Have had my IMac since January and love love love it. Never am I bothered with questions about whether I really want to do this or do I have permission. Never have had a virus scare, altho I do have virus protection. Much faster then my PC and it takes less time to fire up and think. Just installed Bootcamp so I could use my Quicken as Q for Mac is ridiculous. Would never ever go back to a PC.

I am a 21 year old college student that lives at home. Living at home kind of sucks as a 21 year old but with the Mac that my family just purchased my life is so much better. There are no viruses to worry about so I have been downloading all kinds of awesome music and games and such. This has been huge because I love music and it sucked having a PC because I couldn't trust anything that I downloaded. I'm sure that it's possible to have a pc and not worry about that but I'm just not tech sophisticated enough. Having a Mac on the other hand makes it a non-issue. Besides the consistent high speed, and the no hassle security, the Mac is awesomely efficient, aesthetically pleasing, and has sweet Apps like, my favorite, Garage band. Changing from a PC to apple has really made an improvement on the quality of my life. Now I am never bored. Plus with the music I've been writing and shirts that I've been designing I'm actually making some money while I have fun. I guess I didn't mention it but the Mac has allowed me to become a bit of an entrepreneur. Its not necessarily professional quality but it's enough to make a product and share my music electronically. Plus I've been able to design shirts and stickers that I use to market my band. I had been working with an Apple computer at work but a PC at home and when it came time to get a new one for the house we wanted to try something new.  I was excited to get a Mac because I  knew that they had less problems as far as viruses and such and we have not had one problem with this computer.  We've had it for more than a year and I haven't 1 complaint.  The screen is a wonderfully big size, color is amazing and it is so easy to use.  I would highly recommend this computer to anyone who is in the market for a new computer.  With our old PC, which was a laptop, we would constantly be battling with viruses (even though we were very careful with what we were opening in our emails) and it seemed to run slower and slower with each program we put on it.  With the Mac we have a ton of programs running all at the same time and it runs just as fast as if we only had 1 program open.  Best purchase we ever made.

When we decided to shop for a new home computer, we spent time reading reviews and decided that we wanted to make the switch from a PC to a Mac. Both my husband and I had been introduced to Apple with our Iphones, and were excited to see what the Mac had to offer. We will never go back... The IMac was so easy to set up...take it out of the box, plug in the keyboard and the mouse and you are up and running (we did install Office). I loved that it was so simple. The screen size on the 21.5 inch monitor is fantastic, and it is the perfect size for our needs. About the time we bought the mac, we began doing some video editing. We were able to use the IMovie to produce some very basic quality videos and then use IDVD to burn them onto a DVD. The integration between all of the programs is so seemless. The IMac is also very durable. My 2 year old son pulled it off the desk on more than one occassion, and it has suffered no damage. We have had it for almost 2 years now, and it still works perfectly. We are now Mac users for life!
