AppleCare is a decent service. I have used mine 3 times. The only problem is that it is a lot of money to buy at first. It does help though and it allows you to get your computer fixed for free or for a very low fare. Apple computers tend to have a lot of problems, so it's definitely worth it to spend the extra money to get the protection. All you have to do is make an appointment online and then show up with your AppleCare proof and your computer is fixed as soon as possible. It's a pretty good service.

I've had to use AppleCare twice: Once for a Titanium PowerBook and another time for Aluminum PowerBook. One time was for a hard drive failure and the second for a motherboard failure. In each instance, AppleCare more than paid for itself, especially with the motherboard failure.
