We have owned this Amana bottom freezer refrigerator for about 10 years now. It is still going strong and serving it's purpose. It has an attractive design and the freezer on the bottom makes it much more energy-efficient. There are many different ways you can arrange the shelves on the inside of the fridge. This makes it perfect for large families like ours. With six people in the house we go through a lot of groceries during the week. This is much better than the smaller refrigerator we used to own where I had to play Tetris to get all of my groceries to be able to fit. I only need to have it set on the lowest setting. If I have it turned up to coldest, my things freeze. This refrigerator was cheaper than other similar models at the time, but it has served us well over the years. I do not have one complaint about this refrigerator. It does have the added water feature on the inside, but we do not use that. I do however like that the water is on the inside of the fridge instead of having the dispenser on the outside. Unfortunately, this refrigerant has since been discontinued, but if you can find one at a secondhand shop or leftover somewhere, I would still recommend it to anyone looking for an attractive stainless steel refrigerator with the bottom freezer. I wouldn't steer you wrong.

This is the first bottom-freezer fridge we've ever had. We love it so much that we refused to sell it with the house when we moved and took it with us instead, although we left all the other appliances behind. It's sturdy, easy to clean with its glass shelves, and the textured door surface doesn't show dirt and fingerprints. The pull-out freezer drawers are so convenient and make it easier to tell what's in the freezer, without having to take everything out like with a top freezer. It's also easier to organize your freezer by type of food, something I like to do. The only two drawbacks with this unit is that it runs a lot and is quite noisy. The other problem is that the left crisper, for some reason, gets very cold but we just keep food like apples and other things that should be kept cold anyway. The spaces on the door are adjustable, which makes it nice at holidays and times when we have different shaped bottles and containers. We don't have to try to fit everything on the shelves. I'd recommend this fridge to anyone and have talked two of my friends into getting similar ones. They saw mine when they visited and fell in love with the bottom freezer convenience.
