We have had this refrigerator for a little over a year now. We have not had any big issues with it. It has a white exterior/interior and has clear plastic shelves in the main part of the refrigerator. The door has white, opaque shelving and the freezer has a coated wire drawer on top and bottom. I only gave it a four star and not a five star review because we have accidentally left the freezer drawer slightly ajar and didn't notice it like that before we left for a week vacation. Needless to say, we lost a lot of the food in there and probably ran up the electricity bill a little. I know that was a user error, but I guess I would just warn people that it doesn't have an audible warning like a lot of fridges/freezers do now, when you accidentally leave a door ajar. We realize it's not the fridge's fault for what happened, but it's something to consider when purchasing a new fridge/freezer, especially if you have children. Plus, this freezer drawer DID look like it was shut. Now, we have just learned to give it an extra shove, even if it looks shut, before we leave the house for vacation! Also, the wire drawers in the freezer are somewhat problematic if you have freeze pops or individually wrapped ice cream cones/bars. They can get stuck in the wire drawers or fall all the way through. That can be annoying. Otherwise, no big issues!

I acquired this unit used when I bought my house so I am not sure of exact age. But it still works great! I have been using it for almost 10 years now and have had no problems at all. Great product! Doesn't use a lot of electricity, quiet running, easy to clean, very durable. The freezer itself works better, and stays cooler than my chest deep freezer. Adjustable shelves are wonderful and makes storing things like milk and juice much easier. Tons of storage space! I can easily store 2 weeks worth of food for 8 people and still have room to store leftovers, snack items, condiments, and necessity items such as milk and eggs. Very sturdy also Noise Level Produces no sound unless opened Interior Organization Tons of space and very well thought out design Temperature Control Sometimes items in fridge will freeze Ease of Cleaning Super easy to clean. All shelves are removable and easy to replace. Durability I have 6 children and my unit only has a few small dents due to heavy objects being pushed into it. I have seen other units (different brands) that have way more surface damage and are treated a lot better than mine Design Wonderful design!

This Amana refrigerator came with our house we purchased almost 3 years ago. It is a good, simple refrigerator without all the bells and whistles. We have never had a single problem with it in the time that we have had it and our food has always been cold. I do wish it had a little bit larger freezer (we freeze a lot of items), but we bought a deep freeze to help with that. Overall, the refigerator has been good and has done it's job nicely. Noise Level The only time I ever hear any noise is when the ice maker is on, and then it is quite noisy with all of the ice dropping. We have opted to turn it off because it was so loud and drove the dog crazy. Interior Organization There are plenty of bins and shevles for everything to fit nicely and neatly. Temperature Control There is a temperature control knob that allows you to select how cold you want the items. The coldest temperature in the fridge made our beverages icy. Typically, we leave both the fridge and freezer knobs in the middle/average setting. Ease of Cleaning I just use a wet cloth to wipe it down and any messes come up nicely. Durability The one large issue I have with it is the bottom part where your feet go, that covers the bottom part of the unit (directly under the freezer) has come off. I am constantly putting it back on and if your toe even touches it, it will fall off again. Very annoying. Design Nice, simple unit.

After having gone through a few refrigerators and needing a spare for all of our winter food storage, we decided on the Amana bottom freezer refrigerator. The storage capacity is top of the line and it has been a solid runner for four or five years now. Noise Level Very quiet running, this refrigerator is a nice addition to the room- you hear it, but not overly so. Interior Organization This refrigerator is fantastic for organizing. Ours has adjustable glass shelves which allow for a variety of heights to accommodate different storage needs. The door also has fantastic ability to hold lots of milk, juice, and other things, even small like butter, cream cheese, eggs, etc. There are two very large produce drawers and a nice meat drawer as well. Temperature Control It is not always easy to get the hang of what works best, but after messing around with it for a while, we managed to find a good temperature that works well. It does have a small problem in the spring when the room gets a bit too chilly the stuff in the drawers tends to freeze a bit, but the rest of the year it is fine. Ease of Cleaning Very easy to clean. Durability The door compartments are not overly durable, but they are still hanging in there. The rest of the unit has lasted nicely for almost five years. Design This is an excellent design, but there is one thing to be aware of- if you leave the refrigerator door open during a hot day too long, it can and will freeze over the opening that circulates between the refrigerator and the freezer. That will cause ice to build up to close that opening so that the refrigerator will stop being cold. The solution is that you defrost it, but it takes a while. It is a small area, and takes some time to get melted so it will work again. Otherwise it is a great design. When it is hot out, however, it sure does make you mad to have your refrigerator stop working. Thankfully we had a spare to move the food to until we figured out what was wrong with it.

