Great laptop computer

5

After many years of owning Apple desktop computers, I decided to get my first laptop model, a MacBook Notebook with OS X Leopard software.  As a long-time Mac user for home/personal use, I prefer the ease of the Mac platform to the more cumbersome and virus-prone PCs I've used at work.  This model has considerable speed with Intel's Core 2 Duo processor that runs applications fast and efficiently.  It is easy to use and comes with the useful suite of iLife programs such as iPhoto and iMovie (the free classes offered at Apple's retail stores are a great way to get an overview of the computer's applications).  I like that the computer has the ability to create PDF files -- this is a great feature to have for capturing online info and sending files to people, and I use it a lot.  The MacBook has a nice looking, sleek design, as most Apple products do, and the compact size makes it easy to travel with.

MacBook Vs. PC and Netbooks

5

I've been a computer lover ever since my grade school years when something know as The Computer Lab first became a part of school. Over the years I've work with and on many brands, types, sizes, and shapes of computers. Macbook far supasses all others in my opion. There a several reasons I feel that Macbooks are the ceam of the crop when it comes to laptop computers, however here are just a few: First: Power On and Start Up time can't be beat. with many other computers I've own and operated in the past and present I would have to wait anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes to be able to work on a regular PC or Netbook. With a Macbook I'm up and running in less than a minute. Second: Viruses. When it come to viruses there are few and far between when it comes to a Macbook as opposed to the countless thousands geared for PC's. That alone provides a lot of peace of mind in addition to my network security. Third: One of the coolest things about a Macbook is that you can run a virtual PC on you Macbook. So if you use software that is only available on a PC you won't be limited. With a Macbook you can have the best of both computer worlds. Of course you would have to purchase the PC software and setup the virtual PC. There are many more reasons why I recomend the Macbook, however these are a few of the best reasons.

Apple MacBook

I wasn't sure if I would like using a Mac after being a pc user all my life but what a difference! My laptop pc kept overheating and even cracked the screen and was super slow. Now I haven't had any trouble with this Mac overheating and have no speed issues. The only trouble I have had is the charging cord has quit working and I have purchased 2 new ones which work until after the 30 day warranty (Best Buy) which meant I had to make an appointment with the Apple store and take my serial number in with the cord to get it replace which was a pain. I also like that the Mac doesn't have crash issues or virus issues which was constantly an issue with the pc,

Awesome, one of a kind laptop

Apple has really put out a great computer with this model. The Apple 13.3" MacBook fulfills all your computing needs and is extremely easy to use. It comes pre-installed with the operating system, plus a whole gammut of useful applications including iTunes, Safari, Dictionary, Calulator, Address Book, iCal, Automator, Dashboard, iChat, Garage Band, iPhoto, iMovie, DVD player, and many others. And if that isn't enough, downloading more applications was never easier than now with the all new app store! The hardware includes a high resolution screen with a built-in iSight camera, a superdrive (DVD/CD), 2 USB ports, a firewire port, a mini-DVI port, ethernet port, and a mag-safe power adapter. Macintosh computers are inherently resistant to viruses. By buying a Mac, the extra price will pay for itself in saved tech and virus eradication fees. The only downsides about this computer is the power supply. The mag-safe adapter has a tendancy to short circuit and the battery-life is limited to roughly one year. However, the pros far outweigh the cons--this is a great computer.

An apple a day...

All I wanted was a cute computer that would let me type my papers for grad school and go on the internet. This macbook lets me do a whole lot more than my basic requirements, but this is the most basic computer for Apple (I think). As a student buying an apple computer, you get great discounts like 10% off the purchase, a free ipod shuffle and a free printer (when you mail in the rebate). The macbook is so easy to navigate, but whenever you have a question the Apple customer service people are amazingly knowledgeable (they better be with a title like 'Genius Bar'). Also, I don't think they make viruses for apple computers, which is a total plus because my first laptop crashed due to all of the viruses on it! Overall, the computer was a great deal, it still runs pretty well. The 1 thing I have noticed go downhill in the 3 years I've had it are: - something is wrong with my internet connection - it is not the wireless router, but something wrong with the computer.

