I have pretty thick, unruly hair that can get difficult to manage. I usually forgo washing for as long as possible because it seems to worsen the more that I wash it, and the first day after washing my hair is the worst. Since discovering this peppermint shampoo from American Crew though, I actually find myself looking forward to shower time and washing my hair. To be honest, I swiped it from my husbands stash in a pinch when I found myself completely out of my regular shampoo. I am so glad that I made the switch, because I never looked back. I could not believe how good this shampoo smelled and how nice it felt while lathering it into my hair. It felt very luxurious and cleansing on my scalp, it even seemed to make it tingle a little bit with the peppermint. Afterwards I noticed my hair felt very hydrated and less crunchy than usual. I now buy this shampoo for both my husband and myself because I love it so much.

I have previously purchased and used this American Crew Peppermint Cleanse Shampoo and came to the conclusion that for me personally it was just an ok shampoo. The first thing about this shampoo is that it is pretty pricey and not really worth the money you pay for it. This shampoo kind of tricks you and makes you think it is doing something be cause the peppermint makes your head a little tingly. I have found that this American Crew shampoo also does not clean so well either. It actually left my hair feeling a little weighed down and kind of unclean. It didn't do much in the moisturizing sense either. It felt dirty and dry after I washed it. This is not the worse shampoo I have ever tried but it certainly is not the best either. Another thing I really didn't like either is the scent of this shampoo. I don't really like the scent of peppermint and it was kind of overpowering. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this shampoo to anyone.

There are really not enough words to say how much I love American Crew Peppermint Cleanse Shampoo. My husband bought it when I ran out of my regular shampoo and at first I wasn't sure about it. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised though after using it. One of the first things you notice when using American Crew Peppermint Cleanse Shampoo is the scent. It really smells great! I think that this is an especially good shampoo to use when you wash your hair in the morning as it has a really invigorating scent that helps to wake you up. The other thing I really like about this shampoo is the fact that it works. It gets my hair super clean and doesn't leave any kind of weird residue on my hair. The only real downside that I've ever found with this shampoo is the fact that it can be a little hard to find, but that really isn't a huge issue. I would highly recommend American Crew Peppermint Cleanse Shampoo for anyone looking for a new shampoo that will get their hair nice and clean and also that has a very invigorating scent to help them wake up in the morning.

I purchased this shampoo when I lived in a little hole of an apartment that had absolutely horrible water quality. My scalp had been getting itchier and itchier but it wasn't dandruff. This shampoo was chosen because of the peppermint and tea tree oil listed as the selling points. I figured that the combo would work to clear my scalp and hair of the junk that the water was depositing. Plus, the smell of peppermint on your hair and in the shower steam is a great way to wake up. I'd half expected for the shampoo to make my scalp tingle but it pretty much didn't. That was acceptable. I really just wanted it to combat the buildup on my scalp and make it stop itching. It took a few weeks but it really worked. I found that it cleaned almost too well and I had to make sure to use a good conditioner to keep my hair from drying out. It worked well enough that I wasn't scratching my scalp in public as though I had fleas. I would recommend this shampoo.

I have been using this American Crew shampoo for a couple years off and on. This shampoo is slightly expensive when compared to other types and brands, however I definitely can tell the difference in performance of each. This shampoo lathers very easy and penetrates to the scalp. The peppermint can be felt at the scalp but does an excellent job in promoting moisture and limits itchy scalp. I have thinning hair and it is critical that I keep it properly moisturized otherwise I will lose it. This shampoo was recommended by my stylist. Effectiveness This shampoo really helps reduce itchy scalp that I have suffered with for years and helps keep my scalp moisturized. I love the peppermint scent but it does tend to provide a burning sensation while using on my thinning hair. I have noticed it getting more and more intense on my scalp as my hair loss has increased. Scent The peppermint scent is amazing. My scalp and hair feel completely refreshed upon application and prolonged usage.

I have very thick curly hair. I unfortunately need more moisture than what this wonderful shampoo offers. I completely enjoyed the peppermint especially if used in the early AM it will really wake you up. I used it daily for a few weeks and my scalp dried out a bit. My hair seemed like it was untamable as well. Maybe it would have worked better for me had I used it once or twice a week. I found I needed to use more of the conditioner. Which is a shame because the scent is heavenly. I would not recommend this product for daily use or for people who have dandruff. It obviously did not work well for my curly hair. I looked like carrot top. I am not sure how well it works for color treated hair either. I just know it made my scalp itch and flake. I would have loved to have continue using it. I could use an extra kick in the early morning! Effectiveness Your scalp will tingle and feel fresh but it did dry me out after weeks of use. Scent Fresh peppermint awakens your senses!

This is a case of you get what you pay for. The shampoo is simply amazing. It foams very well and it doesn't strip your hair of all of its essential oils. The next ( most noticeable ) feature of the product is the beautiful peppermint scent. If you like getting a blast of nose clearing fume into your shower then this is your product. Its a nice pleasant smell that really packs a punch. Great your those morning showers were you are really not feeling like waking up. Unfortunately, while this product has a lot of great benefits its arguable whether the juice is worth the squeeze. This review is only designed to tell you how I feel about the product. I'm not going to assume if you are ok with expending the amount of money required to use this stuff on a daily basis. It is a great product and even if you don't use it daily I recommend having some on hand so that if you need a special look one day you this in your arsenal. It leaves your hair nice and prepped for any of the Crew styling products, which are also fantastic.
