this mower.  If you have a lot of grass to cut, you need to put Ariens on your list.