My Apple MacBook is the Best Laptop I've Ever Had!

5

Me and my family members have always had problems with computers. Usually they break down on me in about 2 years and start giving me problems within a year. Of course this is usually AFTER the warranty runs out! I've had my Mac for over 2.5 years and it has yet to give me a single problem! I absolutely will never go back to a PC. Many viruses are created solely for PCs. In fact, most of my computer techie friends say that if everyone switched to a Mac, they would be out of a job (repairing computers)! I have another friend who has had his Power Book FOREVER and it has never given him a single problem. I highly recommend getting a MacBook or any Mac computer! It will last forever. I don't know a single person who has a problem with a Mac computer except that some programs are not compatible with Mac. In my opinion, that one little problem is worth dealing with for all of the numerous benefits you will get by switching to Mac!

Best Computer Ever

5

PROS: 1. So quick, not waiting for a program to open, no need to always restart. Just love it 2. Love that is closes without having to shut down, has saved me hours. Just love it! 3. Sleek and small, does not take up a lot of room and looks nice everywhere it sits. 4. Internet options are amazing. 5. No viruses!!!!! This beats PC hands down, so happy i don' t have to always worry about getting a virus or having to purchase virus protection! Just love it! CONS: 1. Mouse is hard to learn, but once you do it is great. 2. Commands are confusing, I need a self help class with them 3. Love Microsoft word, big bummer for this computer, i have parralles but it doesn't work the same, miss Word boooooooo 4. Power Cord Stinks. I have been through 3 already and they are so expensive, are you kidding me! Does not stay in good and always stops working boooo. 5. NOt a fan of the white cover, it shows dirt, and can look cheap.

Somewhat decent laptop

3

Having owned this laptop for 3 years I can say I do not regret purchasing it whatsoever. With that said, I do regret owning it for all this time. When I first used my Macbook I can say the bootup is very quick, about less than 15 seconds. I can say the login and the interface is very user friendly as well. The build quality needs a bit of work as my laptop keys are breaking off and the bottom of my laptop has cracks. For the price paid I can say the performance of my laptop could be better. There are times when I am multitasking(internet browsing, chatting, photoshop) and the laptop would hickup at times. There is an area on the arm rest next to the trackpad that gets extremely warm after hours of use and the bottom get's excessively warm. The battery life is mediocre as I get around 2-3 hours with internet browsing alone. Overall I say it's a somewhat decent laptop for the price paid but I can't reccomend this laptop to anyone. I don't know if it's just me but there are too many faults my macbook has.

Solid build

5

Had the Apple for two years and very reliable. I like the design and how small it is for a 13.3 inch. Lightweight and portable. I own a Dell laptop and both have their strengths. Apple's operating system takes a bit getting use to, when compared to Windows. Both are great, and a matter of preference. The Apple is very solid and has high quality parts. The power supply is easy to use and battery life is long. Price wise, an Apple cost more than a regular  Window's based laptop, but you still get a good value given its solid construction. Screen resolution is bright and easy on the eyes. I use to own an earlier version of this laptop and it has come a longs ways. Much quicker and easier to navigate. Works like a breeze on the internet. ALso, the tech support is top notch. So in conclusion, you can't go wrong with this Apple laptop, may cost a bit more than others, but well worth the extra change.

Worth every penny!

5

I used to be a pc user. Macs just seemed way too complicated. Then I met my boyfriend who adores everything Apple. Slowly but surely I was convinced Macs were the way to go. Then my Dell laptop broke after replacing nearly everything in it. That was it, I was getting a Mac. It seemed pricey at first, but it has been worth every penny! I decided to buy a refurbished Macbook and spend money on Applecare for the extra protection. I have only had to use it once. It has been a great two years with my macbook. It got me through my last years of college and not once did it die on me, loose a file, or simply cause any problems! The only issue I did have was when the cd drive kind of went out, but that was quickly and painlessly fixed by Apple. The battery still holds a good charge, it runs quickly, and I still love it just as much as the day I got. I am so glad I went with a Mac! Once you use it a few times it becomes so easy. Files are easy to find and everything works the way it is supposed to. I would recommend a mac to anyone! They are worth it and don't disappoint!
