This is a good, basic, overall kitchen stove. It has four gas burners. One of them is a 'power burner' and is slightly larger than the other three. I find it helpful when I want to cook in larger pots, or boil a lot of water for pasta. You do have to be careful when you are baking in the oven. I have found that if you put your baking trays too close to the right side (where the gas comes up) that it will burn more on that side. So you do have to be careful to make sure that anything you bake is centered and not put in with too many other things in the oven so that it bakes evenly. I also wish that my stove was a darker color because it looks cleaner. I find that the white is hard to keep clean and that it shows the stains faster. I think that this stove performs as you would think it does by looking at it. It works well for a family and does basic cooking and baking well. I cook often for it for our family meals and I am happy with how our food turns out. I do not really consider myself a 'fancy' cook or anything, but it this stove works well with our family.

We purchased this range to replace a 10 year old basic, GE gas range. The burners on this Amana light quickly and immediately. The stove cooks consistently and tells you as it preheats what the temperature is (nice to know how much longer you have to wait). We have the black and stainless steel model and it wipes up nicely. It's so attractive it makes me want to replace all our appliances (which we actually did to the over-the-range microwave). Very pleased so far! We used it frequently through the holidays without disappointment. Temperature Control Digital controls allow you to more precisely set the temperature. Durability We've only owned it for a few months but it seems sturdy and well built. Design Gorgeous! Transforms the kitchen in the section it's in. Ease of Cleaning Wipes up well and the way the gas burners are designed is much better than our previous range where the crust would fall below.

Our budget for appliances is always on the low end, so we are very happy when we get one that serves us well. This range has done a very good job for our family. It works well and has been durable enough. It has had some minor issues with small annoyances, but nothing we couldn't live with. none of the problems have required us to replace it, but they are enough to mention, so that others can get a sense of what to expect from an Amana Range purchase. Some of the tings that have gone wrong with this range are: the broiler has broken. It would have cost way too much to fix, so we decided to just live with it. It has not been fun living without the broiler option, but we've managed to find alternatives. It also had a problem with the door mechanism, which was mostly cosmetic, so it did not need repair and has not caused us any problem with using the range. The timer has also been an on-again, off-again feature. It worked for a long time when we first got it, then decided it was going to completely malfunction. After a number of months, it just started working again. I also have to say that the cavity does not heat evenly. The difference in the temperature is not enough to cause a big problem, but it is something I am painfully aware of when I use it. This range was affordable, still works and even with the annoying problems, it has given us some very good service and we are not sorry to have had it.

So initially I was quite skeptical of the differences among the many cooktops. This unit is certainly on the budget end, but I didn't see any reason to pay more for another more expensive unit. I cook regularly and use this stove daily and it has served me well for the past 3 years. My chief complain is that the auto-ignition function does not work reliably any more. I can hear the gas coming out and I can see the sparking at the burner level but it doesn't always catch (and this is after a minute of waiting). The problem has gotten so bad that I have purchased a sparker (normally used in welding) from a hardware store and manually light the stove. (I previously used a barbeque lighter but got tired of buying and not really needing the lighter fuel) Overall the stove has been very good. I use the stove part every day and the oven maybe twice a week. I would recommend getting a ceramic pizza stone and just leaving it on the bottom rack for whatever you're cooking, it really helps to even out the temperature in the oven.

I recently moved into a new to me home. The appliances in the house needed replacement right away. We read reviews and for the price we decided on Amana. The stove has alot of nice features we werent accustomed to. I love the door window and light. My old stove did not have that. Only down side is you have to keep oven cleaner. The stove top gets very hot quickly so at times its hard to keep things simmering on a low boil without boiling over, The oven is great. It reaches desired temperature quickly and doesnt have any blind spots that keeps food from cooking evenly. Front or back food gets done the same. The oven seems quite large. We had no trouble fitting turkey and all the fixings in at once. I love how easy stove and oven are to clean. The sealed burners are great to help from getting crumbs under the covers. The one downside to this range is the knobs. I have a hard time reading the numbers on the stove knob which caused me to burn a few things at the beginning. I now keep reader cheaters close by when Im setting oven temp. Temperature Control stove is true to life burners are real hot Heat Distribution Oven is real accurate right to left and front to back. Ease of Cleaning Most messes clean up with minimal elbow grease if tended to right away.

We purchased this range last year before we moved into our new house. We picked it because it had good reviews and was in our price range. Before we bought this, I had to use an oven that was my landlords and it took three times as long to bake than it should so any new oven would be an improvement. I loved it since the first time I baked in it. Whatever I did bake first, I cannot remember, it baked in the exact time the recipe called for and I was so excited. I've used it a lot in a year and have no complaints. The burners work great. I really don't use the specific burners. One is hotter than the rest and one is a simmer but I don't think I've ever used the simmer because I usually just need to boil or fry something but it's nice to have when I need it. I did have a catastrophe the day before Thanksgiving. I made a home made peanut butter cheesecake and put it in the oven. I started to do dishes and smelled a strange smell and noticed the room was a little smokey. I paniced and opened the range door and it was smokey inside, no fire though. I let it air a little and closed it and returned to baking the cheesecake. My mother came in and asked what was going on and she opened the oven and it was still smoking so I had to take my poor cheesecake out. I let the oven cool and noticed there was a huge black spill on the oven floor. I did some research and concluded that the butter I used in the crust had dripped on the oven and butter burns and causes oven to smoke. I was so glad my oven was not broke but sad about my cheese cake. I cleaned the oven good and whipped up another cheese cake and put tin foil around it and the butter did not burn this time and the cheesecake turned out great. The controls on it are easy to use and work great. I do not like how when the timer goes off, it beeps constantly until you stop it. I understand it's probably a saftely feature but it's really annoying if I am feeding my baby or am in the bathroom or something. I do love this oven and will definitely consider purchasing another Amana when the time comes. Ease of Cleaning I don't think I will ever rate an oven 5 for very good because my arm is not long enough to reach the whole oven with the door in the way.

My old freestanding range bit the dust after only 5 years of use...and I am not a big oven user. Since we were thrown for a loop, we were financially unprepared to replace our range. Therefore, price was a huge determining factor when we were choosing a new one. The Amana range fiit the bill here. Maybe though, you get what you pay for. I do like that it boils water extremely fast. This makes cooking pasta quick and easy. However, since the burners heat up so much, it is very difficult to keep food from boiling over. I have to put the flame on almost as low as it will go if I don't want saute items all over my stove. The oven portion seems to heat up extra hot as well. I always set the temperature for 10-15 degrees cooler than the recipe calls for. I notice that when I make cookies, the exterior of the cookies is done but the interior is still undercooked. If I wait for the interior to cook, than the exterieor is overdone. One final complaint is that when you set the timer, it does not stop beeping on its own. This can get very annoying if you know that it has gone off, but just can't get to it right away or if you are using the timer for something other than cooking food.

Recently purchased the Amana Gas range. I Love the oven. Seems things cook so much faster. Where my old stove I put something at 450 it took forever to cook! With the new amana I have burned a few meals forgetting I didnt need the extra time! It is not stain resistant :/ The burners dont always turn on, I have to keep matches or a lighter close to the stove to light the burners. Kind of a pain. Im happy with my stove, but wish I went with a different model.