The Amana bottom freezer model ABB2522FEW is a very practical refrigerator that has a lot of useful space. We bought this to replace a fairly young  (5 yrs) Kenmore side by side that was having issue after issue. Rather than continue to put money into the side by side that didn't offer me the useful space I felt we needed, we researched for a while and decided on this. Even though it was the same size dimensions as the Kenmore, the cubic space is larger in the Amana. This means I can fit more food into the Amana. The freezer is at the bottom and it pulls out like a drawer. This is very convenient! It is easier to find things in a drawer that is all the way pulled out than digging around with your head in a freezer. The refrigerator is so spacious and easy to clean! The shelves easily pop up and out to wipe down and the shelves in the door lift right out as well. It is such a breeze, I don't dread cleaning the fridge. The door is deep and loaded with shelves. We buy two different types of milk and they fit in the door along with 2-liter soda bottles. The temperature control is digital, this is supposed to be better than dial. You always know the temp of your refrigerator and freezer. It is very easy to adjust. There is also a fruit bin and a vegetable bin that have their own separate humidity controls. The unit itself is on wheels so you can pull it out and vacuum the coils once in a while. I am very happy with the Amana and will never go back to kenmore.     Durability The handles have fallen off and even after proffessional repair are loose and pop off.

Chose this one specifically because it had the best arrangement of space (and has lots of that to boot). Plenty of room in the door for several gallons of milk, shelves have lots of tall space, can rearrange. Shelves are also clear- so easy to spot a mess, and are easy to pop out and wash. Freezer space is also very large, with an upper shelf half occupied by ice storage and a large bin underneath that. The only drawback is lack of automation, but for those who prefer their water and ice to go through a filter first it's no big deal. No other issues to report even after five years of usage, the door not closing on its own being the biggest drawback I can think of. Outer surface will hold magnets!

I have had this model of Amana for several years and couldn't be happier with it.  My husband and I moved into our first home three years ago and found the fridge that was left to be inoperable.  We rushed out into our small town and settled on this Amana, basically because it was on of the only units to fit into the small space afforded for the fridge in our kitchen. It may have been a purchase where we had few options, but we couldn't be happier with the unit.  In fact, we have moved twice since then, and we insist on bringing this fridge with us.  If our new home happens to already have a fridge, it gets relegated to the basement or is quickly sold. So what do we like so much about this appliance?  It's reliable (we've had absolutely no problems with it or the ice maker), there is a bunch of door space, and it's amazing how much food you can cram into this relatively small fridge.  My favorite feature, however?  The bottom freezer!!  At first I was a bit skeptical at this setup, but now I can't see myself living with a traditional fridge.  You don't dig into your freezer nearly as much as you do the main refrigerator so it just makes good sense.  If your looking for a good, no frills, reliable refrigerator this truly is the fridge for you.

I picked this amana refrigerator for 2 great reasons. The freezer on the bottom, and the extra large size to hold all of my refrigerated items which I always have alot of. My smaller one just wasn't serving it's purpose. My husband bought me this huge refrigerator for christmas this year, and I really haven't had a chance to see how loyal it's going to be in reliability, but will let you know later on. So far so good, and I love all the space. The dorr even holds my gallon jugs of milk, and ice tea. WOW i was amazed. I love the look, the size and the holding capacity.
